I Love it. Destabilizing and Repulser Brace goes hard. Also playing with a Dragonfly and perpetual motion role. It’s does have its issues, but they are fun and heavy hitting to use.
Another Big Advantage to Destabilizing Rounds, is it's treated as an ability kill with the volite explosion wheras volt shot and incandescent are tied to the weapon. This means that if the volite explosion kills a target it will proc devour if not proced already.
@VD1461 it has to have the cool down. Back when it used to not have a cool down it could proc every other bullet on a 900rpm weapon. Which for obvious reasons was crazy. And the voidwall grenade would EAT bosses with Void Titan controlled demolition. Yeah. Good times.
With regards to the wardens law vs mahees damage comment at 2:09: kinetic weapons no longer get the damage bonus vs tier 4 enemies (bosses). Carl is a tier 3 (elite) enemy.
agree, I had more footage of them both doing more or less than the other. The thing I couldn't figure out was the lucky pants getting to 40k+ on warden and capping at 30k on Maahes. Other times maahes did more. Regardless of enemy type. A lot of the time maahes did not get the abyss buff too.
@@CoolGuyGames every single example in the video that I've found where you're confused and they do the same damage is when you're shooting a boss. Look for the skull instead of the faction symbol in the health bar triangle.
As a Lucky Pants main in PvE, I knew I had to grab a good one of these the first chance I got even Frenzy isn't exactly better than Vorpal comparing to Warden's Law, BUT considering you can pair it with the likes of Leviathan's Breath or Doomed Petitioner with 2x-3x void surge mods, It'll definitely have a home in any Void-Based LP setups I run in the future
I love this weapon, I have a rapid hit frenzy roll and it puts in work the crucible, I love how this heavy burst feel, omolon fluid dynamics is amazing it helps this archetype so much!!!
I played on your team and was in the lobby wasnt entirely sure it was u but I saw u running some obscure hand cannon and low and behold ur reviewing it now, ggs
The second guy you were shooting to show the frenzy thing with warden's law was a boss level mob. You can tell by the icon next to his name. So, warden's law shouldn't be doing more damage in that case. The first guy was not a boss level mob. EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm talking about the Swordbearer Knight on the moon. That guy is a boss level mob. So in that specific instance, the guns doing the same damage is intended.
This is correct. Bungie doesn’t always do a great job of clearly signaling which “yellow bar” foes are classified as Bosses, versus “Minibosses”. The “Carl” colossus on Nessus is NOT a boss-level enemy - it’s a miniboss.
Bro, I love your videos. I've been following your channel for a long time. Your opinions have inspired me to try different builds and guns, and I trust your research more than other RUclipsrs'. Keep up the great work!
I've been using the prosperity ghost mod and it pretty much turned all my world drops things like this, old sterling, etc. Very fortunate to get a rapid hit dragonfly that I love. Looking forward to that yarovit mg4 review
This review is kinda wild to me! Normally I agree with you 99.9% of the time, but I got a frenzy + unrelenting and a destabilization + void shield perk and was super impressed with both! Not to discredit you take at all just find the polarity intresting!
Bold Endings is the best crucible 2 burst. Moving Target + To The Pain really helps with the downsides of the archetype and makes it feel way stickier and more forgiving. It plays kinda weird, but it's good for teamshooting. I hope they give these a little bit of a buff, though.
I agree that Bold Endings is the most consistent model of this archetype that we’ve seen so far (which is only three models). My beef with this archetype for Crucible is that the ideal range (25 to 32 meters) overlaps a lot with more consistent archetypes (140 rpm hand cannons, rapid-fire pulse rifles), and those weapons will defeat you 1v1. You’re correct in noting that Heavy Burst cannons are solid for team-shooting… but 120 rpm hand cannons do that even better, with longer effective-range. I think you’re spot-on to mention the usefulness of To The Pain for this archetype. But… when a weapon needs a certain perk to just be viable, that’s not good. It’s always better to have a weapon that’s good, on its own, and then can be improved upon with perk options.
