The fact that Zuko knew he was destined to stand alongside the Avatar the whole time is mind-blowing! He fought his destiny so hard before he finally embraced it. ❤
Let's all be careful with the notion of "destiny", for it isn't something that describes total inevitability but rather the "general direction" for events to take place.
In my opinion, ATLA is largely about seeing through appearances and reconciliation. The Fire Nation commited the worst crime in history by completely genociding the Air Nomads, plunging the world in long, terrible war. Generations later, Zuko, being someone raised with both philosophies of Peace (Ursa & Iroh) and Violence (Ozai & Azula) and being around when the Avatar returned, "destiny" in that sense means that the setting was already most favorable for him to realize the errors of his and his nation's ways and set out to help restore balance to the world. All that was needed for this to happen the way it did was that force of will unique to him to keep going and do what's right no matter the challenges. That's the one thing that remained constant through him, despite of how unexpected destiny typically unfolds. It took Zuko this entire journey (until The Western Air Temple episode) to realize that.
"Destiny is a funny thing. You never know how things are going to work out, but if you keep an open mind and an open heart, I promise you will find your own destiny someday." - Uncle Iroh
I’m pretty sure this is not cannon.
@@joshuacollins9316 Even if it was, Zuko would've probably just considered that Guru Pathik was nothing but a crazy old hermit and would've made himself forget that, and the events in the show would've unfolded as exactly the same.
For my part, I still would've preferred for Guru Pathik (who is supposed to be a pinnacle of wisdom) to keep his mouth shut, or at least use a more Iroh-like approach, by that I mean leaving the future ambiguous and therefore encouraging open-mindedness rather than directly predicting him an alliance with the Avatar (like Iroh did in the flashback from The Western Air Temple episode that I quoted earlier). All he did there by claiming this stuff was unnecessarily pissing Zuko off for the week and that's it.
I
That sounds lame, honestly
I really loved the detail of the division Zuko sacrificed everything for being his crew in the live action Netflix series.
Ong just adds more to it
Thank you so much for covering our channel! We are huge fans and we were honored to be featured.
Keep up the great work! You are one of my go-to channels for news and speculation. You’re doing the lord’s work!
The one dislike is Ozai
Yeeee
As someone who's now FINALLY getting himself into reading the Avatar comics/books (starting with The Promise) I look forward to being more involved with discussions on videos like this but I love seeing you explore stuff like this. The nitty gritty details of lore and unexplored lore is great!
Avatar is one of the best examples of world building that exist on this Earth
Can you please direct me to a link where I can get the comics for free?
Don't read Korra comics.
@@LuisSierra42 couldn't agree more
@@emmanueltemitope3586 why?
They should really make a spin-off show about this.
I think that’s what we’re all hoping Avatar Studios does
@@Balrog-tf3bgdon't forget Korra could use a revision
Hey you’re looking at the restoration project! That’s great for them. They’re hard at work and spend a lot of time on the project. Glad you’re helping them!
I think Dulma is Tailis ancestor it would be amazing if this was the case and Taili knows she’s a descendant
Ty Lee 😊
Ty Lee and her 6 sisters. Who knows, maybe one of them is actually an airbender as well 👀
That's unlikely.
What if hanzo and the original last Airbender is the great grandparents of Ty Lee
It might be just grandparents, since the war was already going on for a time.
That "Zuko's Lost Days" was more a tie-in to M.Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender. I remember reading a version of it were Zuko had the same hairstyle as he did in the movie.
So many great stories can be told in this universe. Only the masters of storytelling could tell them.
It would have been really cool if some of the airbenders survived the war. Like, imagine if in a separate scene after the war ended, a young girl comes knocking in the gang's house in Ba Sing Sei and does rudimentary airbending. That would have been a cool alternative to the return of airbending and airbenders in the world. The surviving airbenders could have been hiding somewhere remote, like in the Si Wong desert or some similar place, where they would have hidden their abilities and thus lose a lot of their knowledge and culture. But after the war, someone leaves the settlement to seek out Aang so that he could teach them the old ways, afterwards producing a new airbender culture with new and old influences.
