You've gotta hear the band Nemophila! Another female Japanese band. These kids bring it! The tune 'Monsters" is a great tune showcasing their talents. Outstanding song writing, killer vocals, great musicians, the drummer is a beast. Animal would love her

The guy in the back really gets it. Language it doesn't matter that much but you can appreciate the talent, music writing and band essence.
Regarding the language, imagine how the world sees english speaking bands, they also barely understand it and just appreciate the music.
I heard some really old Russians who grew up in the Soviet Union talking about discovering the Beatles. They had bootleg copies on tape. It was decades before they could find out what the lyrics were about. Funny thing was, when the Beatles first played Moscow they were shocked the crowd knew all the lyrics! They did, but didn't have a clue what they meant Lol! These guys and gals didn't need to understand the language to get the music!
@@Davey-Boyd The American and European audiences sing along in Japanese for Band Maid and Babymetal. Both in interviews said how they were surprised and how much they enjoyed it!!

Misa never short changes you in any song but then nobody in this band does. For me Misa is at her best in the slow songs when she is as groovy as hell.

In case you have not noticed it by now this group of extremely talented musicians is also one of the happiest. When is the last time you've seen a group playing that is laughing and smiling as much as they do.

One thing about the Japanese bands, you don't see any macho BS, their lyrics are generally philosophical; nonetheless, the choruses usually have a touch of J Pop. You may have noticed, there aren't many juvenile love songs. They are considered intellectually the lowest level of song writing
"Freedom" is one of their favorite songs to play in concert. They played it at most if not all their "servings" during their U.S. tour last October.

What I find most impressive is that for the last few years........they write and arrange their own music and lyrics.
They actually write their music (and lyrics) since late 2016 😉

Paulina, drummer of The Warning, has been writing The Warning band's songs since she was about 13 yrs old. Matter of fact, she wrote "Black Holes" then a few years later, band-aid-made recorded a song called Black Hole. Wtf?
Honestly, music is a very subjective art form, not every one likes the same styles of music. Personally speaking just for myself, there is no comparison between the two bands. Their styles of music are totally different.
I'm really enjoying your journey and reactons to Band-Maid. It is a pleasure to watch your honesty to these 5 young ladies. I went to their show in Phoenix Az in Oct. last year and it was awesome. You all are great. 🤘✌

G'day Souls, since you're also following The Warning, a note to let you know that the Maids have met the girls from The Warning at a festival in the US last year - the brief footage shown on YTube. It was "suggested" to people close to the Maids that a co-headline tour might be a good idea! No promises... both bands easily hold their own, but one hell of a concept.

Misa the bassist began playing piano at 3, guitar, trumpet, trombone, drums, and bass All of the girls play piano, horns, ect.. Talent on loan from God.

I hope *BAND-MAID* would replace some of their streaming videos with shows from Tokyo Garden or Eggman nothing is better then seeing them in a live setting and when they are the happiest interacting with the crowd.

Love these Ladies, great musicians, Saike has perfect pitch, doesn't bother me I don't speak Japanese the joy they show and give me make up the difference.
When Kanami, Miku's guitar Sensei, sat next to Miku while she had her vocal solo, it was because Miku flubbed the lyrics in a previous show and Kanami was making sure she didn't do it again........no pressure, right?
I claim this as MISA's 4min bass solo, she KILLS it here. Maybe that's why she's named the "Barefoot Assassin"

Great reaction. One thing that may be helpful for you: Some of their videos were released with English subtitles (built-in), others may require you to turn on RUclips's subtitles. I believe many of their videos can be seen with English one way or the other. 🙂👍

One caution about using a machine translator - Japanese is a context-driven language and so Japanese to English is very difficult. Especially when used with lyrics that may include words and allusions for poetic effect, a machine translation might be a little "hallucinogenic". It can be fun, but confusing.

Everything about this band is so incredibly awesome it's unbelievable. They have it all.
I would suggest the double header "manners, blackhole" live as a break in to their newer heavier sound. The first one is boomer friendly - the second requires a race homolgated seat belt.

Lot of their songs have close caption available. It's just like KISS but better looking without makeup and happier. They definitely are a harder rocking band than the warning.

Nonetheless, traditionally, kids begin piano at 3 or 4, a lot of the world class classical musicians (Miyako) began their careers at 3 years old.
Band-Maid truly doedsn't have a song I don't like! From their softest to hardest. So keep going with them! You make it, I'll watch it lol! Also, I think you guys would really like Glim Spanky. Not an all female band but the fantastic female singer Remi. She's been called the Japanese Janis Joplin. She has a great gritty voice. They are are more like a classic rock/Alternative band. Every non English speaking music fan has never complained about English lyrics since 1950. They dug the music and got down. They couldn't even look the lyrics up in those days. They listened, danced, formed bands, got groovy. Westerners about Japanese people singing in Japanese... I'm sure you and I can recognise great music without understanding the language.
