      Coming from someone who owns both phones, I agree that the S23 Ultra is an all around better phone. Although, it is only slightly better in very specific ways. After using both phones, I still prefer the Apple ecosystem over Android. How about we just stop being rude to each other and respect that everyone doesn't like the same thing. Calling everyone a fanboy is definitely not the right move. When you do something like that, it makes you look like a fanboy of the opposite side by trying to attack an entire group of people that doesn't like what you like. Let's just all enjoy the phones we like and be done with the bitter back and forth. It's just childish.

    If you value multi-device autonomy, go with the Samsung. The lack of a physical SIM card slot on US iphones when traveling internationally (esp to Asia) is a huge problem. Plus not being able to switch phones easily (like before when just swapping SIM cards) in case your primary phone is disabled is an issue.

    • @SpaceCadet4Jesus

    While I agree that most people would only use the 100x zoom 0.01% of the time, that's only for actually taking photos. Even then, it's useful for taking photos of the moon or stuff like animals, boats, scenery, etc where it may not be really possible to get closer. It is, however, very useful for reading stuff in the distance or watching a performance/game if you're really far away. Even if you don't use the 100x, there are still all of the magnifications from 25.1x to 100x that you can't get from the iPhone. That's 4x extra zoom from the max zoom of the iPhone which is pretty significant when you want it. Photos from before ~60x are still pretty usable on most things.

    I got the s23 ultra and even my friends who use iphone let me take pictures of them because they told me I have a better camera system. It's the best phone right now and I'm waiting for the s24 ultra. the 8k is actually useful there are scenarios where you have to crop in to the shot it's like having another set of camera that can crop to 4k or 1080 depending on what area you have to zoom in, that's how you use it. And then the 200 mp is very useful for landscape shots, and yes there is the ultra wide but it makes more sense to use the 200mp on landscape why? Because there are so many things in the frame that it's better to have more resolution especially when you crop in. People just don't know how to use their phone properly and call it a gimmick.

    The s23 ultra is way better and with features like the programmable side key and gaming ,samsung has been able to do those things for years as well as USB C. I have the s23 ultra and it's the best phone ive ever used. Also the s23 ultra has dynamic island, multi tasking , edge panel, s pen capabilities when my fingers get tired and emulators w with more games, and 10 x zoom with full clarity etc. However, I just used the 15 pro max today and the camera is impressive and it's very light but still my s23 ultra is more fun to use and also more capabilities and just wait until the z fold 6 ultra is released next year. I was playing Mario Odyssey and Nintendo games which the iPhone simply can't do....
    Also with the iphone It can't really multi task, in screen fingerprint scanner, superior thermal management, use copy and paste clipboard, run emulators for old school games and new games , use s pen stylus functionality with gestures , download anything from anywhere at anytime, use smart view projection nor anything like DEX projection , wireless powershare which comes in handy when you forget charger , similar charging speeds. Also on ios 17 reaching the control center is harder then my old iPhone 6s and you can't really customize the navigation method to shapes like samsung which isn't necessarily for me . For me I'm a samsung guy but I'll say this iphone 15 pro I give the camera clarity props after testing it but Samsung once I experienced those features I can't live without them

    The Samsung can also zoom to fit screen when watching videos to get rid of the black bars on the side ❤

    Every year it gets closer and closer. I have both. Use of these devices comes down to a few simple factors. Where do you live? What devices do your co workers use? And finally, what types of devices do your immediate family and friends use? If it’s iPhone go with that, if it’s Android go with the S23 Ultra. They both are amazing devices. Apples iMessage, visual voicemail with transcription, airdrop, seamless photo and video sharing is hard to beat. For me most of my family uses Apple. I’ve tried to use Android with them but there are just so many things Apple does right to make the day more simpler. The Apple Watch Ultra is the best watch on the market. The S23 Ultra is a beast and I really enjoy watching media, multitasking, engaging with the beautiful non obtrusive display. Excellent zooming cameras and the lovely Spen. I use both but day to day the IPhone is my go to. At the end of the day we use our phone to call and text people and because everyone I engage with uses Apple it works flawlessly.