That would mean the Title of the series would be a lie. Aang is The Last Airbender.
@@joesunday199 That's why it's a big if. The early title was the Legend of Aang, and besides, I'm talking about it as if its an integral part of the story, not something that would have been added later on.
No thanks that destroys a chunk of the emotional 8mpact of the airbenders story lines borh in the orig8nal and in kora you destroy two arc sin one making the series worse off in the greater scheme of things
@@demonic_myst4503 I'm going to be honest, I don't really like LOK, and I think the way that they brought back the airbenders was rather unimpressive. The story of her show could have been good, except the part where there could have been an evil avatar, plus there were a lot of other things. Nevertheless, if you enjoyed it and would like to keep the events after ATLA as it is, I respect your opinion.
@@joesunday199 Well, the title _is_ a lie as Tenzin trailed Aang. Aang only was the only airbender left up until his son’s birth. Titles don’t have to be accurate. Quite the contrary, some say _Return of the King_ is a bad title _because_ it is accurate - it’s a major spoiler.
Wow, I'm going to check those out now 😊
I'm so happy that these can finally be shown
glad to see avatar content is still around
Wish you'd have mentioned it was a FAN project the first time. Don't get me wrong--It's cool stuff. Yet there will be those who feel they were deceived/had their time wasted whenever that is forgone. I just hate to see content creators throwing away the potential for recurring clickers in the future because they were too focused on the random clicks they could get today. Just something to ponder on. Have a pleasant day, friend.
Only the videos are fan made. The story is canon: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Airbender_Prequel:_Zuko's_Story
Finally this is said. It can be hard as a creator to strategize and make clear wise decisions like saying something is actually fanmade and not official, and it's so easy to fall victim to the idea of luring people in.
But as hard as it is, it's important to be honest and nice to your viewers.
This is cool literally just found these people the other day now ur talking bout it lol. Nice
I mean, one of the few things they did really well in the Live Action.
In my head canon, Ty Lee is a descendant of an air bender.
The Avarist your amazing love your videos
Ty Lee as an Airbender would be terrifying.
Finnally i have book 4
I am a huge fan of avatar
I don’t get why Katara thinks her mothers loss is the saddest the thing out of all of their losses (maybe to her it is) because Zuko got banished by his father and burned, Sokka had the same mother, and Aang lost his own kind which means he lost all of his relatives along with his parents.
Right? She pissed me off because of this, especially how she acted in the Southern Raiders. One of the worst parts of her character is that she puts her feelings above everyone elses' when she's upset, angry or irritated. Like when she was tired in the chase, she pokes at Toph's blindness for not being able to see the stars. All because she didn't like Toph right away.
Because she didnt just lose her mother, you must forget she lost most of her kind as well, which is why the south pole has such low numbers, all the water benders were killed off in the south pole
Its her loss specifically as well, its hard to understand a genocide from 100 years ago, so the airbenders are thought to be extinct..
Lets try to remember those things
Oh and her father was never there
@@solunaescutcheon5428 First of all, not all of her tribe was wiped out like Aang’s ENTIRE culture. Second of all, her father only left AFTER Kya died. And Hakoda at least treats his kids well, unlike Ozai.
Comparing Katara’s pain is a losing contest and that’s the problem. She uses that to act like she’s the one suffering the most when she’s not. Also they throw around the mother card so much in the show where it gets to a tiring point where she sounds like a whining brat.
I wouldnt be surprised that katara, deep down, knew it was kinda her fault that her mother died. She is the last waterbender. Its traumatic for her. She was their just a few seconds ago. If she was faster, maybe her father would be able to safe her mother. In the eyes of a kid. In case of soka, he isnt a waterbender. At a later age, katara probably thought, why are they here? We dont have any waterbenders anymore. Did they come for me? And later in the serie she learns it is her fault in a way. Also dont forget she was a lot younger than aang and zuko. She was just 4 or 5 year's old and aang and zuko around 12 (maybe older in zukos case). Stil terrible young, but because of their opbringing they learned more about the world and are able to find a way to deal with it eventually. Katara was still haunted during the serie, more than 10 years later. She never had a childhood after her mothers death.
