Me too actually! When I first moved to the U.S., I didn't speak a word of English. However, all the video games were in English so I ended up learning all that English without even realizing it. - Z

Nothing is completely good or bad. But sometimes the bad outweights the good for most people and that's how something is deemed harmful. Like Alcohol. And anything that can cause addictions really. I'm not addicted to gaming but I have a similar addiction. Novels and animes or movies . I wasted my whole life on them . I learned English . But It got too much. When I quit for 4 years in college. I managed to turn my life around and graduate with a good grade and sound foundation. Unlike what I did at school where I just show up and cram before an exam. It's true that some people's circumstances will make gaming or escapism in general the best option for them. But when you find something else you must do , and you don't bec. excapism is so much more fun and easy . Then you have a problem.
It's late, so I bookmarked your site for later. I'll be playing "Loving Life" eventually. I'm also going to recommend the game to gamers here on RUclips, just so they may hopefully spread your story to others.

Oh man, Lifeless Planet was such a good experience for me. Also, i learned English through games. I did not have one hour of English classes in school and yet i speak pretty well english. My writing may not be on par, but most of the time, it gets the message through.
A school shooting game will be out later this year. As a simulation for school administrators to prepare for real life event. Maybe games do save lives?
The best way to learn is by doing the things you’re trying to learn. The concept of “transfer” (that you can learn skills in one context and then apply them in another) has been scientifically disproven. I’m glad this guy had video games when he was sick, but trying to turn them into educational tools is just pandering to a society that needs everything to be entertaining.

Games are the reason Ive got so good grades in school. And that I matured so fast, due to talking to grown ups online.
