I've been using the Silent Wings 3 for a year and a half now, and they're just awesome. I don't care about RGB (hell, I specifically went out of my way for a non-rgb build), and my tower is tucked away in a corner obscured by a monitor, so I don't see any orange labels either. But I'm glad the option is there now for those who want it, because from a pure performance perspective, these are worth having, so not having lack of RGB holding anyone back is great.

Too noisy for me. Swapped them for Noctua A12x25s for great results.
Noctua mounting is also way better. With beQuiet you have flimsy, easy to break, plastic lock that holds swappable mounting pads in place. With Noctua there’s no swapping, no chance to render fan useless due to tiny plastic piece getting hurled off somewhere; instead, you get silicone plugs to use through regular screw holes. Chances are, those would make silent wings quieter too.

For a bit of clarity for the ‘high speed’ variation. You can get non HS 120mm and a HS version of 140. Supposedly the HS is designed for radiator/tower/etc use and the non-hs is designed to be standard chassis fans

At full load they sound like a gentle ocean breeze type thing and they're actually quite nice to listen to, and when the system is idling they hardly make any noise at all. Glad they're finally making their way into the RGB space even though I wouldn't pick up any RGB fans for my current build. I do wish they had RGB on their Pure Loop AIO series so I could match it to the rest of my purple/black color scheme, but having that white accent ring on the CPU block and a few other white accents around the case and on my desk it actually looks quite nice.

It's incredibly important to me!! Keep fan reviews coming because those folks hopefully read-in on things like this and take feedback. I have an issue with the sticker as well. BeQuiet needs to apply some of that to the color scheme 😋. I think they should make the stickers chrome to stay color neutral while reserving brand identity and keeping the item premium. If they and other brands can find a way, like Lian Li with the SL 120s that im rocking, to further minimize cables, that would be even better!!

I agree to a point about the be quiet logo being in orange. Yes the colour may limit you customer base due to the scheme the user wants, but there is still something to be said about brand recognition. It is similar to the noctua brown issue, where it goes with almost nothing, but everyone can look at it and know exactly what brand you are repping. I'm normally an RGB fan, but my CPU fan died a while back and fell in love with the sleek look of their black Pure Rock 2. I installed it and have been pleased with how quiet it is even at full blast. I've often wondered how an RGB version would look, but was afraid to know because it would be very easy to ruin their sleek appeal.
Seeing these, I'm 50/50 and quite literally so. The front ring looks almost gaudy with how large it it's and how it contrasts so much with the otherwise blackout design. The back, though, magnifique! Now that's how you accent a blackout design with some color. If they had that kind of minimalist light ring on both sides, Christmas would be coming early for me.

    I'm using their 500DX case, DarkRock Slim cooler, 3x120 SilentWings3 and 2x140 SilentWings3 and couldn't be happier.
Like you mentioned: they can get audible at high speed but just make a low humming sound which (for my liking) is perfectly fine.
Also worth noting is that BeQuiet! has 3 lines of products. Ranging from Essential over Premium to Hig-End.
These LightWings are 'merely' their Essential line and 1st attempt of adding aRGB to a fan. How humble of them, right?. :-)
Can't wait for them to start developing a Silent-Light lineup!

I always go for function first. If these perform as well as the silent wings 3 fans I have then I will definitely get them if I ever want to go the RGB route.

I prefer performance before noise since i mostly use my headphones and dont tend to hear my computer lol. But I like how tasteful the rgb is. Im not the craziest for how the transparent slits in the back are tho, i think it would have worked better if the slits in the back were designed more faded? Almost has if they were fading starting from the sides. Overall, to have a fan that performs well and is silent, these are definitely in my cart!

Helpful vid! I have a black and orange BeQuiet tower with the stock fans but have been thinking about adding some RGB. Glad BeQuiet has made these since they'll fit my theme perfectly!
For fan shopping, noise is number 1 for me since my gaming rig is also my music recording/production machine. My studio room is small, and I don't want my fan noise bleeding into my condenser mic.

YES JAY!! exactly my thoughts, these companies putting solid permanent colours on their stuff is a bad idea, i will honestly avoid a product for my build if it has a colour on it that im not wanting in my case. they are losing a big chunk of the marke just ecause of that one tiny thing.

Thanks for the heads up Jay. I have a BeQuiet 801 case with some tasteful RGB on my AIO, 3080 Rog Strix graphics card and my RAM but not on my BeQuiet fans of which I have 4. Win win for me.

The RGB lighting is always impressive; that is when you can actually see it. My Alienware 38 inch monitor has beautiful RGB lighting, but it's on the backside of the stand! I told my friend about the excellent lighting on the monitor. I also told him that I needed to turn the monitor around to enjoy it.

I haven't actually been excited by new fans in a while. I have my NZXT Aer RGB 2 fans and love them. But these Be Quiet fans are pretty great looking. I actually hate the fact that a lot of LED fans where the lights run around the circumference of the housing are completely one-sided(literally). These are great in any spot and they look fairly low profile too.

    Nice walkthrough.
For myself RGB is something I try to avoid in my computer for two reasons. I don't like the blinky lights and second I don't want to pay for something that I will not see (my computer is on the other side of the wall so that I don't need to see or hear it).
Also the quieter the fan is the better for my tastes, it of course still needs to fulfill it's function but after that it is the most silent one that gets my purchase.Price is only an option if the manufacturer wants ridiculous money for it (for comparison Noctua prices are OK )
