I just want to say I love ARCTIC. From the Liquid II 360 (would've gotten a 420 if it fit in any cases...), that keeps my 5900X cool even in this insane summer heat, to the 7 additional P12's that provide fresh air for the 3 on the Liquid II... And even at fairly high speed, the noise of my GPU fans are louder, than the P12's. Now I'm not a huge fan of RGB normally, but after moving to the Lian Li O11 XL recently (unfortunately doesn't fit P14's well, otherwise I'd use those instead), I'm slowly coming around to appreciating little bit of disco in my case, since that O11 XL showcases everything. And I've been tempted to switch out all my P12's for either BioniX's or P12 ARGB's. But it's hard to justify replacing 10 fans that I bought just this year... Aaah, 5 fan value-pack for the RGB models, when? :P
Thanks for the review and very happy with the results you publish. You can actually have the cable fitting between the 2 fans when they are side by side, that is the way we assembly them on our Liquid Freezer II.
You’re welcome! :) Right now i’m unable to double check, but if i remember correctly, on the LFii you’re routing the Fan cables on one side and RGB on the other. But I was talking about a scenario where you have 3 sides which are flush. e.g a case where the fans are pressed against one side (left/rigt). In that case, if you want to have the fans completely flush to each other too (top/bottom), you have basicly 3 sides of each fans that are pressed against something. On the LF however, the fans are free on two sides.
@Vincent A are you coming out with a 140mm cpu cooler soon? something like an offset black 140mm heatsink with 6 heatpipes and 2 x arctic p14's maybe? :D

Thanks! Means a lot :) We're slowly getting there. 2) 5 should still be fine. But this will depend on your motherboard. Though I wouldn't go much higher than that as you may burn out your RGB/PWM Header at some point. Due to a different video I still have the 3 P12's + 3 other ARGB Fans running over the same Header. This works perfectly fine, but I wouldn't want to test the limits here. 1) Not really, funnily enough, Arctic's ARGB extension cable does not seem to work like a splitter. Of the 6 Fans, 3 are the P12's and the other 3 are running by using a normal RGB splitter. As expected, the last 3 are just repeating the same pattern in sync. The Arctic's however can be used like independent LEDs. So effects like a moving color is jumping from one Arctic to the next one until the other 3 Fans are showing the effect simultaneously. As to how much you can individually control the Fans will completely depend on the Software you use. My barely-functioning dragon center has very limited possibilities, so I was only able to verify everything using the -wave- effect. I hope this helps :)

On that note, have I not mentioned at the beginning of the video that there are 2 different version? I may have only said that on the 140s
I am glad I came across your channel, or your channel made its way to me lol. Anyway great channel and you got 1 more sub. I was a bit concerned about the hum, but seen as i want ARGB i find these seem to be the best for what I want to spend as sadly CM Sickleflow doesn't seem to work with Mystic Light.. This will be my first build and the fans are the last parts to buy for it, and already spent well over 2k, so I think for performance and lights on offer for the price I should give these a shot. I can return if i get the humming i guess.
Why do the connectors come out different sides? Because they traverse from the hub to the edge along different spokes. Otherwise you'd need bigger spokes to hide them.
Thanks for the review! Definitely going to swap my P12s to these as P12 have this howling noise around 900-1200RPM. The howling is especially annoying when you have 9 of them on MO-RA :) BTW any chance to have LIAN LI UniFan SL120 review?
I did not have a humming issue with any of these fans. You can watch the sound comparisson section and turn up the volume, if anything is altered i’m showing it on screen. Sorry never had the ek ones, i’ll write them on my list
Sorry to disappoint you, but you won't. I looked up the your Strix B350-F, and apparently you only have 2x 4-pin RGB headers. The Fans are 3-Pin. So you will need to get an aftermarket controller.
Tricky question, I've heard of that humming before, (unfortunately) I've never heard it myself. Not on the P12 ARGB, nor on the original P12's. If it helps, I had 6x of these running right next to my face for about 6 months. Can't complain, even while rendering.
I have bought these fans and they are on their way. Unsure as to the difference between 5v and 12v and what one i should use for these fans, if anyone could help that would be awesome :)
Are more quiet than sickleflow ? I have some rf120 in my case and they perform really really bad and make a lot of noise so i’m in resarch of some other good and quiet fan
Hey man, I've been planing on getting 6 of these fans for my rig! I'm just wondering do I need a PMW/ARGB connector or not? Since they are daisy-chainnable?Thanks a ton for the great review
Hey, Sound like a good idea^^ Yes, you need an ARGB connector on your mobo to make the RGB shine. Sure they're daisychain-able, but the first one needs to be connected to your mobo.
