I recently switched from a Pixel 6 Pro to the S23 base model. I would say this phone is what I have been looking for ages. A perfect balance between size, performance, looks and battery life. Only thing it isn't great at is camera like you mentioned. But still acceptable. I carry my pixel along with me when on a trip though.

@@athul119 The zoom quality is bad. Plus Samsung's post processing is not there yet with Pixel. Also it takes more time to process. Colours aren't accurate. It makes Sky look green, like teal. Selfie camera is not as wide as a Pixel. Plus the dynamic range is very bad but the Pixels selfie camera is bad at colours but preserves details. Samsung's cameras are mediocre in S23 base but really good on the Ultra models. Also night mode is great on Pixel, videos are better on Samsung but slightly.

Been using the S23 for 4 months and at first, especially when seeing it in hand at the store in comparison to my OnePlus 8 the phone was genuinely SMALL. I thought hmm maybe the viewing experience wont be as good or I'd miss out on content but after getting used to the phone after like 3 days i would easily say this is the perfect size for a phone and its literally ALL DISPLAY in the front. I've been so happy with everything in this phone except for the selfie camera performance in low light, but one compromise in return for a direct upgrade over everything else was something easy to forgive. Plus the phone gets stupid bright so if you put the phone at Max brightness and use the display as a "flashlight" you don't see any problems anyway lol

Hi Rohit, thanks for this amazing video. I have a question would you recommend this phone over Pixel 8 or iPhone 15? I am currently using iPhone 13mini but the battery health has dropped to 81% and the phone hangs ( suddenly heating up) while taking portrait or cinematic videos and I have to kill the camera which leads to missing the shot.
I am looking to upgrade from this, my major requirements are atleast 256gb (currently using 256, as I take lot of pics), bigger battery, and should last atleast for 3-4 years atleast in terms of battery.
Pixel 8 256gb costs more than 80k but doesn't have a telephoto lens and I want to experience this lens since my iPhone XR days.
What would be your recommendation? Can Pixel 8's 2x natural crop be a good enough replacement of 3x o. samsung? I am not inclined towards iPhone 15, as it uses 14 pro's chip which used to heat up a lot and doesn't have even 90hz refresh at this price.
Can you please do a comparison between iphone, s23 and pixel 8 and also suggest if s23+ is better option in terms of battery so that it can atleast last for 3-4years.
    Thanks again.

Hi Rohit, I have been using S23 since past 4months, I have extensively used the camera photo and video in extreme conditions and I'm quite happy with all the outputs including audio clarity.
Secondly about battery life - one thing I'll suggest, use the power saver mode, it definitely extends the battery life by way longer than you would expect and there's no compromise on performance.
As for now, the phone didn't had any errors or heating issues as such and definitely it's a great device to buy own and experience. Great to see, there hasn't been any sudden price drop yet on S23.

Thank you for talking about this poor camera setup. Samsung should focus more on their cameras i alz say that.but paid reviewers never say anything on this topic. Samsung uses smaller sensor and it has no extra engines for photography that you will find in iPhone, Pixel, Xiaomi and Oppo...So people should stop eulogizing it.The camera quality is too poor to pay a huge money for this phone.

No disrespect for Pixel but s23 is not far too behind even in camera.. have used both 7 and s23 and i must say things boil down to personal preferences... every camera has its hit or miss moment... where Pixel can't stand a chance is it's horrible portrait mode...s23 has got some redeeming features such as better battery life, less heating, throttling, superior network reception the lack of which might be deal breaker for someone...if camera is where pixel shines ( albeit by a small margin) , S23 makes up for it in terms of everything else

It was a huge thing for a media centric people who don't like to keep their files in cloud or anywhere. Many don't have other devices to keep things backed up or so. In these cases it's a great thing to have.
