Edit: The flat panel is why I chose the S10e when it released…and the matte finish on the back of the S23 should make it less of a fingerprint magnet, which will be really nice too.

Hi, I currently have an S7 which is really tired ^^ I was wondering, why flat panels make a difference? I've never had a curved screen, and I'm hesitating between an Oppo Find X3 Pro/X5, a P30 Pro or an S23 for the next one

    • @neverendinchaos4800
      @neverendinchaos4800 Год назад

@@l.3386 Flat panels make a difference because you don't have to worry about accidentally touching the screen, which is what can happen when your phone has a curved display.
The other reason why flat displays make a difference is because they're usually easier to replace than curved displays...which means they're usually cheaper to repair too.
And the other reason is phone cases/screen protectors. Curved displays can be a pain to find decent cases and screen protectors for because manufacturers have to put more effort in to accommodate the display's curvature into their screen protectors/cases and it can sometimes end up costing more to find a decent case/glass screen protector that will actually protect the display.
Having a flat display saves you all of these little problems. I've even noticed that Samsung themselves has reduced the curvature of the display on the S23 Ultra compared to the S22 Ultra.
Having a flat display just makes your life easier...but that's my opinion. Ultimately, it's up to you.👍

The zenfone has only 2 years OS updates and 4 years security. For me security is the important one, so only one year less.
Performance is the same (same chip, even with the slight "Galaxy Edition" advantage),
battery life is superior on the Zenfone (every other review hasn't been this positive about the battery life of the S23),
Cameras is subjective (I know I like the photos from Asus more due to MKBHDs blind test last year),
and personally the Zenfone looks a lot nicer and interesting.
The ecosystem of Samsung is a big advantage for them, but that depends on if you want that or not.
The xiaomi isn't even an option on my list since it's more likely to be sending your data to the Chinese government, meaning now both your government and china knows what you're up to ;)
I'll probably be going with the Zenfone since it has slightly faster charging speed, now has wireless charging and looks cooler.

The S23 is a niche product that sells poorly but has a loyal following. The iPhone Mini sold more than this and Apple dumped that as it was not worth making. From the latest sales stats, it is selling poorly, about as bad as the S23+ which is rumoured to maybe discontinued in the next 1-2 years. It is not necessarily because of how good it is, because it is solid, it is because the market has changed. Consumers that want the best will buy the Ultra (Pro on iPhones) and those that do not need the best will get something cheaper, as the S23 at £899 is way too much for what you get versus lower mid-range devices. Apple is seeing the same with their base iPhones.
From my experience, it is the best compact phone out there, although that is feint praise as it has little competition. The Zenfone 10 arriving soon may usurp that though. With sales so poor, and Samsung reducing supply to save having warehouses full of unsold stock as they had with the S22 line, it does mean deals are not as healthy and I could only recommend this with a massive deal.

I would like Samsung to reduce the bloat on at least these flagships. I did do an ADB uninstall. Other than that, this is an all round perfect phone in the ideal size.❤

Switching to Snapdragon only was one of the best things Samsung did. Thank god they dropped the whole Exynos thing.

Yeah it was pointless to have the Exynos. I ordered an S10e back in the day and found out it had Exynos and immediately returned it for the Snapdragon.

Stupid Exynos, they should give it up
