    Makes me chuckle when you see arrow straight drills and a wobbly spray off for the foot paths. A more natural way to walk, there are never straight paths in pasture fields left by cattle or sheep. 😂

    You've had a very busy week Andrew, you had better go back to the Algarve for a rest before the combine starts rolling! Thanks for the waffles & reassurance over Roundup in UK

    Simba machinery was fantastically made, one thing I’ve never understood, maybe your simba man can explain the theory behind discs in front of legs, in my mind, legs, discs, packer, discs makes more sense but that’s just me. 😀🤙

    • @SpudSlingsby
      @SpudSlingsby Год назад

      We have a Simba SL (and a TL) and find the initial disturbance from the front row of discs vastly reduces the amount of clods brought up by the legs.

    • @roberthiggins6401
      @roberthiggins6401 Год назад

      Front row of discs reduce trash blockages too if there's long flat straw the combine couldn't get or any other rubbish like bare bine.

      As others have said, we find the legs after discs causes less surface disturbance but it will depend on soil type, light land legs first would be ok.

    On your worn disc's, is it possible to change complete row of disc's at the front with the not so worn on the rear? Wearing all the disc's out at same time.

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  Год назад

      Possible or put a new set on the front and then when they are worn, the back will be too.

    Is there possibility of Black grass in your field margins and the seed from them ingressing in to the field?

      Sometimes but that’s why we round up off a narrow strip around each field.

    I landscape from a farming back ground, most customers ask what im using the knapsack, glyphosate is my reply, next question is always isnt it banned! The general public are very ill informed!
