This review was exactly what I'd hoped to find. Thorough, addressed the questions I had. Excellent demonstration of how connections worked, removing a lot of the unknown. SO I clicked the Amzn link in the description and ordered them. Just what I was looking for and you're review was tremendously helpful. Thanks!...oh, and subscribed =)
Arctic literally makes the best Fans especially for Liquid cooling and while a tad louder than a Noctua in some areas they far out perform any other brand. Arctic has been my go to fans for years their P series fans for Radiators and F series for Case airflow work flawlessly. I would think with the the 30mm width they could have made these a Dual loop so I am disappointed there, but can't wait till they make the F-140 variant as that's the size I use but will grab these for my 360 Arctic freezer AIO. Great video thanks!!!! Love Arctics products as they are the best value to great performance cooling people in the industry.
Great Video! I love Arctic's fans, and these are kinda cool. The extra thickness is very interesting, but it its nice to see other fan makers trying to limit cable clutter with different solutions. Corsair needs to step up their game and also cut the prices some. :)
Thanks for the review. My motherboard only has RGB 12V connectors so a 3 pack of these with controller will make excellent case fans and at a good price too!
Dude your camerawork is spot on, god damn! Also I think they should have counterbored the screw holes in order to accomodate to the standardized radiator screws. Not even a hard thing to do.
Super informative, but do you know the starting voltage of the Arctic Bionix P120 argb fan, because I'm searching for something with a low starting voltage, preferably something that operates at at least 3.3 volts, for my psu.
A bit of feedback: Inserts with fan operation sound recording change too quickly, it is difficult to quickly assess the sound features of each fan model
For 60$ msrp on the 3-pack the sound is awful! I bought 2 pieces of 3-packs of the Alpenföhn WingBoost 3 ARGB High-Speed fans, costed me about 84$ per pack (168$ total for 6), the ARGB leds look way better, they are not thickbois so they fit way better, their sound is a nice deep humm (not an annoying buzz like these and CM's MF120s..), and the CFM is way higher too. You should review these fans for sure! I'm all about Alpenföhn products since I discovered these puppies, they also make nice CPU aircoolers and I heard their AIOs are insane. Nice video though, liked all the details, you put in good work! Definitely liked and subscribed, good to see people like you amongst the tech community!
Where I live these are 2/3 of the price of the Lian Li AL120... I don't think that's competitive, because if someone can buy this, they surely can pay a bit more and get the real premium product. At around half price I'd have considered them.
Pressure optimized is when they perform better by pushing or pulling air thru tight spaces like heatsinks and radiators. But if a fan is airflow optimized, it performs better with no constriction, such as case fans.
Bought some of these for my sisters build and I really liked them. Only issue I had was trying to figure out how to hook up the rgb as the mobo I uses only had the 12v header and I had no idea what way to put the cable on. I never got it working but eventually my sister got the remote working with them. At least pwm control works. I am super happy they came out with a argb fan though, love their products and have been wanting to replace some noisy fans on my rig.
@@VincentAndre_HK Good to know. Although I have a concern from many P-series owners RE: Humming nose at certain RPM ranges. Are you aware of this & are Arctic doing anything about it? (Bad batch maybe??)
I got these on launch night... love em to death but the fact that they did not supply 35mm radiator screws meant I had to wait till i ordered these seperately. I contacted arctic customer services and waited over 2 weeks for a reply. terrible service, eventually got a apology from the head honcho himself and decided to just buy the screws myself. they perform well, and ive gone from a cable mess to one elegeant cable connecting all 4 of these i have daisy chained together.
I think, that option of connection is good, but all crash by the unstable light of the coolers, which shows them as a budget product. Please, correct me, if you disagree.
This really does cover a lot of ground. Have you had a look at Alpenföhn fans before? Specifically the Alpenföhn Wing Boost 3 ARGB PWM-Fan, 120 mm 3-pack? The Europeans seems to rate them (most reviews are non-English channels).
Awesome video! Well produced and really informative. Is there a way to daisy chain de P120 ARGB to the P12 ARGB included with the Arctic Liquid Freezer II? Thanks.
1. do you think this will work with a cooler master argb/ pwm hub? or any decent argb/pwm hub with software? 2. where did you get that grey stain table top? im looking for one for a desk build lol
Hey, as long as the controller / hub uses the same connectors, your all good 👍 In terms of stain... It actually turned out pretty blotchy and wasn't good at all - so I scratched it with 80-120 grit to create the weathered / beaten pattern before I polyurethaned it 👍 all things considered, I think it turned out okay. Used this: amzn.to/3crvmea
Thank you so much man for your greate job you have done in this video. The 30mm is a problem for me because these fans will touch my cpu fan cables, so it will not fit easily in my case. If i had bigger pc case or bigger dimensions motherboard maybe i wouldn't have this problem . So thank you very much you help me a lot. Its kind of sad because i like these fans, but it's ok i will buy something else that fit better to my pc. You are greate man , very good job.
Has anyone put these fans on the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler because that's what I wanted to use them on I would assume so cuz it's the same brand
yeah but you pay 30$ for one fan when for the same price you can get 3 artic fans. plus the corsair one needs a controller as far as i know. you can't daisy chain them
Comparing noise and performance by percentage of speed is stupid. Should do it by rpm. Also do these bionix have the same awful motor noise at 1000rpm as the P12? The P12 is decent for cooling but the hum/whistle at 1000rpm ruins it.
dollar for dollar I think arctic are the best. THE best? no, but dollar for dollar absolutely. if you normalize for sound, and cooling effectiveness. I think the arctic fans are pretty well tied with the rest, but their loudest being at max RPM does say it has more headroom for cooling you wouldn't get with the other brands. the others get to that point and are like "I can't giver her any more captain!" but the arctic steps up and is like... "here, hold my beer, pip squeak"
CoolerMaster's MF120 ARGB is literally sounding the same.. Kinda disliked these fans which have the high-pitched annoying buzz instead of a deep calming humm. These Bionix fans could be really good value but oh man the sound, that can deter a lot from purchasing.
It seems like the resonation issue at certain RPM occurs across all Arctic 120mm fans. But interestingly, P14 works just fine. Not sure what caused the problem.
Wish they have higher static presure ^^Rly love those bionic fans ^^ but i just put in Ek varda 120er evo d- rgb on my LF 240 arctic for better presure ^^
Hi, i tested ek vardar 120 evo on normal AIO size rad and on a thicc (45mm) rad with 20psi or what that number is. and the vardar was the worst fan i had. i think you need a RLY dens rad for getting any use out of them
@@dankone3 If I was into butt plugs you best believe I would buy that, how much money would be saved on Lube. Obviously they make things because people buy them why are you soo worked up, bad day?
Very nice! I'm a bit disappointed by these. They get too loud and the added depth seems to be almost purely to fit in the rgb compared to the Phanteks T30s who actually made the entire fan deeper for insane performance.
Better design with connectivity on the lian li fans, but I think the RGB design on these are much better looking and worth the extra effort especially considering the lower cost.
I am basing my opinion on my personal experience with both. The Arctic Fans don’t lock in place where the Lian Li fans do. I was giving my opinion, not evaluating the video.

If I use the fans as intake, the rgb ring won't be facing in the case, thus rgb is pointless?

And there I was wondering why there's no reply for 4 days...
Do they offer a radiator gasket as Noctua does?
Can these be adapted in any way to the Artic Freezer 34 Esports duo because that would be awesome.
