    One UI is the best thing about owning a Samsung phone. I recall when they made the switch and I've grown accustomed to using the various features. Out of necessity, I owned a OnePlus and a Motorola phone last year. I couldn't stand the near stock android experience on either of them. That is also one of the reasons that a Pixel Pro is off the table. I also like the fact that some of the "bloatware" is nice to have when needed. I just ignore what I don't need until it is needed. Also, having the best cpu that is optimized! If you don't want an s pen or a brick, get the s23+. The current discounts and trade ins are making the s23 line irresistible.

    • @alienlatino2945
      @alienlatino2945 8 месяцев назад

      I totally agree with you. I listened to the nerds on the internet about "bloatware" and to get a smartphone that was "pure android stock" and went with a Google phone, what a bore. It was missing lots of good things I thought were "android stock" but in fact were the "bloatware" these nerds were talking about. Same thing happened 15 years ago when I had an HP desktop computer bought from Best Buy, when it went kaputz I listened to nerds on the internet to buy a "built" system from a gaming computer builder using parts bought off the internet. I then found out it was missing Office, Corel 7, a photo editing program, and even a CD-writing program that my HP had, this was the bloatware these nerds were talking about. I will never buy a product that doesn't have these things, either desktops or smartphones. This is why I stay away from all those independent "stock" android phones.

      I use a fold4. Its 263g, but narrow when folded and thus really handy and doesn't feel heavy. Unfolded, you use it with 2 hands, but even with one hand its not heavy. I cam from 230g S21 Ultra and don't notice it at all. There are lighter and nice looking foldables like oneplus open, xiaomi fold (dont know the versions rn), pixel fold, oppo n2 etc, and Samsung front screen is not a full fledged front screen, but the Samsung UI for foldables is THE best hands down. Also, I think the inner screen is nicer than most. Actually, the innecr plastic screen looks nicer than my S21 Ultra screen, and that says a lot. I have noticed the inner camera maybe once in a week of use - its hidden perfectly and the crease from folding is barely noticeable if at all. and when I notice it, its nice actually and not ugly or anything. But I know for a fact the fold6 will dominate all the new foldables, cause from internal leaks, the front screen is basically a smaller s23 ultra screen and the hinge is gapless + crease is lower than on the oneplus open. But well see in 2024
      Fold5 is basically fold4 with new hinge, different cpu and increased max brightness. I could have bought that, but it was 600$ more here, so....Im stoked for the fold6 and s24 ultra.

      My advice is don't switch to pixel. I had a 6 Pro since March 2022, but a couple of weeks ago, I gave up and bought an S23U. The pixel would constantly overheat, charging was so slow because of thermal issues and throttling, sometimes taking 4+ hours to charge. It always lagged, never had any signal and using the camera for more than a couple of mins overheated it. The software was buggy and barren in features. I tried to like it for 18 months, but I just couldn't use it anymore.
      I'd never buy another pixel after that terrible experience unless I wanted an overexpensive handwarmer. And to top it off, I live in the UK, not death Valley. It really isn't that hot here.

    The problem with the 10X it has a slow lens and a very small sensor (smaller than the other 3 cameras). So its not good for moving subjects like the composer. Shutter speed has to be slowed down considerably in order to get a good exposure but as a result you can't freeze motion and motion blur occurs.

    • @TwskiTV
      @TwskiTV Месяц назад

      It's actually the same sensor as the 3x (IMX754). Main difference is the lens apperture (longer focal length needs a way bigger lens diameter to equal the same f-stop). The 3x is f/2.4 and the 10x is f/4.9

    I have been a Galaxy/Samsung guy since 2012, and I want to upgrade from a Samsung A71. I have thought of going back to Apple and get the iPhone 15 but then I remember that I have 5 samsung smartags tracking my vehicles and my kids and don't want to buy 5 apple airtags to replace them, especially when Apple notifies thieves that you are tracking them. So I think I will go for this phone, the S23. The 5,000 amh battery is a big attraction for me, and so it's the largeness but I wish it was also wider and more like the iPhone Pro 14 Max. Samsung "big" phones feel like a brick, too rectangular. The "downsides" about not buying this phone in this video are null to me, not very important. I think I'm going to take the plunge.

    Have the Burgundy S22 Ultra and the Black Pixel 7 Pro. Absolutely love the Pixel. Is the most beautiful phone in the market after years. The UI, features, tricks and the Camera are just mind blowing.
    Although I feel the S22 Ultra's screen is WAY better than the 7 Pro's. Burgundy is love. And yes, you do start using the S-Pen. And the reason I use it is the same as yours. Also, when people randomly start telling me stuff that I feel is worthy enough to be noted down, I found myself quickly scribbling with the S-Pen rather than unlocking the phone, finding and opening a Note app, creating a new Note and then typing it. Way more intuitive and practical to get the Pen out and just scribble that phone number/ restaurant/ cafe's name etc xD.
    My only wish is that the Control Center gets revamped, and that there is an App Library/ Drawer that has all the apps.