Discovering the channel and I must say it’s a nice video, great job I do have a question by the way, I have an msi motherboard more precisely the msi mpg z390 gaming plus who does have the classic 4 pin rgb connector on it but if I were up to buy those fans I wouldn’t be able to use it on them So what are my possibilities here, would I need to buy their a-rgb hub too ? And which software those fans are compatible with so you can control them fully ?
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the video:) Well thats an issue but its solvable. A rgb hub wouldn’t solve the issue as those just multiply your outputs. You would need to get some sort of a 3-pin rgb controller. You could go with a cheap one that is controllable by an ir-remote. Propably around 10€. Possibility 2 would be something that allowes you to rely on motherboard controll. Arctic even produces one: www.arctic.de/en/A-RGB-Controller/ACFAN00180A With that one you can eithet use the ir remote which would allow you to go full rainbow, or switch to the 4-pin from your motherboard and use software. Though this is limited to 4-pin functions, such as every color, bot not independenly controlled. The standard software for MSI Motherboards would be their dragon center which you can download on your motherboard product site. I hope this helps you :)
@@STSYT It helps but still not completely, I just looked at their website about the controller you mentioned but I lose the principal thing, the possibility to fully control the color of the fans, what's about their other controller ? I read that since you connect it via USB on your motherboard you can fully control the colors with their software later on, like the icue from corsair if I understood well Isn't that a better solution ?
Question: i am running in my 4000d x4 id cooling tf 12025 argb (i got these long time ago) and i want something that performs better and low noise. I was looking at the Arctic P12 pwm pst argb. Would that be a good upgrade? i mean i dont know if idcooling is lying on the cfm number in box. My idea was to use 4 of those arctics given i already have a liquid freezer II with those same fans and they are way better at least in noise than my previous asus tuf liquid cooler.
Actually, the review is already done. Their review was ment to come out first, but i decided to release this one due to them being newer. The BioniX P120 will come out next Wednesday :)
No but I had something like that on another fan. I gave the fan blades a good wiggle. Try pressing it in and pulling it out a couple of times. I re-wrote the last sentence like 5 times but there is just no way to do it without somebody getting it wrong.
Kinda. The Wings are not sticking out, so it is not possible to directly see the glowing wings from the side. Though there are still lights involved. So the color will still be shining on everything around the fans, thus you can see the light but not the wings themselves.
Hi I tried looking for a related comment but couldn’t find one. It is regarding the last thing you said in the video about using these fans to mount them in the front and how it would be impossible due to the cables sticking out from two sides at the same time. Surely there must be a way, I was planning on using them in that place, I would really appreciate your help it kinda stressed me out since I had my ideal pc build already set in paper and was thinking of buying soon these fans for the build. thanks in advance
Those are the 140mm non-high-speed version. They are spinning at only 1000RPM. They are probably the quietest fans out there, but they should only be used if there's a really beefy air cooler on the CPU.
Hi there! Need little bit of help with something. I wanna buy 4 x Arctic P14 PWM PST A-RGB and 2 x Arctic P12 PWM PST A-RGB, since I wanna be able to change colors and speed of the fans, would Arctic A-RGB Controller and Arctic case Fan Hub do the job via RGB Control Master software? Will those controllers be enough for those 6 fans regarding speed and color of it? And I forgot to mention that I have Asus B550-F Gaming motherboard! Thanks in advance!
They will work just fine, but keep in mind that your CPU cooler will make 90% of that cooling. The Case Fans & Case itself are just a helper in this case
I would say the sickleflows are a bit better performing, but the p12’s are way quieter. I would still go with the p12’s as the performance benefit would not be that big with a good radiator, but the noise will imidiately be noticable.
@@alvaroromero3888 It boils down to performance vs noise. P12s are quieter and bionix push more aire. Personally, I would go for the p12 argb as it’s enought air for me, so that I can go quieter

Because RGB- headers are dying out. If there is any on a modern motherboard, it's usually accompanied by a 3-pin argb. In a year or two there will be 4-pin RGB left
Just get whatever controller for a € on amazon and they will shine.
Which Software are you using to controll the RGB lights? SignalRGB,and OpenRGB doesnt work for me.
