    It could be the fastest and the easiest super chunky blanket you ever worked.
    Making a crochet blanket usually can take up many days but this one can be worked in just 4 hours. Do you want to fill your booth for a craft fair or make that last-minute baby shower gift? This pattern will be just perfect.
    I used Bernat Baby Blanket yarn for this soft and squishy crochet blanket that your baby will love. It is a size 6 super bulky chenille yarn. The yarn comes in many colors that can be combined to make beautiful crochet baby blankets to suit any nursery theme.
    The stitch used is very easy and beginner-friendly. I chose the colors Baby Sand, Overcast and White to make a crochet blanket for baby boys. Want to make it for a baby girl? How about just switching the blue for a pink or a coral color? I bet you will love the results.

    I love this pattern! 👏 You are an excellent teacher and have such a nice soothing voice to learn from! I just made two of these baby blankets for twins that I know who are both having girls. I used baby white, baby pink, and baby lilac for the first one. For the second one, I used baby white, baby pink, and baby mountain mist. They both turned out beautiful!! 💖 I laughed when I read some of these comments, because it also took me way longer than four hours as well. 😁
    I would say the first one took me about 12 hours, 🤣 start to finish, and the second one took maybe 8 hours, start to finish, because I was more familiar with doing it. Once the first three rows are done, the rest is easy going and enjoyable to do while just watching tv. I am a tight knitter/crocheter, so I used a clover crochet hook size 12 (love clover). Even though I made a gauge that was 4” square, both of my blankets did come out a little smaller than the stated 34 inches wide and 37 inches long. After gently stretching out my blankets a bit, the measurements of my blankets were approximately 30” wide and 36” long including the border. So it is not a huge difference and I think the size is still very nice. I may go up to a size 14 hook one the next blanket I do, or I might just stay with the 12 because I am still satisfied with size.
    The next one of these blankets I want to make will be for a boy. I was able to get the baby white and baby sand, but I cannot find baby overcast anywhere, so I bought baby blue instead, it looks similar to the baby overcast, so it should turn out fine. 😊
    Thank you again for this video!! 👏

    I just started this blanket and I love it so far! I am only on my fourth row but I grabbed 7 weight instead of 6. Its not terrible but its pretty thick haha. I should have read the description. I also just used "extra Bernat blanket" oooops. But the video is so easy to understand and I have only just kind of "mastered" the single crochet. I can't wait to watch the rest of your videos! Hopefully this thick blanket will give me enough practice to get the right weight and try again for my new niece! Thank you!

    Thank you for this gorgeous simple pattern. Your video was easy to. follow. Your level of expertise comes through but in a very gentle way. Thank you again.
    I've done about five swatches of other patterns and did not like any of them. They were either too simple or too bulky.
    A co worker is having her 2nd baby on this Wednesday and it's a boy. She is using the color sage for him. I'm hoping to find a bulky yarn with sage and blue in it....
    Is it possible to use this stitch for a baby beanie....
    where am i able to share my finished work with you.
    Thanks again
    Liz

      Hi Liz, yes, you can certainly use this stitch for a baby beanie. Just make sure you have an even number of stitches around. You can tag me on instagram: #crochetdreamz

    I love this blanket! Can your tell me how long should my foundation chain should be for throw blankets? Thanks!

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  3 года назад +7

      You will have to chain 88 to make your throw 50 inches and 96 to make it 54 inches wide.

    I want to make a "grown up" version of this, how much yarn would I need? 2 of each color maybe?

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  3 года назад +1

      Yes, I think 2 of each would be sufficient.

    I love the pattern, found it after I already purchased (on sale) two skeins of Bernat Baby Blanket in variegated color pattern. Will that be enough, do you think for a baby blanket?

    Hello, I'm a beginner, so I hope I ask this question correctly, would the chain amount to the width or us it considered the length of the blanket? I hope I make sence on what I'm asking?? I love your videos! Thank you ☺

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  4 года назад

      The chain amounts to the width of the blanket.

    How many rolls I will need to do this blanket?!

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  4 года назад +1

      150 yards of the blue and beige and 200 yards of white since you use it for the border too.
