I was a huge, HUGE, fan of the Casio A168 until this A700 came out. Look at that 6mm thickness, or should I say thin-ness. It's so comfortable you truly forget it's on your wrist. Most people say this watch has a resin crystal but I'm not quite sure about that. I have a few minor scratches on the case of my watch but not a ding on the crystal. Who knows, maybe I've just been lucky and I don't know how to test if it is indeed resin or mineral. I never thought about it until I watched this video but the nato straps shown in this video look really good which is something I don't think you can pull off on most casio digital watches. It's became my new favorite and I was very excited to see your review of this excellent watch.
At some point Casio has GOT to finally see some value in offering a line of metal non G digital watches, they have SO many good modules just waiting for some respect.
@@johnjones928 i honestly think if they did a range of solid steel cases digital watches with glass crystals around what the A100 costs they'd do really well. As you said it's not much of a looker, loads of way better looking vintage Casios they could take inspiration from
Question for Gedmis - how to realistically assess the quality of a watch mechanism (qvarz, mechanics) - manufacturer's advertisement, user's recommendation - are there any real tests for that, thanks......??
Mainly I check the public opinion on the forums. Also my own experience. Also you can check the accuracy of automatic/mechanical watches using special devices or apps (for example "Watch accuracy meter")

@@GedmisLaguna I know, and that's the main thing that's kept me from buying a silver Casio digital, give it a stainless case and i'm there.
@@johnjones928 A1000 has a metal case and the special editions have sapphire crystal. Bit expensive unfortunately
