Great video thanks Mike, talking about the Arctic, some people think that the Arctic and the Antarctic are the same....but in fact, they're polar opposites.

I always love how straightforward your videos are! I’m currently using 2 Arctic P12s as exhaust for my Corsair AIO and I was blown away (literally) by how much more efficient they are at moving air than the 2 fans the AIO came with. I’m thinking about replacing the 4 Corsair LL120 RGB fans (3 Intake, 1 rear exhaust) with these Arctic ARGB ones. Thank you again for all your work and the content you produce! I love it
Hi, Mike. The Arctic P12 and P14 have become my favorite fans. I prefer the 12V 4 pin RGB version. As I've said before, I only use a single static color, usually blue, so I only hook up the ground and the blue leads to get the color without installing any software. In regards to the mess of cables, I always cut and splice them together into groups of three so I only have one PWM cable and one RGB cable to connect per 3 fans.
i would prefer to trim the unused connections off, but i think in the back of my mind back to when i trimmed of the molex connections on a bequiet PSU and regretted it straight away when i got fans to test or a case that used the molex for RGB power etc. That episode has left a deep scar
Totally agree, Oletta. Last Aug. I changed from 3 Thermaltake PURELed 12 Red and 1 stock TT cooler (40 CFM) fans to 4 ARCTIC P12 PWM No RGB (56.3 CFM). Config: 2 intake, 2 outtake. My 3 3,5" HDD's are always cool and I've seen a great improvement in the system.
Do you think it's possible to run RGB on 6 of these from a single RGB 12V header? I checked my motherboard manual and it says the header can support 2A while each fan needs 0.2A. I would split the fans by 3 for the fan control itself.
These are unbeatable price to performance wise. I had an offer on my Amazon app, 15 bucks off, and got a pack of 3 for 26 bucks. Can't beat that. Especially considering the 0dB feature is insanely useful for a testbench build which is exactly where these are going. Good video.

Great video, Mike! I bought four of Arctic's P12 PWM PST Slim fans for my mini ITX PC (mainly because I'm not a fan of RGB (no pun intended)) and they are fantastic. They perform great, they're super quiet and the price is very reasonable, at just $8 per fan. Nice timing, Mike, just got these for my PC and man did they help keeping 5600X in decent temps. No more of those high 80s (Celsius) or even low 90s. With the set of three of these fans, my temps, even with the stock cooler, are holding at low 80s at max. Still considering getting better cooler, but for the time being, these fans did miracle to my system.

To answer some of the questions you had at the end of the video Mike. Yes I use the PST, it helps keep things extremely tidy and prefer it that way. PWM with power sharing, and nice RGB, these pretty much hit the mark for anyone wanted a 120mm black rgb fan. I prefer pulse modulation over voltage regulation for RPM because it's supposedly more power efficient because of the 12v not needing to fluctuate. So yeah, totally agree with you, Quiet, nice RGB, PWM, and Power Sharing, really no cons on these fans. Just need more sizes and white versions. Thanks for showing these off, I think you'll agree these are better than Arctic's first shot at RGB.
Awesome, I love my arctic 360 AIO, and those fans are excellent, it's a top performer if I look up some tabs, or even Gamers Nexus tests, but I wanted to give them some lights, thinking about getting all my case fans an upgrade, hoping I wouldn't hurt my CPU cooling. This looks perfect, even tho getting 3x140 and 4x120 is not the cheapest, it's better than anything else. Glad I can stick with Arctic. 👍👍