      @@Femmink Whatever you've heard is spot on.
      The S22 Ultra wasn't the Phone of the Year 2022 for no reason.
      It annihilates the Pixel in almost every aspect imaginable.
      The 45 Watts Super Fast Charging does a decent job at quickly sprucing up the already big and efficient battery. Pixel's charging is definitely slow.
      I've never faced any heating issues with both of my phones, but I'm just a normal user.
      Though the Pixel occasionally gets warm. Not just whilst video recording, but once after I watched a lot of 4K vids on YT, I immediately noticed the warming.

    just a thought, as a fanatic + fidèle user of SamSam, I never experience this issue from bloatware for quite a while. Massive respect for talking about PWM, OneUI aesthetics and bloatware. So many reviews skip over these aspects of Samsung phone ownership probably coz they must keep samsung PR happy by not being overly critical or subjective. Even though I've bought more Samsung flagship phones than iPhones and Pixels, i still find the Samsung UI to be aesthetically inferior even if functionally (debatable as bloatware comes into the picture) superior to iOS and Pixel UI. Samsung makes excellent hardware, but their software is still not as polished and refined. And yes i too feel they let out their software for third party service providers like McAfee, Hiya, Foursquare etc. We are paying top money for these phones which are no better than Xiaomi phones that have similar levels of bloat and adware but are atleast subsidised in terms of price.

    Bixby isn't bad. It can access samsung-specific apps which Assistant can't. You can tell Bixby to turn AOD on/off for example.
    It also can read all of my calendars (via Samsung Calendar) while Assistant can't.

    I got the S23 Ultra only because I didn't have to pay for it. If I had to pay, I probably would have gotten the S23+ of maybe even one of the Samsung midrange phones.
    Between the big battery, a screen that is more efficient than the S23+, and a very efficient processor, I am super happy with the battery life.
    The pen is nice when I use it, which is rarely.
    I could care less about processing power. I run the processor in light mode to get even more battery life.
    If I had to pay for it, it would not be worth it. Since I have a peculiar cell phone plan, I love having this thing.

    I'm actually gonna take a chance and go with the Nothing Phone 2 instead. While Samsung may have the best hardware and camera, me particularly not a big camera person and heavily prefers a great minimal close to stock software experience find the Nothing offering to be more enticing. Plus the design of it is just more unique to me.

      Nothing is top tier midrange, while s23u is flagship...
      Stock means losing all of the productivity features that the device was intended to be for it's intended users. It's all about basic.
      Me, i prefer flagship with flagship features and flagship processor from a reputable brand. It will leave me at peace for years.

    I finally paid off my iPhone 14 pro max and am really tempted to return to Samsung. Like others have said, the iPhone just feels so limited for such a high price these days. I especially hated the fact that during the covid pandemic highs, Apple never bothered to implement a finger print reader. Apple knew how helpful it could have been but refused to implement it. Apple will defend its position of course but android has done it for years.

    • @toast206YT
      @toast206YT 9 месяцев назад

      @@timohypponen4272I was 14 pro max owner than decided to make the switch didn't like the direction iOS was going. I'll keep it real with you, if you want all the bells and whistles with the spen while getting a complete package get the ultra but be sure to get the 512gb version, 512gb and 1tb only supports the 12gb ram. If that isn't a factor and your not a heavy multi tasker than settle for the 256gb. Keep in mind since the screen is curved screen protectors are a hit miss, cases don't sweat there's plenty of options. Be aware though the phone is huge and it will take some time to get used to. If your not a fan of the curve screens settle for the S23+ since it has a bigger battery than the S23 and both are smaller in size compared to the ultra, (besides the ultra, ultra is 5000 mah compared to 4300 mah) however the drawback to it is you won't be getting the qhd display, cameras are alright, charging speeds are a little slower and no spen. If none of that to you is a factor me personally again go for the 512gb if they are offering a deal slap that bad boy in qhd mode in the display setting and leave it. Your battery is gonna suck for 2 weeks and it may seem like it's a dooky purchase, please give it time the battery is learning you and your usage it will get better All Android phones do it, The snapdragon gen 2 is a fantastic chip. I know it's a long post but I want people to settle what they feel they need and save money.
      Ultra: if you want to go all out
      S23+ & S23: You don't need the huge phone but want something compact , powerful, save ya some pennies. All 3 will serve you well

    I bought a Samsung Galaxy S22+ in Feb for $600.
    The new S23+ didn't seem to be much better for the price (~$900).
    The 10x telephoto on the Ultra seemed great, but I didn't want to spend ~$1200 for it.
    Originally wanted to get a Google Pixel, but iirc, there were too many reports of unreliable data/wifi/bluetooth ☹ it seemed to be a hit or miss problem with some. And since then, the prices have dropped significantly.

    I had a iphone 13 pro since launch. That was replaced once because of loss. That's still going strong. However i have recently moved back over to android because i dont like how locked down apple feels. I personally think iphones are more durable and hold more resale value, i am on my 3rd s23 ultra in 2 months because of a smashed screen. It may be the bigger size that the screen isn't as strong but i am normally careful with my phones and sometimes a drop is inevitable and ive always had cases and screen protectors on. I wont be going back to iphone as i want more freedom in terms of software and android ties in better for my homelab zero subscription cost plan. (Just an honest opinion of a user of iphone for the past few years) . Not sure if I'll be staying with samsung though or moving on to another android.