    I honestly love android over ios ,main reason being I love being able to customize my phone to the maximum level. But the only problem I have with samsung is the resale value and fact that other regions(mine included) takes so long to get software updates even a beta.

      @@triplea6174 it's a tough choice. I wish I could say both. In the beginning I say fold . But as time goes on it's probably s23 ultra. But here's why, the fold is better in my opinion, but the outer screen is used alot more and I hate the fact the aspect ratio is off. To but it better. The fold phones need to have an ultra variant. If they do they are instantly the best ever. The ultra has better battery, camera , and obviously build quality. The phone I am interested in is the fold 6 if Samsung can make it bigger it's gonna be perfect

    I see iPhones as $400 phones & your paying the extra for the Name...
    I have a 13 Pro for my Wife & it's a great basic phone.
    However, it does get extremely hot & still does after the latest update from 1 App, the #1 Word Search App that pops up on the App Store. She just pops it in the freezer when this happens & the App was deleted, so the bug is already in the phone. My 8+ did the same & my friends iPhones do the same, know one speaks about it.
    I also have a S22 Ultra that is a beast & offers so many features that I'm still learning everything it has to offer me in Oct 2023 & I've had it since it's release date.
    It never gets hot or warm, even when charging & my battery in Oct 2023 is still in Great Condition.
    I can go all day (which is really only anyone needs) the 13 Pro still gets 2 days easily.
    2 different platforms & both just work.

    Knowing Apple's fastidiousness about avoiding cannibalization of its own product lineup, I doubt it will introduce anything like DeX to its iPhones or iPads. iPads have been sporting M1 chips for years, yet Apple hasn't crossed the line of delivering a full macOS experience on them. I would argue that the iPhone chips in the Pro line have comparable performance as well. Samsung, on the other hand, doesn't face that roadblock. It gave us a comparable full desktop experience with DeX in 2017.

    What a great point about macOS on an iPhone.
    Apple won’t do it because fewer people would buy other Apple products-and Apple seems to be dominated by accountants these days instead of engineers-but that would be a game changer.

    • @POVwithRC
      @POVwithRC 11 месяцев назад

      I do not really think something like Dex on iPhone would cannibalize Mac sales at all. Not even a full port of MacOS would. Thermal envelope and power envelope too small to make effective use of what people would want to do with desktop OS.
      Not everything is a big spooky sales conspiracy. This the least of all.

    • @citizentex5720
      @citizentex5720 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@POVwithRC I appreciate your comment but for my use case, a desktop-like experience with an iPhone would eliminate at least a couple of Mac sales every couple of years. Surely I’m not the only one.
      My use case being MS OFFICE-type activities, email, and web browsing/research, not games. Dex handles those activities extremely well. I have a Mac mini and a MacBook Pro for those activities now. In an alternative universe, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor hooked up to a hub and my phone would take care of my needs.

    My S23 Ultra arrives today so of course I have been overloading on the review videos for the phone. Caught a great deal during Prime Big Deal days! My algorithm will be mostly tech going forward, which is fine since my other account is used more for music for RUclips Music sake. I found your reviews months ago but didn't subscribe for some unknown reason because I was looking for this review. I am upgrading from the Note 20 (moment of silence for the Note series). I like the side by side reviews but I have found myself giving Apple and its users more grace, as of the last couple of days. I am not so secretly rooting for Samsung to win but I have to agree that it comes down to preference.
    The competition is necessary for innovation to occur, and honestly I see Samsung even more favorably because of this. Apple has no competition in their operating system and they have nearly a 50% market share. Samsung has so many competitors in the Android and they have a significant market share. That shows that they have a significant design advantage to their Android competition. I am not a fan of Apple at all, and will not spend my money with them. I don't like how their avid users think that the ecosystem makes them superior to other phones. I have to stop myself from being lured by convenience and buying Samsung products, but ultimately I like the freedom to connect whatever device I'd like to my phone.
    Thank you for your videos, keep up the great work. Even though you didn't declare a winner, you helped point out features that make me excited to be getting a new phone that I was forced into because of a horrible screen crack. Proud subscriber!
