Stuart Duncan is one of the most genuine men in this world. He has saved lives, encouraged people to talk and learn to read / write. We need more people like him in this world.
Autcraft is by far the best thing we have experienced at helping our child just play and be herself. The other kids, buddies and admins are so supportive and it makes the best community to be a part of. It is autsome !
When i clicked on this video, i didn't expected it to be about Minecraft or autism. I guess its a lucky coincidence that i play Minecraft and am autistic. This really shocked me and makes me kind of happy for other kids with autism since they won't be too much effected by cyberbullying.
I wish there was a server like this I could play on as a child. I'm very happy that it is available to children now - it feels like a very hopeful sign.
This is all nice, but if they learn it in the internet, they might face trouble in real life when actually encountering other humans. The communication is 01, no mimic and gestures. Other than that it's incredible what you created, you can really see, that autism shocked you and now you want to help others because you know how hard it is to deal with. People like you, that suffered in a big way are always a joy to see - they know the true meaning of love and kindness. Big thumbs up!
You're correct about encountering people in public. Autcraft isn't intended as a replacement for real-world social interaction or therapy. What Autcraft does is give the players a space where they can communicate with others without having to worry about being bullied because of their autism (or for any other reason, really). There are many kids on Autcraft who are non-verbal, but can communicate very clearly and eloquently through chat. The environment of Autcraft gives them an outlet and a way to make friends. Through positive interactions in Autcraft, they can build confidence that the negative interactions they often have in the real world can all too easily strip away. Knowing that there is a place where they are accepted and can share their frustrations, worries, hopes, and excitement with friends who understand them can improve the effectiveness of the therapy and other assistance they get away from the computer.
i don't have autism but the ppl on the 1st existing(bcuz normal sounds offensive) servers are really annoying. there jist like 123 for hot gf or bf. and 123 for 6 with a guy/girl in _[An area on the map]_. And im just like. r u here for minecraft or to online dates?
Probably the wrong place to say it, but autist people should not live. What people call love and humanity are just really intricate instincts and neuro-connections, but still, they are sentient and for some reason i am happy that they can get help like this...
Stuart -- you are awesome man! You have built an amazing community!
Thinknoodles hi

I have a whole new respect for Minecraft
GreenSpitt Games mincraft has always been a good game , but with its popularity came a toxic community :/
Ozilou TFM Id say it has possibly the least toxic community in gaming.
Sad thing his creator is a total dick.

Wow. I mean, good job with the server, but having an article about you in BuzzFeed is rather bad thing.
SirReii No, I think it's not a problem. I that videos like "Boyfriend sees menstruation blood for first time" nails the coffin.
