Been watching Utube vids on this little inexpensive 22 and it appears to be a quality control issue whereas half the vids they absolutely loved and the other half was same issue as yours...probably just needed cleaned and lubricated, very accurate! I recently bought the Taurus TX22 compact w/optics and what a sweet little on target plinker for around $240, 13+1 mags but will take their big brother 17 and 20 rd mags as well. I actually carry it everywhere. Great vids brother!
Have had mine now for 6 months and i only use cci mini mags cphp. Been thru about 3000 rounds and 1 failure to fire on 1st hit but did fire on 2nd hit. ALso about 4 or 5 stove pipes out of 3000 rounds
So as i have had my P17 for 6 months now with the same 5 mags working flawless, i just ordered 5 more mags. Got them in today and every single 1 of those new mags were HARD to get that 15th and 16th round and all 5 mags gave me an issue with out of battery upon 1st round chamber. The springs on the orginal 5 mags are softer now due to use, but these new mags have stiffer springs so that TIGHT 16th round is giving resistance to the slide to chambger it, this is why you get the out of battery on that 1st chamber. So now i have to keep these new mags fully loaded until i go fire them to loosen the springs up.
First thing I did when I got it home was to tear it down and clean, oil and lube it. At the range, I used a mix of old ammo (remington, federal, CCI, and Aguila. I had 4 duds and 1 get stuck) and minus the duds, shot everything else. Mine didn't come with 16 rounders, but instead, 10 rounders. I found the trigger to be OUTSTANDING and the sights, dead on. Gonna get some new Aguila and CCI first chance I get.
Mine did the same thing I had to send it back to the company and hopefully they will fix it! Of course it begs the bigger question which is quality control a brand new gun should not have these issues ever!
After the video I shot it for a while, adjusted the sights to point of aim was shooting high left and it quit jamming as much but still does here and there overall worth the money
@qwas_1234_ mine occasionally fails to return to battery. It chambers the round but stays open about a quarter of an inch. Many different brands of ammo. 600 rounds through it. Still fun.
@@HNHOUTDOORTV had mine for about 6 months and i really enjoy shooitng it, every trip to the range i shoot 200 rounds which is about 12 mags worth. This gun is really fun to shoot.

@markbrown-rq6is hell yeah man, sucks about 10 rounders tho, I've used it a lot since this video and have come to absolutely love that lil gun!
@@HNHOUTDOORTV try lubing the underside of the slide. I still can't get over how lite the trigger is.

I agree! But when it comes to guns the old saying you get what you pay for is very true, definitely a cool gun tho I'm a fan of it
funny how people think a 22 is not enough for edc but when a 22 is pulled on YOU, you are now in fear of your life.
Completely agree, have killed and seen many things killed with a 22 I DEFINITELY don't want shot with one
@@HNHOUTDOORTV i dont even want to be shot by a 17 or a 22 cal pellet for that matter either. Even that in the right place can do some serious damage
@ACommenterOnRUclips absolutely! There capable of killing hogs and deer, very deadly with good shot placement
Man I don’t even wanna be shot at by a blank round 🤦🏽♂️😂😂😂
A good friend of mine said, a 22 will just piss someone off, maybe so, but they'll be pissed with 10 or more rounds in em..

Use thunderbolt High velocity rounds has never jammed using them for me
22 Thunderbolt 22 LR 40 Grain by Remington!! The pistol requires hv rounds only
Thanks for the info man! Ganna try several different brands of ammo this weekend to see what it likes best and will definitely try those!
@@HNHOUTDOORTV @ me in the comments when ya do I really want a see what yours does!

Rattle snake kill on channel!
these guns are NOT oiled from Keltec and need to be oiled before 1st fired. This is why you have battery issues and failure to chamber.
That makes sense, I've shot it quite a bit since then and honestly love the gun

This gun is really fun to shoot.
I cleaned mine ASAP. Mine was dirty. I oiled and lubed it especially the underside of the slide.