Whatever your MOBO comes with. I just stick to those
Thanks for the review! Definitely going to swap my P12s to these as P12 have this howling noise around 900-1200RPM. The howling is especially annoying when you have 9 of them on MO-RA :)
BTW any chance to have LIAN LI UniFan SL120 review?
You’re welcome! I will add it to my to-review list :)
Do these have the hum like the P12 and P14? How do they compare to the EK Vardar 120 argb?
I did not have a humming issue with any of these fans. You can watch the sound comparisson section and turn up the volume, if anything is altered i’m showing it on screen.
Sorry never had the ek ones, i’ll write them on my list
Wow, that sounds... or rather doesn't, like a very quiet option. but the wires... I love your question face, and quite right, why?
Yeah, i followed the question to arctic, let’s hope they decide to release a mini update
This fans are cheap ando amazing!! Quiet ando Nice argb! Grest fans 🎉
Absolutely!
excelent video as usual. Between these Argb and the P120 pwm wich comes with the Artic Freezer 34 Duo , wich ones you think are better?
Thankyou dude Your Video really helped me out. You just Earned a sub
Nice review do you know how many led has each fan?i want to know cause my mobo has 120 led limitation on my argb header thx !
Thanks! Means a lot.
There are 12 in there, so should be good :)
Yesterday i buyed 3x of these 3 packs.. Was hoping to control them on a B350-F board, hopefully it wont be so bad :)
Sorry to disappoint you, but you won't.
I looked up the your Strix B350-F, and apparently you only have 2x 4-pin RGB headers. The Fans are 3-Pin.
So you will need to get an aftermarket controller.
Will i connected two of those to my B550 Aorus Pro MOBO? Is it the Y D G header? Or where should i plug it please?
Yes exactly. The one in the bottom left or top right.
Wait so is it just straight up impossible to mount 3 stacking fans on the front?
If I get 6 of these, will I need anything else to make the tgb glow or make them have better performance?
Does this have the same ~1000 RPM humm like the P12's? If they don't I'll definitely get these regardless of the worse airflow. Thanks!
I think you’re talking about 12/5v rgb.
One is a 3-pin connection and the other one a 4-pin. Just match it with your mobo and you’ll be fine:)
Are they quieter than the Sickleflows?
Hows the airflow of the fan? Hows the airflow performance compared to the arctic p12 pwm?
48.8CFM, everything is explained in the video. Just have a look at the Benchmark section, there they are compared directly to the P12 PWM.
Are more quiet than sickleflow ? I have some rf120 in my case and they perform really really bad and make a lot of noise so i’m in resarch of some other good and quiet fan
No, the Sickleflows are overall a bit quieter than these at any given performance goal. Not a lot, but a bit
Hey man, I've been planing on getting 6 of these fans for my rig! I'm just wondering do I need a PMW/ARGB connector or not? Since they are daisy-chainnable?Thanks a ton for the great review
Hey,
Sound like a good idea^^
Yes, you need an ARGB connector on your mobo to make the RGB shine. Sure they're daisychain-able, but the first one needs to be connected to your mobo.
Discovering the channel and I must say it’s a nice video, great job
I do have a question by the way, I have an msi motherboard more precisely the msi mpg z390 gaming plus who does have the classic 4 pin rgb connector on it but if I were up to buy those fans I wouldn’t be able to use it on them
So what are my possibilities here, would I need to buy their a-rgb hub too ?
And which software those fans are compatible with so you can control them fully ?
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the video:)
Well thats an issue but its solvable.
Arctic even produces one:
www.arctic.de/en/A-RGB-Controller/ACFAN00180A
With that one you can eithet use the ir remote which would allow you to go full rainbow, or switch to the 4-pin from your motherboard and use software.
I read that since you connect it via USB on your motherboard you can fully control the colors with their software later on, like the icue from corsair if I understood well
Isn't that a better solution ?
Found a cute and informative channel :p
Loving it!
Great to hear!
Happy you're enjoying the content :)
Just wondering why you call PWM.... PVM.? Thanks.
What software would you recommend with these fans. I'm new to pc have no idea thanks
The one that your mainboard comes with ^^
I try to avoid any third party RGB/Fan controllers.
Thanks for a really good review
Can you control the color pattern with software?
Do you need a fan hub for 4 if these?
I noticed that the bionix p120 argb is on the performance list, do you plan on doing a review of them?
Actually, the review is already done.
Their review was ment to come out first, but i decided to release this one due to them being newer.
