Doesn't seem to be a problem on the electric model. Must not vibrate enough.

Noticed the same issue with my 1165v was planning to do the same with flat stock on log lift. May look into some dampners to see if it helps at all. Great machine just needs some finess. Dog is to funny how it waits for wood scraps lol. 👍

Don't know what you been using but you are sure to enjoy this new model, got mine around a week ago, (maybe 2, time goes so fast now and can't keep track). Have only used mine 15 min, or so ----so far but have been working on a few mods to make it my machine

Awesome Robert! You'll love it. They have their own version of knee control now. Not sure how that will affect pricing

Not an issue just for the 1165V i got a 2265 and the same issue with my log lift when i use it for a log table, log fall because of the vibration. They should put the engine on rubber puck or put anti slip tape on each end of the log lifter or our idea with the flat bar.

Hey Derek awesome upgrade I was thinking of welding some rebar or threaded rod. I also have the blocks slide off the back end as well if it’s not level. I am also considering putting something on the end of the lift to keep blocks from rolling off before you lift it. Nice job 👍 I do like the flat bar idea never thought of that. Did you see the knee lever split fire prototype?
    Take care

@russellbelliveau1694 Hey, thanks, Russ! I did see their version, and it looks pretty good. Glad to see that they went with a mechanical linkage instead of a cable. (That is how they told me they were going to do it) The whole flat bar install only took like 5 minutes. Hopefully, splitfire will just install this type of guide on the new machines.

Ya, saw that problem coming before even using my new splitter! Bought mine bare bones with a Honda. Built my own 18 x24 hanging right side table with raised edges from scrap for 25-30 bucks. (No need for fancy drop table they sell). This is for additional space for split rounds before throwing into loader bucket to move to new stacking area. I don't relay stack, I currently make 8' dia. piles around 5 to 5-1/2' high (approx. 2 full cords) for personal use only!
No lift as the left side hugs a 48x96 table where rounds are placed using my 6" tractor bucket, will then pull them with pickaroon or by hand from table to splitter once I get to using it more! Currently waiting for square tubing to fab. foot control for hands free operation, like your knee and also new side knee design from Split Fire but not offered as of yet and sure it will come in more than 100.00 + but thumbs up to their design.
Vibration seems to be a problem even after only using for a couple hours last week (added some 3/32" EDPM scrap under the steel pads which seem to have helped so far, might finally change them to isolation pads)
Really like the entire idea/build/function of this splitter. We all have our own wants and needs and sure we will all find a way to tweak the 1165v to meet our individual needs.
Enjoy seeing each and every one of your new vids.
    Stay safe and healthy,
    Rick

That's awesome! Good to hear that you have some fab skills yourself! I agree that this machine is cheap enough to not have to worry about changing it by drilling, welding, modifying etc. It's a little workhorse for sure.
