Seeing the Big Bud's hooked up to the planters just makes me smile. Praying for rain for the rest of the summer. We're already in water conservation mode 3 hours north of you. Take care and God bless!
I was hearing peeps talkin EL NINIO a couple months ago... so we will see... this winter was weird... not normal weather these last 2 years.... poles must be shifting or the North & south poles are overloaded by strippingpolarbears or something!!! LOL HAHAHAHAHa
I AM ACTUALLY PRAYING FOR EVERYONE THAT HARVESTS SOMETHING THAT HELPS OTHERS AND THEMSELVES TO HAVE A BOUNTYFUL HARVEST AND GOOD GROWING SEASON LEEDING UPTO THE HARVEST, and may all their PRODUCT MAKE IT TO MARKET !!! (don't dilly dally tho, cuz sittin PRODUCT had chance of mold and other ikkys... I think there gunna be a bad vomatoxin this year and ummm BIN ROT or wtuever they call it... unless you have proper monitoring in your storage bins... ;) ....) and white mold gunna be an issue the more and more def gets used... it and TARSPOT gunna be linked to BLU DEMON JUICE (DEF) sooner or later.... ;) sigh...
"Showoff!"
Honestly I had a BIG smile all over my face - because getting all 4 hooks aligned with the skid steer takes some skill. Impressive! 😎😎🤘🤘
Beware of Hantavirus from mice Scott. We lost a young farmer in Southwest Saskatchewan several years ago to it. 36 years old. Left behind a wife and a 9 and 7 year old children
On the news they were saying there's already 2 people in sask with Hanta in the hospital. It sucks trying to get equipment cleaned out to us after those little buggers are in there destroying everything.
I watch your weather pretty closely. I do care about you folks. You guys need more rain. I regularly look at the USGS drought monitor for your area and mine. Right now we're both in Abnormally Dry conditions. It's been worse but God willing, it will get better this year.
But dry land farmers work so much harder haha
I’ve been watching their weather & praying for 3 years.
Bob, you are the man , work Smarter not harder ! Prayers for rain for your part of the country and on your acreage.
May the Lord bless you all. 20:35
I love when your dad does a segment, he is great at explaining and completing the work. Take care brothers in Christ.
Interested in your benefit of a tow between cart instead of a tow behind? For the most part where I am from in Alberta people have tow behind Bourgault drills
Shoulda put LSW's on the ol charger...LOL...I pray that you guys get timely rains, and all the rain you need at the times you need it! AND NO HAIL ! AMEN
You are an amazing family, and it makes me proud to know how you look at something and it's not a problem to hop right to it and change parts around to get ready for the next part of the operation.
I am amazed at the amount of behind-the-scenes work that goes on just to get a crop planted. WOW!!!
I've always said that field work is like a vacation from getting ready for field work.
Bearings are cheap, downtime during planting is expensive.
Always replace all the bearings on a shaft. "I'll do that next year" will get forgotten about.
Not in this case. He will need to change things for wheat and back again next year.
Last time you were at the bins I wondered how to label them without leaving scribbles of a sharpie. Alas the small holes and a hairpin cotter, clever monkeys indeed;]
Bob I am shure glad you remember how to put all those pieces back where thay belong I would have had to take a picture
It may be worth your while putting a bunch of small fresh cut Cedar choggs in your truck cabs etc over winter, rodents don’t like the smell (apparently) it’s an old classic car storage trick I was taught years ago. Proper Atlas or Lebanon cedar mind, not Red cedar. 🐭
great video. i work in a case ih dealership and have never seen how to calibrate an air cart before. i work in parts dept so this really helps me understand what our customers are doing when it comes to prepping for planting
Glad it helped!
It is so refreshing to read about a parts man who wants to fully understand what they are selling far beyond just the part number. I had a young parts man tell me that front wheel drive cars don't have front wheel bearings, even after I told him I was looking at one in my hand. Best of luck I hope you go far!
Your father is the man. He works hard and is very intelligent on the mechanical part of farming. God bless and have a great year.
He sure is!
Busy busy time getting ready to seed.
Thanks to Bob for showing us how to clean the seeding tubes for the seeders. That was some fine work and very detailed. You got the touch Bob. Got them ready to go to put seed in the ground. Now you need the moisture. I watch the weather for your area. Prayers for your area for rain and more moisture!!!!!!!! God bless!!!!!!!