They look really good! If I wasn't committed to Corsair they would be something I would definitely use! And I would definitely daisy-chain them in sets of 3. On Scan they are £34 for 3... Thanks, Bill.
@@mikesunboxing P14 PWN PST A-RGB, fantastic price and performance. Noctua i also use in my other rig, i do compose music and noctua has always been amazing. My new rig is for a little of everything, så i wanted it to have some bling bling and still be quality made, so i went for the Arctic on this one. Btw. Arctic also make awesome looking and very effective air Coolers for a very cheap price. I bought an Arctic Freezer i35 A-RGB. That's is amazing for tje price and very effective
Thank you thank you thank you I've got 140 mm version but this video taught me how to connect to my onboard Hub and I don't have to use those other leads. I have a Montech AIR 903 Max case
Mike, I do hope you have still those plastic corners of the tempered glass of your Techware VXR. I have the same model of case, but from Intertech, and those people are advising to keep those corners on the glass panels as they provide protection and relief the tension that may occur while the panels are mounted on the case.
Nice fans and good review Mike but again I think Arctic have missed a trick by having solid black sides on the outer case part. My Lian Li case sits next to me on the desktop and the rad is at eye level...so basically I can't see any effect without bending my head down and looking up. Even the lovely Corsair LL fans used elsewhere in the case (which I can see great from the front) don't have any effect from the side. Hence I used Alpenfohn fans on the rad which have 2 narrow slits that the light comes through and are quite effective....that's all Arctic would have to do...cut one or more slits or even a full translucent window and the light from the "blade joining ring" would be visible from the side.....just a thought.
Since the making of this video, a lot of different addressable PWM RGB fans have hit the market. Some are really spectacular, bright with longer warranty LEDs. Most of the brands are available in the multi fan kits with a fan controller hub to get you started. Arctic ARGB is still the best balance between price, bling and warranty
Will i be able to control the color of those fans from software such as ( RGB fusion ) as stated on the pack, or do i need controllers and stuff like that?
@@mikesunboxing i will be getting a GIGABYTE Z690 GAMING X DDR4, will i be able to control the LED from there without buying extra parts. My question is can i just buy the fans without anything extra and then control them with software installed on my pc.
Hey, thank you for the video, it is nice to have good fans, but it is also important to have a good program to hanbdle them. Would you know a good fan program else then bios?
I actually own this cooler for a while now, I needed a replacement for a MSI 240 AiO fail and spotted this on amazon at a reasonable price, I bought it and wasn't disappointed it performed much better and its keeping my Ryzen 3600 XT cool with temps of 35C idle,55C playing Halo Infinite so i am not complaining with that!, only downside is, its slightly taller than my case, so now i have to buy a bigger one to accommodate it."sigh"😂
I have a couple of the black p12 fans and they are awesome. Really wanting to get the rgb 4 pin set since my motherboard only has a 12v 4 pin connection. Currently I’m having to use a converter and the fans that came with my pc are molex and it’s a cable nightmare. With these it would be so much simplified and I can get rid of 2 unnecessary psu cables.
hey mike im going to be building my very first pc and i got 4 of these fans and arctic liquid freezer ii 240 aio, what hubs do you recommend me to get for them? I dont know a lot about pc's and im kind of nervous to build such an expensive one.
the arctic 10 port is a good place to start, but depends on your motherboard and case etc, feel free to drop in the discord chat to discuss more if you need to
I'm wondering, to save space on the flyleads, wouldn't it make sense to snip off the female connectors - making sure to label each cable as to which pin it is, and then couple all equivalent pins using WAGO connectors, like you'd do in one of your home's junction boxes? Or is this not feasible to do?
sort of but the idea is that when you daisy chain these the ARGB length gets longer and the signal passes through rather than just replicating the signal.
@@mikesunboxing I’d suggest then coupling the original leads into a wago with a lengthier cable which then connects into another wago which acts as the main junction. Like a power strip behind a tv - This is all conjecture though. Never tried it and never seen it tried but interesting thought nonetheless - heck if it works, realistically there’s no reason manufacturers shouldn’t standardise behind such a system.
just bought a couple of the p14s for the front of my fractal case. super excited to try these out! by the way Mike, would you recommend either daisy chaining these into one argb header or just giving each fan its own argb header since i'll be only running two of these and have enough headers to spare? I already have an arctic BioniX as an exhaust and have been more than impressed with how quiet and efficient it is at moving air. Plus i got it dirt cheap from arctic directly on ebay, its astounding how well made and cheap these fans are for how great they perform!
@@mikesunboxing all right thats good to know, thanks Mike! I ended up cancelling my order and instead bought the 3 pack of these fans for just 3 bucks more lol. An Arctic rep also told me I can use these with other branded fans so I cant wait to try that out with a cooler master argb fan I have in my case already.
Oh darn, these look amazing. Although I'm unfortunately too used to the chinese RGB kits, with a remote controller for quick changes and the simplicity of the cable management: one cable per fan instead of two. Not to mention that I would need two hubs, one to connect every single PWM cable to and the little one also by Arctic that has a little remote with it to connect all the RGB cables; I'm not really that trustful of running 5 fans of one single connector and daisy-chain them all.
Just got 4 of these fans at Scan. Instead of buying the 3pack plus 1, I bought 4 singles for £39.94. I think they're on a one-day deal but the stocks are low.

