Looks like an LT with cloth. It has carpet and a center console, so it is not a work truck interior. Typical of Chevy for the center console to tear. Average though, for the 5.3 is about 215k without problem. After that, there are a few things to worry about such as evap and chasing vacuum leaks, valve covers seeping, interior things such as switches and if there is a power rear sliding glass, it will break, and models after 2008 seem to have rust issue on the frame and rockers due to a change in frame coating due to environmental issues. That being said, I have 300k on my 07 and still climbing without the engine or tranny being taken apart. The only major money spent on it was the front end needing to be redone at 215k. Any ford that I have seen with more than 150k plus runs 10X worse than mine. I’ve seen plenty in my 6 yrs of selling used cars. Not hating, just seeing the difference in the top three brands first hand over a period of time will always push me towards GM.

That lasted about 2000 mile and the light came on again. This time they said the engine was done. {Different Chevy dealer}. They could'nt explain why. Said it was a bad design and it happens. No credit for the initial fuel pump {$1200} and $8600 for a replacement crate motor. I went to an independent guy to do the work and the dealer had the nerve to try and undercut the price of the independent guy. It was a total F-you from my perspective. 4L60E is a very reliable transmission. One of the cheapest to rebuild. I have to disagree on not being reliable comments. Love these trucks. I have had 4 and all were good. Driving a new looking 2007 today. Zero rust on the body and a tiny amount on the frame which I have cleaned and coated. 4.8 running like a charm. Everything in the North East rust. I'm in NC. My dad had a 1995 model and the transmission was rebuilt a 100K but the 350 engine has 300K today and still running.

2010 f-150 5.4L with 213,000 miles. Has cracked exhaust manifold, rear cab corners are rusted out, and the truck always thinks my rear doors are open and warns me every time I start it up. Otherwise been very happy with it. Drives smooth, shifts nice, steering is tight. I tow my bobcat a few times a year and my fishing boat pretty often. Tranny shifts well. My favorite part is it doesn't have the push button or knob switch 4x4. An actual shift lever like the mid 90s trucks had. That drew me to it right away. What I really dislike is the instrument cluster it doesn't have a battery voltage guage or oil pressure guage. Just the idiot lights. Why were some made like that?

Also watch out for the motor mounts because they are notorious for needing to be replaced after time on these trucks. I'm a GM guy but honestly I like all the full size trucks on the market and all should be fairly reliable. I'd personally buy the chevy but that's just because I'm a chevy guy. Go test drive them all and pick the one that you like the best. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

Ford and chevy make the best trucks by far, but ford is much more popular, so if your looking for a used truck, id go chevy because the resale is lower on chevy, but they are both just about the same, the new models havnt been tested much on reliability since they are both new, but buying new is crazy more expensive

TopLineRacer is do my research just like you’re doing by watching reviews on here but my personal experience with Ford is that their transmissions give out and 4x4 doesn’t always engage...again just my experiences...I love driving my Silverado for the past 4 years and honestly whenever I get to drive my parents 2015 ram, it’s a treat but it had transmission problems with only having 35000 miles on it

I've got you beat! 230,000 miles on my 2010 that is an exact twin of your truck, except mine is an LT with tan leather and 20" chrome wheels. It's been a very dependable truck. Only real breakdown was a right front wheel bearing. It went from "what's that noise?" to "Holy crap I hope I make it to the shop before the wheel falls off!" in one day. Shocks replaced with KYB and also replaced tie rod ends and anti-sway bar bushing. Rear diff had a slight leak so that took a new seal for $600! Everything still works but driver side switch paned is replaced and pass side needs a switch ...it'll go down but not back up. I plan on driving it until one of us croaks.

Even the previous generations, from '99-'02 and the cat eye '03-'06 were good. I may have those years wrong, but anyway. Our work truck is an '02 Suburban with 327k miles and still going, and that's entirely city type miles, going from job to job in and around town. My personal truck is an '05 that I bought new, and still drive, with 160k miles on it, and it has the old cast iron 4.3 V6 with a five speed manual. I keep it clean and maintained and it still looks nearly new. I may not live long enough to ever need another truck. I'm in west Texas so I've never seen a rusted truck in person, only in videos.

Also I don't know why everyone cries "CHEAP" on this interior -- IMO the interiors in the 99-06's (and 95-98's for that matter) were really cheesy with shiny plastics and lots of wide panel gaps.
