the shot of whole PC build in 6:22 shows that the fans are blowing the air out from the case? Is that correct? Or only to show how they look? I want to use them in my build and Im wondering how can I place them in front side so that the RGB is visible.
Awesome video as always.! I know this is 3 years old but I got a question for you that I hope you can help with. In the video showing the fans spinning in the case, is the 3 side fans exhaust fans? Otherwise I cant figure out how you got the "pretty" side showing inside the case. Thank you!
Arctic should have made the colour ring more opaque, it's too easy to see the individual leds light up. Oh and there are clearly 12 LEDs, it's fairly easy to count them.
From the manual, you can daisychain up to five of these fans. I wonder if you can up one daisychain connection of five if these fans on one cable & plug said cable into the controller w/out any issues.
Thanks STS! I have the 3-pack & my only real complaint is that the ‘M/B to Fan’ & ‘Fan to Fan’ cables should be longer & that there should be a 2nd ‘M/B to Fan’ cable so that there’s no need for the Controller when you want to install fans in the front & rear of the case. Arctic mentioned to me that they’re working on a solution, so hopefully it’s addressed soon.
I attempted to connect the other fans with the controller in the hope that I can just by-pass the controller and only use the motherboard to control the RGB. However, setting the controller for MOBO mode doesn't seem to work. Connecting a fan directly to the MOBO does work, so the problem is not with the RGB signal from the MOBO. Consequently, it seems I need another M/B to Fan cable. Unfortunately, I will have to buy a single fan just to get another M/B to Fan cable since the proprietary cables are not available to be purchased separately. In fact, none of the cables can be purchased separately. It has been one year since the product was released and these product problems still exist. In addition to not having a white color setting on the remote there is no dark or off setting. Since the manual says that control information would be overlayed on top of any color data from the controller, this means that it will be difficult to match the controller connected fans with the MOBO connected fans.
@@STSYT ok so i have them installed and i was going to use the 5v 3pin rgb cable but it’s to short and won’t reach the mobo. So I decided to go head and install it with the fan controller that comes in the box and from there i have it connected to the mobo with the 12v 4pin. So i was trying to sync or change the color with my mobo but it doesn’t sync or appear on my aura synce software. I have a asus x470 f gaming mobo.
@@TRIPLECORONAS Okay, does the RGB comming from the controller work? If yes, have you made sure to set the controller into MOBO mode by pressing the top-middle button on the remote?
I know that there are MOBO software's which allow to do this with some sort of a "linked" mode for every RGB device connected. I'm just not sure for Aura. But you should be able to set the same mode for both devices as long as you're using an "RGB" mode. Keep in mind that something like 4pin RGB doesn't allow for rainbow modes. You'll need to set a mode which can be done by both.
I can't tell you the exact size. The ones I used are the ones which NZXT included in their Kraken X53 RGB AIO. But you should be able to get a pack of screws at your local Hardware store. Just take your normal Radiator screw and look for a slightly longer "M3" screw.
They are 35mm in length and the thread is 6-32. But if you contact Arctic Support they will send you some for free. I have no idea why they do not include them for as it would make life so much easier. It took ages for mine to arrive to Australia. So I ended up going to a bolt place and purchasing some stainless steel ones and some washers. All you have to make sure of. Is that once the bolt is inside the fan. Measure the length sticking out as it shouldn't be longer than 5mm. If it is longer than 5mm as was the case with the bolts I bought. You have to use a washer to pack them out so as they do not touch the radiator. However if you get the ones from Arctic you do not have to worry about this. Hope this helps.
Yes definitely. If you favor noise -> p12 argb If you want performance -> p120 bionix Though keep in mind that on the global performance/noise ranking, both sets are on a pretty good spot. The bioniX rgb just come with way more overhead
@@STSYT Thanks a lot! I already ordered a couple of P12 A-RGB after watching your review on them. Now about the fans themselves, I don't know about pricing in other countries, but at least in Greece the P12 A-RGB is about 38-39€ for the 3-pack, while the BioniX are about 15€ more. So I think the P12s offer more value.
Cool! That honors me :p Sounds about right, here it’s about 10€ more. But you have to consider that the P120’s also come with that controller and the propriatery connection system. The P12’s are just plain awesome fan without anything special to drive up the price.
You will be able to control it with your motherboard RGB software or any other "open" software. iCue however is a Corsair-made software for their own devices. I doubt they support any other software. Isn't magic light the stuff you use on your phone to control those WIFI-RGB controllers?
@@STSYT Thanks, STS. I think many would be interested in the performance/connectivity/cable kit comparison. Hopefully more similar modular kits are released for you to also compare the Arctic/Lian Li to. The messy ARGB/PWM cabling is what puts many people off about the old fan bundles. These are much more user friendly, but also decent performers on the case of Arctic anyway. Hopefully more big brands follow suit.
You may have an accent but your english is otherwise pretty good. Review itself is also pretty good, no complaints. It's a shame that they couldn't fit the LED ring into the existing frame of the P12, noise is sometimes just as important as temps.
Great quality, nice fans but at $22 bucks a piece is really expensive compared to their other offerings. I'll stick with their P12 PWM PST ARGB 0DB fans at $13 a piece. This is out of their budget realm of products.
Thank you for this detailed video, your feedback help us improve service for everyone. 😉 If you need anything else do not hesitate.

The b-roll/camera may not reflect them as good as they actually look.
Build in and from a meter away you can’t really see the individual leds.
I just wonder how they look from the back vs from the front in terms of colors

The second M/B to Fan cable seems like a pretty good idea. That way you could even let them spin different speeds. Haven't thought about that yet

Have you covered Fractal Design Prisma AL-12 PWM RGB 120mm fans?
Not yet
12:20 what case is it? thanks
Hey, nice quality review. Would you recommend these over be quiet!'s LIGHT WINGS 120mm PWM high-speed? I mostly value rgb quality.
1 year late but bq's light wings are terribly loud, especially the high speed variant. In my opinion their RGB is also dimmer than Arctics.
Does anyone know if the mail to mail adapter is included in the individual fan ?
I am having trouble syncing these fans with the controller to my motherboard
Where's the issue? I'll try to guide you through it

Nice. They have taken the Lian Li fan chaining system and improved it. Progress. Also cheaper.
Until now I never saw Lian Li's system in action, though judging from the product page it looks a bit more complicated
I think they may also be better performing fans than the Lian Li?
Someone should compare these two modular ARGB fan kits. Hint hint @STS 😏

These are not Budget fans. The ore fills the more money just like GPU's and such.