Good work unloading the bags of lentils into the storage area. Ready to go when you are ready. Go go go.
Busy time. Important time getting seed in the ground.
Have at it Welkers.
Prayers for rain.
God bless.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I may groan and roll my eyes when Bob breaks out the Dad jokes but it just wouldn't be Bob without them. There is a lot to be said about experience and Bob has no shortage of that.
Any chance we could get rain reports? They could be shorts here , or on Facebook. You guys have a lot of people praying for you including myself that you get the rain you need. God bless
Yes, sir! Love those 3M ROLOC rotary tool to remove Corrosion and gaskets, etc. No dissimilar metal introduced that would cause corrosion. P.S. We also like the rotary bristle disks from 3M. Loving your channel's content! 🙂👍
Nick did you guys part out the Red Peterbilt??? I remember many videos ago mentioning something about it having a cracked or twisted frame?
Answer coming......
I keep rodents out of my tractor cabs with "Mothballs". I haven't vacuumed mouse crap in a long time. Squirrels hate mothballs also.
Lol 😅 never say never!! Just had a tote rip yesterday and it was brand new!! One of the corners fell off so only 3 were holding and before it got set on the ground it tore all the way down and had a mess of oat seed to pick up 🙈
De tension the conveyor belt over winter, good. Not replacing old bearings and suffering mid-planting failure NOT good!
Hopefully you can show videos twice a week during planting with the incredible drone shots of the Buds working so majectily. Gods grace for your families and your farming operation.
ABSOLUTELY---------> OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!. 🙂
Need to buy those mouse bags that you can throw in sheds and vehicles. Cheap and VERY effective.
I'm never in my life going to change from fine to course on that equipment but you can be sure I enjoyed watching the how to and the reality of farm life
Welker Farms, Yay! I liked this video so much, it made me smile!
Try some mothballs or cedar chips in the truck cab when parking for the winter.
I wouldn’t have bothered getting out a vacuum cleaner to clean the cab. I’d get a leaf blower and open both doors.
we run our innoculant through a canola roller in the middle tank...
Bonjour la famille welker super video preparation du somoir pour les semis 2024 bon courage a tous
May you get the rain you need for a good crop. A hungry world can use all the wheat, peas and lentils you can grow.
5:45 Was Bob referring to my bald spot? 😂
I woukd hate to split hairs with you..........😊
Awesome video guys. Yea planting time
How about an update on your house Nick if you would be so nice to let us viewers know how it is coming along please
Maybe one day you do a quick walk round the 7000 series case. I have a 5150 pro. Would be nice to see her big sister. Thanks and best of luck with seeding 2024. God bless and keep you all safe
The helping hands of today’s conveyers. I like it!
Inspirational seeing the spring planting starting. Good thoughts and prayers for a great season. Thank you, take care and God bless.
You two are something else. I love watching you guys. Be fun to be there to help yall. I miss the farm stuff.
I loved how you bugged the dog at the end with the drone.
God bless your health, your machines and the weather for your 2024 harvest.
Please do some live streaming please i miss them so much
I love this part of the season planting!! You get to see all the beautiful pieces of equipment out in the fields!
Would love to see restoration on that green beast 😊
I truly enjoy watching you three work together, does this old heart good!
We used to soak our bearings down with wd40 at the end of each season. Seemed to help with the rust on the roller bearings.
You three guys our amazing I am impressed you're not afraid to get your hands dirty you're a good mechanics and your good farmers you all work very very hard God bless you all
anything with a battery should have a little SMALL LITTLE 1' x 1' square solar panel and a trikkle charger hooked up to that solar panel....... just in a perfekt werld and all that .....
HAVE A GREAT E V E R Y T H I N G !!!!!!
LOVE JOY COMPASSION
When it comes to rodents I have had the very best luck with a bar like bait called final
You can put it in a bait station
Or we put it loose in the truck cab.
Good luck with seeding
They are getting started with corn and beans around here in SW Wisconsin.
Great video! God bless you all and may you have health, happiness and prosperity! Thanks again for all you do from me and my full stomach!
watch those bag straps in the sharp edge of the forks. if they slide just a bit they;ll cut through real quick, and once one pops they all go. i've seen it happen twice.
Ouch! That would suck. I'd be taking the edge off of those fork corners pretty darn quick.