I'm about to start my build, and I noticed I have the same case, cooler, and fans as you. I was thinking about where/how to orient the fans and radiator. Because the case has a glass front, I was thinking of having 3x intake top and bottom, then exhaust 1 rear fan, then the radiator blowing out of the front/side. Is that what you're doing on yours? Hello. I use a P12 ARGB on my CPU cooler. As a fan, it is excellent, but the lighting effects reset to a static blue color each time after restarting my PC. Hi there! Need little bit of help with something. I wanna buy 4 x Arctic P14 PWM PST A-RGB and 2 x Arctic P12 PWM PST A-RGB, since I wanna be able to change colors and speed of the fans, would Arctic A-RGB Controller and Arctic case Fan Hub do the job via RGB Control Master software? Will those controllers be enough for those 6 fans regarding speed and color of it? And I forgot to mention that I have Asus B550-F Gaming motherboard! Thanks in advance!
you will possibly need a ARGB hub with enough ports for all the devices, and i would maybe look at using a splitter on a couple of headers so the 14cm fans are one speed and the 120s another speed
@@mikesunboxing I've managed to get the rgb working but because 2 of the headers are plugged into the motherboard one of the fans has no power because I've ran out of connectors.
White version doesn't exist (hopefully yet), but 140 mm version was released recently. However, AFAIK, for the time being, it is only available on Arctic's own eshop and the price for single fan, € 19.99, seems a little too much. However, the set of three is priced decently at € 43.99. Not sure, however, if they are delivering outside of Europe.
I could really use some help. So, I have a Z690 Tomahawk MB and Phanteks P500a case, I want to swap out the stock 3 pin ARGB fans for 4 pin RGB PWM fans and daisy chain the 6 fans then connect to my 4 pin 12v RGB header and be able to sync everything, hopefully without frying my MB. The problem is that will be too many fans on 1 header, and only other choice is to use the 3 pin but different voltage and those are for ARGB, not RGB and understand they shouldn't be mixed due to different voltage. So how can I safely connect 6 RGB 4 pin PWM/PST fans to my 4 pin RGB header?

@@mikesunboxing I was wrong. I thought ARGB could not be a static colour, that put me off. But seems dependant on software, and after checking Mystic Light, it does include a static option. So I could then daisy chain 2 ARGB fans up to each of my 5v ARGB headers allowing me to add 6 fans and control it through MB software. Could I even put 6 fans on 2 headers and would leave me 1 spare for maybe a light strip ?
yes that is becoming a common theme with fans these days. Seems the 30-40 pounds mark for 3 fans is becoming more acceptable in the market, rather the the 15-25 it used to often be.

They look really good! If I wasn't committed to Corsair they would be something I would definitely use! And I would definitely daisy-chain them in sets of 3.
On Scan they are £34 for 3...
Thanks, Bill.

Thank you thank you thank you I've got 140 mm version but this video taught me how to connect to my onboard Hub and I don't have to use those other leads. I have a Montech AIR 903 Max case
Glad it helped
Mike, I do hope you have still those plastic corners of the tempered glass of your Techware VXR. I have the same model of case, but from Intertech, and those people are advising to keep those corners on the glass panels as they provide protection and relief the tension that may occur while the panels are mounted on the case.
no i think a through those away almost straight away, i'll have to check the box, got me thinking now
Nice fans and good review Mike but again I think Arctic have missed a trick by having solid black sides on the outer case part.
My Lian Li case sits next to me on the desktop and the rad is at eye level...so basically I can't see any effect without bending my head down and looking up.
Even the lovely Corsair LL fans used elsewhere in the case (which I can see great from the front) don't have any effect from the side.
Hence I used Alpenfohn fans on the rad which have 2 narrow slits that the light comes through and are quite effective....that's all Arctic would have to do...cut one or more slits or even a full translucent window and the light from the "blade joining ring" would be visible from the side.....just a thought.
yes a little light bleed through on the sides would be a great addition
Since the making of this video, a lot of different addressable PWM RGB fans have hit the market. Some are really spectacular, bright with longer warranty LEDs. Most of the brands are available in the multi fan kits with a fan controller hub to get you started. Arctic ARGB is still the best balance between price, bling and warranty
yeah these really are still the ones to beat

okay i'll see what i can do
Will i be able to control the color of those fans from software such as ( RGB fusion ) as stated on the pack, or do i need controllers and stuff like that?
you will need a controller on your motherboard or a separate one, RGB fusion only talks to a controller on the gigabyte board if it has one
@@mikesunboxing i will be getting a GIGABYTE Z690 GAMING X DDR4, will i be able to control the LED from there without buying extra parts.