This gun with Rapid Hit/Frenzy paired with the Call with LfG/OfA combined with Lucky Pants carried me through a bulk of my solo Legendary campaign experience. It had me able to use transcendence so often that I barely had to use the prismatic puddles they give you.
Repulsor / Destabilizing with Prismatic Lucky Pants is fun. Tons of overshields from so many different sources. Remember you need 26 rounds in the magazine for max damage on Lucky Pants - Appended Mag + Backup Mag mod will get this for you. For raw damage and DPS, Rapid Hit / Frenzy is the go-to. Good luck on your drops, maybe next episode we can farm this in Lost Sectors.
I’ve fully enhanced an Enlightened action and Golden Tricorn roll, with Flared magwell, chambered compensator and a stability masterwork and it feels like a dream to use. I also got a Repulsor Brace and Golden Tricorn roll with the same mag and barrels, but with a range masterwork, but I just couldn’t get over how slow the reload felt.
The oolong HC is one of my favorite models from D1. Was super stoked when I saw this and mad it was a world drop since I didn't think I have any good world drops lol but I got lucky for the first time ever and got my 5/5 on day one of Final Shape with rapid hit/frenzy and I love this thing!
I've had several drop and lucked out with a repulsor/frenzy roll that has been my go-to. I've played a lot more with this archetype this season once I started playing Haz. Propulsion Titan because, for some reason, this specific archetype of HCs fill up that Exodus Rockets meter waaaay more consistently than anything else. Even other Aggressive Burst weapon types such as pulse rifles and sidearms.
I managed to get a Repulsor-Frenzy roll Day 1 of The Final Shape, and as a Gyrfalcon's Hunter main, it cooks really hard. It's not my main weapon for the build, but, at least for this season, if I need Overload, that thing's got my back every day of the week.
Most used primary so far this expansion. Repulse + Destab is so solid. Personally using alloy mag for reload once mag is dumped, the archetype’s damage feels good enough IMO to not feel like I need a damage perk, great utility stick to use on Prismatic, Woven Mail plus Overshield is kinda fun
Got one halfway through my first campaign playthrough for TFS and it had Perpetual + Disruption, so one dead perk, but I loved using it and wanted more rolls asap. Have had a few drop since, Perp + Dragonfly, Perp + Tricorn, etc. None with Volatile or Frenzy though. Really like the gun and it's the only Omolon HC I've enjoyed in D2.
I got lucky with a drop in the 1st week of TFS with repulsor/destabilising. Been loving it so much. It now lives on my Titan and I still keep my adept word of crota roll for hunter. Love both of them 😎
Waiting for CoolGuy to review Bold Endings and agree that, even though Headstone + Dragonfly doesn’t work as we’d want, the combo is super fun for stasis crafting
Easily the best heavy burst cannon in the game right now, which is surprising as an Omolon weapon - worth trying if you still aren't a fan of the archetype.
I got one with Repulsor Brace & Dragonfly - it's like a mini Graviton Lance that gives me extra shields, pairs perfectly with Gyrfalcon's, and it's by far my most used weapon this expansion.
CoolGuy: this weapon is rough; the recoil is difficult to manage; unforgiving with a slower TTK Also CoolGuy: showcases two different “We Ran Out Of Medals” using this weapon
I am grinding for a Destabilizing Rounds + Repulsor Brace roll for PvE. Whilst the two burst hand cannons are in a weird place right now, if Bungie buff's this with some extra base stability, this could be a real monster. Ideally, what I am hoping for is for Bungie to add this to the list of weapons that Banshee allows us to focus. Something like the following. 1) Add the following four foundries to his inventory of focusable weapons. Nadir, Cassoid, Tex Machina and Field Forged (ie: Weapons with the Field Tested origin trait). This would make for a total of 8 foundries alongside Suros, Veist, Omolon and Häkke. 2) Remove the four craftable weapons from the focusing rotation and have them purely as world drops, so that all of the focusable weapons are non-craftable. In addition add four more craftable weapons, one from each of the new foundries, as purely world drops. Farming lost sectors would be the best source to get them. 3) Allow us to enhance all of the weapons that Banshee lets us to focus. 4) Bring back Arms Day as a source of some truly unique weapons with potentially powerful rolls. This would make Banshee truly relevant as a vendor beyond being a source of enhancement cores.
