Did you swap out the original rear diff from the 6 cylinder or is it strong enough?
Which gas pedal are you using with this swap?
What ecu is used to keep the dash working
How much torque?
Just one question. How much weight is there between the stock 6 and LS conversion and the weight bias? Sorry engineer first gear-head second with a love of power to weight ratio.
I have been thinking of this engine swap for a while and I like to do my homework before I commit and remove a thick wad of cash out of my pocket.🙂
Probably feels better because it’s designed for a v8 anyways
Check out this video ... ruclips.net/video/eWxINKZj0a0/видео.html at about 5:45, she puts an LS3 (aluminum block) with a GM 6 speed on the scale compared to BMW running gear and the LS is only 15lbs heavier than the BMW stuff!!!
OHV vs DOHC engine, no VANOS, aluminum block and head...you can do an LS swap (with an aluminum block) into anything and it'll be close to the stock weight of whatever engine you take out.

what do you mean, "It's got the steering rack set up?" do the 525is have a different steering rack than the v8?
V8 doesn't have a rack only 6 cyl e39s came with rack and pinion

What diff u running and gearbox
Hi mate the diff is I believe a R200 Nissan lsd diff with fresh 3.69 gears and gearbox tr6060 6 speed
will the kit work with the 540 (v8) e39 ?

How did make the dash work if you don't mind me asking. I've done a ls swap in 2001 but don't know how to get the dash working