I didn't know you could daisy chain them hahahaha so I brought the connecter for them 😅
How many of them can you daisy chain togheter?
It is likely more dependent on the hub or header you are using but safely three from any header
Would these plug into the ID-COOLING HA-02 FAN HUB?

Hey, thank you for the video, it is nice to have good fans, but it is also important to have a good program to hanbdle them. Would you know a good fan program else then bios?

Not but you can daisy chain about 3 or 4 to one header
Great! Thank you for answering ;)
Are they compatible with RGB FUSIÓN 2.0 right? (Aorus rgb software)
Good time to treat yourself to a new case

Question, can I use these fans to replace the fans on the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo!?
yes you can
@mikesunboxing thank you! I'll definitely buy these this week!
I have a couple of the black p12 fans and they are awesome. Really wanting to get the rgb 4 pin set since my motherboard only has a 12v 4 pin connection. Currently I’m having to use a converter and the fans that came with my pc are molex and it’s a cable nightmare. With these it would be so much simplified and I can get rid of 2 unnecessary psu cables.
yes it would tidy things up quite a bit
hello may i ask what hub are you using for those rgb fans? i just bought 6 pcs of those but i cant make work the rgb leds
i used a gamemax rgb hub (we reviewed it ages ago) or you can buy really cheap sata powered ones on amazon with 10 ports for about £10
How are these fans for airflow in my case ? Or is it only for radiators?
they are hybrid fans and suitable as either.
hey mike im going to be building my very first pc and i got 4 of these fans and arctic liquid freezer ii 240 aio, what hubs do you recommend me to get for them?
Like a power strip behind a tv -
This is all conjecture though. Never tried it and never seen it tried but interesting thought nonetheless - heck if it works, realistically there’s no reason manufacturers shouldn’t standardise behind such a system.
Are they ok as case fans in an air cooled build?
yes i have them as case fans in the pc sat behing me in the videos, nice and quiet and more a lot of air
Will the lights work if u just plugin the 4pin cable ?
no sorry
@@mikesunboxing okay good to know :)
just bought a couple of the p14s for the front of my fractal case. super excited to try these out! by the way Mike, would you recommend either daisy chaining these into one argb header or just giving each fan its own argb header since i'll be only running two of these and have enough headers to spare? I already have an arctic BioniX as an exhaust and have been more than impressed with how quiet and efficient it is at moving air. Plus i got it dirt cheap from arctic directly on ebay, its astounding how well made and cheap these fans are for how great they perform!
i would daisy chain them, also by doing that the ARGB loop expands giving a more interesting effect
Can you connect 3 of these fans "PWM+Argb", if you have 1 system fan headers & 1 Argb header left in motherboard?
yes you can daisy chain them
do you have to connect each fan[ Arctic p12 pwm pst co ] with another or can you just use your own fan hub and leave the PWM connector out ?
yes either way
Oh darn, these look amazing. Although I'm unfortunately too used to the chinese RGB kits, with a remote controller for quick changes and the simplicity of the cable management: one cable per fan instead of two. Not to mention that I would need two hubs, one to connect every single PWM cable to and the little one also by Arctic that has a little remote with it to connect all the RGB cables; I'm not really that trustful of running 5 fans of one single connector and daisy-chain them all.
yeah i ran 6 inwin fans daisy chained on the CPU header and when on full load it would crash the system
Just got 4 of these fans at Scan. Instead of buying the 3pack plus 1, I bought 4 singles for £39.94. I think they're on a one-day deal but the stocks are low.
thanks for the heads up Clive

I'm about to start my build, and I noticed I have the same case, cooler, and fans as you. I was thinking about where/how to orient the fans and radiator.