Great suggestions. I loved Arms Day in D1 and am surprised they didn't bring it back as part of the Banshee rework. I got one of my favorite PVP scout rifles from it. I believe it was called the Suros DIS-43. Thing was a beast.
I find this weapon to be pretty enjoyable. I have rapid hit/dragonfly and mainly have used it with Gryfalcons. Dragonfly and volatile rounds has a very cool/effective interaction and is one of my favorite perks to run on a void gun
I used this thing week one, and I got rapid hit swash. Loved it in 6v6, has to be used like a sidearm, once i did that instead of treating it like a HC I loved it. Fantastic. I've since trashed it for a tricorn roll with fluted. Even better. The worst part about it is the base stability.
I love my Repulsor Brace + Destab Rounds roll on my Prismatic Titan that’s desperate for any kind of sustain, even if the latter perk desperately needs a buff.
Coming back to this comment and pointing out that this repulsor and destabilizing combo single-handedly sustains the horrible prismatic Titan. Justice for titans
I got an enlightened action and swashbuckler roll with a range masterwork as my very first new weapon of TFS and I really like it. It hits hard and feels good to use so I suggest if you get 1 to drop try it out before you delete it.
This gun frustrates me so much because I didn't realize until a few days ago that it was a two burst. For some reason I just assumed it was just a generic 140 hand cannon, and now I'm desperately trying to remember if I accidentally threw out a really good roll... OTL
I actually have one with rapid hit and destabilizing rounds. Didn't even know it was a burst HC as it came from random tower engram on a secondary character. Might have to play around with it now.
Frenzy + Unrelenting been consistent clapper: Void Grenades give Devour; unrelenting for some extra / when Devour is down. Titan barricade for fast reload or Void Loader for fast reloads when in the danger zone. P nice p nice
The reason why Warden's is better on non boss coded enemies even with the artifact, is that those modifiers are compounded multiplicatively instead of additively. So it's X*1.1*1.15 instead of X*1.25.
I tried to make this gun work with repulsor + destabilizing but I just hate it. The reload feels terrible. I ended up crafting an outlaw + destabilizing Targeted Redaction to use instead and that has been great.
I've only had like three drop for me. Luckily, I was able to score a corkscrew/tactical mag/unrelenting/frenzy roll. It feels great in PVE I'm pretty sure I used up my entire seasons worth of good RNG to get it.
I got repulsor brace and destabilizing rounds to drop first drop of the new dlc. First gun to drop for me. Feels better on a non lucky pants build. The damage isn't what I want it to be
I love all my Maahes hand cannon rolls, but still waiting for Bungie to drop a headseeker or desperado burst hand cannon. I think headseeker might make for a decent roll for crucible. Especially paired with another crit magnetism perk.
Why not Swash? You have lightweight knife or Weighted Knife with Athrys. Either would help the work with the initial ttk on the first engagdment or beyond and feed into the perk.
I really, REALLY wish it could be Gunsmith focused. It's Omolon, so why it already isn't is confusing :/ I am always a fan of new Hand Cannons though, Lucky Pants is my second favorite build and I love me some sweet Prismatic Tether option. Also, remember that Kinetics deal increased damage to unshielded. That's why it's still "best" for the build.
I only managed to get 3 and I play daily. I got a Enlightened Action+Tricorn roll and I like it in PvE. But my go to HC in PvP is my 100 range Warden's Law, sometimes the range I hit people shocks me.