The BioniX P120 will come out next Wednesday :)
@@STSYT Did you notice any motor whine on the bionix p120 argb fans? The one I got had whine at almost every rpm.
No but I had something like that on another fan. I gave the fan blades a good wiggle.
Try pressing it in and pulling it out a couple of times.
I re-wrote the last sentence like 5 times but there is just no way to do it without somebody getting it wrong.
Can you control them with a software? (sorry if you already said it in the video my english isnt best)
Yes, you can just use your MOBO software
Are the lights on these fans customisable? Like can you set a still colour
Yeah sure, just use your mobo-software
@@STSYT ah ok Thankyou great video btw
@@obama2453 Thanks!
Can you daisy chain 3 argb fans into one argb header ? Great video btw 👍
Are the leds in the middle very visible when looking at it from the side?
How did you get the results for the bequiet sw3? The results seem quite high for their specs.
Will this work on the x570 and will be good with a ryzen 7 5800x I don’t want overheating
They will work just fine, but keep in mind that your CPU cooler will make 90% of that cooling. The Case Fans & Case itself are just a helper in this case
Which fans would be better for an 240aio cooler the p12s argb or the cm sickleflow 120? Which of these would be quieter?
I would say the sickleflows are a bit better performing, but the p12’s are way quieter.
I would still go with the p12’s as the performance benefit would not be that big with a good radiator, but the noise will imidiately be noticable.
@@STSYT ok, thanks!!!
@@STSYT and between the p12s argb or the 120bionix argb which do you recommend me?
@@alvaroromero3888 It boils down to performance vs noise.
P12s are quieter and bionix push more aire.
Personally, I would go for the p12 argb as it’s enought air for me, so that I can go quieter
Is there daisy chain for argb on these ventilators too?
Oh i missed it, yea they are sry for stupid question.
everything's fine, hope the video helped you out
does it come with a multiable fan header?
Yes, there is a PWM Splitter at the end of the Fan's cable
@@STSYT thanks
are they controlled by software?
Yes they can be. You can use your motherboards software or some ARGB controller of your choise
can i sync the rgb with my MSI mpg x570 gaming plus.?
I dont really look into temp when buying case fan. With today gpu if for some reason run hot I just undervolt it 😂
That’s also a way of doing things
Hi if motherboard has a 4 pin connector, will fans still work? Is it just the rgb i’ll have a problem with controlling? Thanks
It wont work. Im sorry you need 3 pin argb for these. I think if your mainboard doesnt offers these you should look out for 4pin rgb fans.
@@elstic2318 Ah no worries, thank you for the help
How do you make the rgb rainbow? Via motherboard?
Yes, 3-pin argb
@@STSYT oh okay! What motherboard have you tried it with? Because my gigabyte b450 doesnt have rainbow effect.
Multiple, also a gigabyte. You should have a rainbow mode in RGB Fusion.
Make sure to not use the ‘all components’ mode as this may limit you options to standard RGB
hi, can I use those fans on an aorus b550m with rgb fusion 2.0?
Sure, nothing holding you back
@@STSYT
Thank you, any fan hub that you recommend for these fans?
@@4cCr0 you don’t need one. The PWM and RGB wires are daysichainable. Just stick one into the other like Legos and the first one into your mobo :)
@@STSYT TYVM :D !
I dont know wich one i want, but i think p12 is okay, i dont give a fuck about noise so good for me.
As long as you don’t go for F12’s, everything is going to be fine

Thanks :) I'm happy you're enjoying the content
nice job bro.👍
Thanks! Much appreciated
Sadly I have been disappointed with this brand several times already.... I tried the ARCTIC BioniX F140 and the ARCTIC P14 "Value Pack" and have got an annoying humming noise at certain low RPM's. So maybe as budget fans the arctic brand is OK. But in my opinion be quiet! is the real silence category.
Anyway thanks for this review this was intresting, honest and informative!
Thanks! Thats great to hear:)
I’m sorry about your experience. I can’t say anything about the F140’s but i was really happy with the p14’s.
The humming noise is what i was refering to in the 0db section.
In the past i was always just slapping silent wings into everything. But IMO arctic p12’s are just pushing more for a better price.
1000% silent than my Intel stock cooler 😂😂😂
Just take the fan off. The heatsink alone is propably just as effective😂
@@STSYT true tho ... It's literally shit.. intel should improve its stock coolers..and I was planning to get deepcool gammaxx 400 V2 .. hope it'll be better than that shitty stock cooler
I think we can agree that everythink will be better :p
Bist du deutsch?