Hearing the name Hanzo reminded me of Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, whose real name is Hanzo Hasashi.
Make more of these videos
nice bro
Where is the old ending outro😢
Didn’t you already cover this story (but Then from the movie)
Wait if Hanzo and Doma had children there could still be airbenders by Aangs time, maybe hidden away
Its unlikely they produced any air benders, they'd have no reason to hide once Ozai was defeated and Aang wanted to rebuild the Air Nation. Its possible though that non bending descendants might have gained air bending in Korras time though.
@@chsparkle I think they died before aang was unfrozen
@@kittiesandbotsgemini9892 Let’s do the math and say both Hanzo and Dulma are 20-25 y-ears old in ~5 AG when they met. Their children could be born between 5-20 AG, their grandchildren 25-90 AG (the high upper bound is because fathers can be quite old), their youngest great-grandchildren from 45 AG onward. Katara, who’s about the same age as Ty Lee, is born in 85 AG. So, Ty Lee could be Hanzo and Dulma’s granddaughter (if we assume Dulma is 20 years old in 5 AG and has Ty Lee’s father rather late at the age of 35 in 20 AG who fathered Ty Lee at the age of 62 in 82 AG) or (more likely) their great-granddaughter. If we assume Dulma was 20 years old, in 82 AG, she’d be 97 if she lived. In 100 AG, she’d have to be 115. Bumi maybe and Guru Pathik definitely lived to that age, so technically, it’s possible.
What
PLZZZ tell me if all of these comics are canon. I really really hope they are.
First one is canon to the movie, second is made up.
@@TheAangGangcanon to what movie? I dont think the first one is canon either
@@a4rules2 That is in reference to the live action movie. The comic was originally developed to tie-in with that movie but used plot points planned for the original show. Zuko and Iroh looked more like their movie counterparts, and the Book 4 Channel redid them to look like the cartoon, and then adapted the whole comic.
Hey what if someone does a re do of presidents play but its avatars like roku and stuff only avatars thay would be cool
Its post korra so its new added lore
I thought the first one about Zuko was a fan made comic.

Is the Monk Doma comic canon?
Hold Up WHAT ?! IS THE STORY OF DULMA CANON ?! 😧
It is not. The Book 4 team has plenty of plans for some original fan content and that was one of them.
It's plausible and seems to fit in the canon's themes. Nothing in the canon material condradicts anything this story is offering us yet (at least that I know of).
I liked the promise and search ,and some of the other after series comics, but the magic system kinda got messed up. Now I wish they would stop with the prequel shit
Can you buy these anywhere
Black market in Kuwait. Ask for Jamir.
Before entering his tent MAKE SURE you're holding a white rose in your hand. Otherwise you'll never leave that tent. Remember he only takes cash.
You can buy it there. Other things too. Just don't eat brownies if he propose them to you. Just trust me, you don't want them...
I want to see a crossover between Final Fantasy: 16 and Avatar. 🤩
Then why is the movie called avatar the last air bender instead of two last Airbender? 5:29
Is this a serious question?
Because Dulma is most definitely dead after all this time, if someone other than Hanzo ever even found out anyway. Aaand it's not even important considering what the whole story is really about in my opinion.
What happens when a lunar eclipse happens
Book 1 answered your question during the finale
@@darklordxerinic That wasn't a Lunar Eclipse. That was the Moon injured/dying.
are these official comics?
No
is this canon?
So this is all canon?
i would assume not it says in his description “fan projects”
The Zuko story is questionably canon. It was written and published as a tie-in for the movie that doesn't exist (and Book 4's art team went to great lengths to edit all the character designs to match the cartoon), but the original authors worked on the cartoon and some of the story points came from material that didn't make it into the show.
The Hanzo and Dulma story is 100% fan-made.
@@JamesAReilly what movie?
