*Pray* *Like the majority of the songs on the album, Pray is about the pain and sadness that both Joe and his brother Mario have gone through as a result of their mother’s passing. Pray is about the desperation one goes through when hoping for something worse to get better, whether it be bad weather, or a close loved one is unwell.* *Verse 1* We pray, pray for the light to reign We call, we call the day We rise, pray for the wind to blow We know, we know the way *Their mother is sick during the writing process, and they are praying for her to get better, the light from day, and wind blowing are all symbols of life, its a metaphor for how they are hoping for and praying that their mother gets better.* *Chorus* No faith in your world Create my own to thrive No faith in your world Create my own to thrive *There are multiple double entendres in these lines. Faith could mean religion, or it could mean trust. In the second line, is the protagonist creating a world or faith? And if it’s faith, which definition? Religion or trust? All of these could make sense given the overall theme on the album of dealing with the death of a loved one* *Verse 2* We pray, pray for the light to reign We call, we call the day *Chorus* No faith in your world Create my own to thrive No faith in your world Create my own to thrive *Bridge* Go, go, go *Verse 3* We rise, pray for the wind to blow We know, we know the way
Heard Joe talking about the picking pattern of this song and how it differentiates throughout and how it's not easy keeping the attack right. I'd like to learn this song for myself. Really good song:)
Well he rarely sings clean vocals. The only clean vocals he did live before Magma were in A sight to Behold and they too had sort of robotic effects in them.
I'm glad they're finally playing this live. Now just start playing Magma too.
They won't ever play Magma because it's way too difficult to play on guitar IMO (I'm talking about the pinch harmonics in the verses)
This may be the closest we'll ever come to a live version of Magma

These guys are ridiculously good.

3:56 that pause and Go was soooo awesome!

The same rhythm applies to the double kicks, its not an easy song!
This song was amazing live!
3:34 Joe looking directly to my soul 😱
Best concert I ever witnessed. I hope they come back to Asheville soon. Seeing them at Carolina Rebellion in May though. :D
I FUCKIN told y'all this song will sound sick live.

The heaviest matter of the universe
I'm sorry but Joe's cleans here sound terrible. :(
It's not his voice really, there's way too much delay :(
But even in the delay, you can hear that he's not really in key.

what about world to come and global warming ?
Luca Toberer Oh yeah I forgot about World to come but I don't think they've played Global Warming live, at least to my knowledge.
