👍👍👍👍👍👍
Oh very interesting video this week with a lot going on on the farm certainly could do with some rain the plots, were very interesting to see Great to see the new sprayer. Nearly finished. Keep up the great content, Andrew. 👏💯👌👍
Thanks Chris. Sprayer will be at all the shows so I don’t think we’ll see it until mid July.
Thaks for the very interesting video especially about the black Grass 😉
My broad beans are full of black fly. I have sprayed with soapy water, hope that will get rid of them.
New sprayer looks fantastic.looking forward to seeing it at work.
Lovely Sunday update
Been a bad black grass year here too
Nice weekly update Andrew, like the new sprayer cab, looks like househam are using the claas cab now then, finger's crossed for a drop or two of rain
They are, looks a good working environment.
great video andrew
Good afternoon Andrew a lots of information for farmers like 👍
Hello Nigel. 👍😊
My 1st job leaving school was farm 🚜 contracting then went on to land drainage and be came a plant operator all got hgv class one still ... 70 September still driving from time to time Andrew ..... even country file was interesting to night 🌙 + watching olly blogs you tube take Andrew catch up next video 📹
👍😊
Thanks Andrew another very informative video, hope you get some steady rain soon.
Black grass just shows how seeds germinate many years after fields have been clean Yes nice shower of rain be very helpful but not until Tuesday please got hay to get baled Sugar beet look very late and foresee maybe difficult harvest if it comes wet time with the knock on effects to next year’s crops
We’ve had 8 years with no blackgrass seeding! I can see the beet is going to be difficult to decide when to lift.
I see you didn't get to the Royal Cornwall show this year Andrew, I wanted to go but I was due to go to Spain where I am now for a break first in four years to my home here.
On my route on the A30 in Devon I found the combine challenge and Olly and his team Olly and his team was lovely.😊
I didn’t go this year, just too much on.
Didn’t realise Househam use a claas cab. Interesting the trails
It’s good isn’t it?!!
Beans are looking good. I've seen lots of cleavers this year compared with other years, has it been a problem for you too?
We always seem to get a lot, in nearly every crop.
I see the black nail varnish !!!!! 🙃on the thumb is starting to look a bot scruffy. Is it time to bash it again ? Hopefully it does not hurt anymore. Regular progress reports following its progress would be interesting for all of us who have not yet or are about to bash our fingers this busy season.
🤣🤣🤣
I’ll show it in detail this Sunday!
Great video as always! This week I’ve been looking at different options for nozzles on the sprayer, are you using the Hypro 3D nozzle there? Just wondering how you get on with them If so, really enjoy the videos! Thanks
We have been using them, they’re good for fine coverage but doesn’t like wind!
Hi Andrew. Do you think that there is more blackgrass this year because it has grown up through the cracks from underneath the soil after last years dry weather?
Not really sure why, could be and also the weather in the autumn plays a big part apparently. It can lay in the soil and not germinate so it’s not killed with glyphosate or the pre ems and so comes up the following spring.
Why do you think there is so much black grass around this year Andrew.lots around here in suffolk
Some years always are, don’t know why, must be to do with the weather and when it germinates
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard thanks Andrew
Hi Andrew, with your test plots how do you harvest them with them being so narrow compared to a header? I assumed you'd compare the yeild to each variety/treatment or is it just about how it performs during growing?
Agrii have a narrow combine designed for harvesting plots. It’s tiny with all sorts of tech but is nearly £200k!! Look at update 77 from last harvest. I’ll be highlighting it this harvest too.
I think someone needs to invent a drone that can remove the black grass heads and drop them off field in a solar furnace to prevent any seed dispersal. Such a waste destroying the crop with chemicals.
Andrew, is the reg plate on the Houseman just for display purposes?
Yes!!