I got an TacM/Unrelenting/Frenzy one on my voidlock as my first new drop when FS launched.....carried me through the legend campaign and it's probably my fav hc now😂 so damn good enhancing was a must lol
got rapid/destabilizing and repulsor/destabilizing. Haven’t taken off lucky pants tether prismatic hunter in gms since I got it, and have been hoping for an unrelenting destabilizing
The heavy burst kinda feels like 180s in pvp. Like perks are what really makes them separate, but I feel like heavies even with perks don't give enough to make them worth it to use because of 120s just being all around better and more consistent. 180s have the in air accuracy and ease of use paired with fast 3 taps with kill clip, precision instrument, tricorn, and sword logic. You get a lot with 180s base and perks, where these heavy bursts just don't to me.
I caught so much hate from my Clan aaaannnd I probably will now 😄 First & ONLY drop... Chambered, Accurized, Repulsor Brace, Destabilising Rounds, Stability MW.
Had 4 drop all with dogwater rolls. Best was Enlightened action, swash which felt great when x5 with the reload but not deserving of the slot when I can just run crafted abberant action
I thought they took the 10% increase away from kinetic weapons? Could’ve swore I read that in the patch notes because of the benefit prismatic gets benefits from kinetic.
Thank you for watching! I have been using this in void shield heavy content and it has been doing great . Thoughts on it??
Glad to finally see Bungie make more weapons with uncommon archetypes. Looking forward to seeing them add more two-bursts.
Hey did you accidentally have expanding abyss on?
I Love it. Destabilizing and Repulser Brace goes hard. Also playing with a Dragonfly and perpetual motion role. It’s does have its issues, but they are fun and heavy hitting to use.

i wish destab rounds didnt have that cooldown, i think it still has it atleast, but it puts it behind the solar and voltshot one
@@VD1461far behind unfortunately, destabilising rounds are pretty bad in comparison. It’s an ok perk but not even close to the other elemental options

I have a Rapid Hit Frenzy one that I’ve been using in PvE and it’s pretty nice also with arrowhead and flared magwell
I have the repulsor brace and destabilizing rounds roll. However I prefer my max range (90 range) Maahes with repulsor brace and frenzy!
I think I’ve only gotten a handful of these things to drop but I’m constantly neck deep in Old Sterlings.
i got the repulsor+volatile roll on the first week of this season, just kept in the vault because of the pale heart weapons
Deadass i didnt even realize its a 2 burst cause i havent used it
got rapid/destabilizing and repulsor/destabilizing. Haven’t taken off lucky pants tether prismatic hunter in gms since I got it, and have been hoping for an unrelenting destabilizing
For my first one to drop. The hunt is gonna b rough
So for lucky pants PVE, this or bold endings or wardens law?
For Mahees I have EA/Frenzy and Repul/Tricorn
warden
I caught so much hate from my Clan aaaannnd I probably will now 😄 First & ONLY drop... Chambered, Accurized, Repulsor Brace, Destabilising Rounds, Stability MW.
Which would be your must frustrating weapon to review?
As a hunter Using Gyrfalcon, I opted for Repulsor/Frenzy. Don’t really have any use for Destabilizing with that exotic piece.
I need you to start catching your Threaded Spike bro, this shit is driving me insane.
Had 4 drop all with dogwater rolls. Best was Enlightened action, swash which felt great when x5 with the reload but not deserving of the slot when I can just run crafted abberant action
Nice, I have enlightened, rapid hit, and unrelenting and frenzy
I have the repulsor destabilise roll and I love it.
I got destabilizing rounds and something else that helps with handling. It works great. Slow reload though.
I thought they took the 10% increase away from kinetic weapons? Could’ve swore I read that in the patch notes because of the benefit prismatic gets benefits from kinetic.
First drop, repulser/destabilize. Been my go to void primary ever since
I have repulsor brace/ swash and really like it. Its a fun hc.