I sure do hope you get rain
And have a GREAT crop .
Stay safe guys !!!!
Well Bob I can see where the boys get the wrench skills from!! Good work!
Good luck and God bless on your 2024 planting season!
Wishing you a safe and smooth seeding 2024 Welkers!
Have a safe productive season! Keep up the content!
All the best with seeding guys
God bless from Thailand
Good video with Dad showing how it is done.
It looked like most of those gauges in the seed truck don't work anymore.
Stopped in my Hometown of Cut Bank today then on to Big Bud country, Havre where my son lives. Ran by your place on the way. I thank the Lord often for his this channel because it brings me home.
I love how you all explain what you are doing when working in the shop. Someone should create an online game of sticking the forks of the skid steer through the loops of the seed bags for farm simulator
Seeing that tractor heading out to the field excites me. I pray that this years crop will be a good one for you guys. Nobody works any harder than you all do.
Bob provides great instruction and detail. Hoping you are blessed with rain this season.
🙏 everyone has great farming season!
Almost time to seed. Thank you for the video. Hope the crew / family and you are doing well. Also God Bless ..
May God give you a bountiful harvest of not only crops but people as well .
Have a great and safe spring planting season. God bless
Go time! Go time!!
Best luck and prayers for a great planting season!
Seeing your dad do his thing makes me smile. No matter what he"s doing. Even when he clean the ceiling of the shop. Admire his determination to move on. It shows he love it. Wish him a lot more years in health. Blessings with the seeding. Love it watching! 😀
So when are you guys going to show what we’re doing to the red Pete and your new truck
Nick! Where's your "handy dandy marker" for "Empty"?
I have watched your presentation videos for the last few years. I hope you have a great season this year. I love the content.
I love the old Ford grain truck!
As to inoculant "getting all over ya"... somebody might say, "At least I know I won't rot in the ground." (Sorry, Old Dad joke).
Have a safe seeding season! Hopes for a bountiful crop this year!
Switch to liquid innoculant. You’ll never go back to peat based, no more dust in the eyes, way easier to calibrate than shaking those bags
PTSD Watching Bob rebuild those rollers. They were the bane of my existence
Great video guys, I hope and pray that you will have a successful harvest this year
Don't you guys have cats on your farm? To keep the rodents down. I don't recall seeing them in your videos. I would imagine you do though.
Im hoping an update comes soon for the welker farms map in farm sim adding peas so we can harvest and plant them too instead of base game crops
Your Dad is the best!!
Crazy to see how dry and brown everything still is out there yet... are winter wheat is 12" tall in Wisconsin and we have corn going in.
Praying daily for your best season. God be with your entire family.✝️
God Bless you'll, we pray for a Good Year.
Did you guys buy that grain cart, it's the 3rd season I believe with it 😊
I’m praying for a good season. Bless you guys
Goodness...just put warfarin in the vehicle cabs..the mice will eat and run out to find water. Ending spring mouse crap everywhere.
Watching what these guys can do, all the fabrication, all the mechanical work, all the equipment they have and the facilities they work in, the money they already have invested, isn't it sad that based on the outlandish labor rates businesses that do this stuff every day charge, these guys still come out ahead by doing the work themselves?
Grandpa Gus on Amazon will keep the mice out
I’m just in time, love the spring, illlllll be back.
Smile on my face seeing the big machines come to life. Awesome time of year. Blessings for a great season to all of you!!
Love the videos and god bless
Nick what is the purpose Inoculate added to the peas? I’m praying the Welker Farm will have your fair share of rain this year and you guys have a record crop across the farm with no hail damage or crop damage by insects you gentleman have had a rough couple of years and this year I’m praying you’ll have great success. God bless the Welkers. 👍☝️☝️🙏🙏🙏🙏 🇺🇸
Adds beneficial soil bacteria that help legumes produce nitrogen for healthy growth.Necessary when you haven't grown that crop for several years.
@@lynwessel2471 Thanks.
such a simple bin contents marker-- --and it works so well!
Try throwing mice poison in the winter time it helps when not in use during the winter months.
Come on nick, those wheels on the charger aren't CASE red...... ya slacker !! 😂
throw a bunch of moth balls inside trucks over the winter i bet u won't have that trouble anymore.
THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO FEEDING US..
Hoping and praying for a good season for you this year!
