No it totally can be used as hacking, just not in the way you are thinking about it. DDoSing can exposed vunerablities in systems which can be translated into a "hack" or an injection of code ( think SQL injection ) or take down firewalls block data. TLDR; DDoSing can lead to a hacking but isn't hacking.
GorgeousFortress DDoSing is one of the many ways to crack software. It can expose security issues but in itself it's by definition NOT hacking it's cracking. I know you probably know this but i'm throwing it out there for the people who don't know.
Techie Todd True, it's not a crack in itself it's a tool that can be used to crack servers by probing a certain subset of the code exposing potential holes.
Me too! I'm used to literally snatching them and throwing them in spider webs while they're still alive. I have big vases at home that have long legs living in them. Black widows too but I catch those
Oh.. I think some of you missed the point. Hacking does not necessarily mean messing with computer coding and stuff. Hack=making devices do something they're not intended to do. The laser is created that way.
It is funny how this guy would be called a weirdo and creep in any other situation. But because he is put on stage by TED, he seems to be a comedian. This guy is real peepz. Way more real than every single audience person.
I wish I could say that profession and personality are completely unrelated, but unfortunately where I live stereotypes still affect which courses students choose. We have a problem with gender equality in IT here because there aren't enough girls choosing IT
xbb1024 It really depends on the people, I just don't think many of them are interested. We have 40 students and a total of 2 women, no on hassles them just many don't seem interested in technology. Then again maybe I'm stereotyping right now :\
xbb1024 Wishnu Grover wisch you. Grover thought you were not muppet. How would you have problems with a female, if you do not even have a gender yourself!
xbb1024 I believe you meant "there are too many males choosing IT". Why do females have to choose something just because "too many" men are doing it? Good lord I'm sick of this whole gender argument bull crap. Women aren't oppressed. If they haven't figured out that they can do anything they want, then that is their own problem. If they have figured out that they can, and they choose to not do IT, then it isn't some major problem that requires millions of hours to brainwash females into doing IT.

Unless I am mistaken the video doesn't actually "shows us how it's done"
Sure it does. With a lots of electronic devices.
@@ivan-Croatian Puts on a lot of show claiming it can be done, nothing more. Maybe he did do all that, maybe it was all a setup.
Hacking is literally using machines to intervene signals
@@r6u356une56ney Any good electronics engineer can do most of the things he mentions.
@@r6u356une56ney Definitely not a setup, it's super easy to do all of this and literally exactly how he said. Might've left one or two details on how to set up specific things out (just to save time) but definitely real.
As a lady that has gone through some share of emotional and psychological abuse from a narcissist i have learnt to run away when I see any traits of dishonesty and selfishness but sometimes you can’t really know until it happens and I discovered a way to find out before I become a victim again , I was cheated on and betrayed by my partner and blamed myself who his promiscuous behavior until I hacked his device and read through his chat and social media account before I discovered I was being played by someone I gave my totality to , really we have to be wise and know who to give our undying love and respect to
Only few will understand this but I advice and admire anyone that choose to fight it and free themselves from psychological abuses to contact the hacker to help you understand your situation send your requests to the email address below

simple.. hackers love to hack.. once they have achieved it they get bored and move onto something new :) . If nobody else picks it up and runs with it then that is it..

I feel like it's either intentional, or, he lives a life where everyone is constantly asking him to deep dive into something unexpected he swooshed past (because they are like, wait, wtf), and the only way he can ever get to a final point in life in technical hack related conversations is to always put up a boundary on what will be shown now vs later.

tfw people think DDoSing counts as hacking.
feelsbadman
No it totally can be used as hacking, just not in the way you are thinking about it. DDoSing can exposed vunerablities in systems which can be translated into a "hack" or an injection of code ( think SQL injection ) or take down firewalls block data. TLDR; DDoSing can lead to a hacking but isn't hacking.
The people that think it it hacking in itself are the ones that think they can do it by using ping in a cmd lol
GorgeousFortress DDoSing is one of the many ways to crack software. It can expose security issues but in itself it's by definition NOT hacking it's cracking. I know you probably know this but i'm throwing it out there for the people who don't know.
Molo mono ddos doesn't do anything remotely close to cracking software. It just keeps the server overwhelmed fetching and processing instruction sets.
Techie Todd
True, it's not a crack in itself it's a tool that can be used to crack servers by probing a certain subset of the code exposing potential holes.

So this guy is like a IT stand up comedian of some sort? Lol
All is very far-fetched, I do CSE and half the people I know don't even have basic social skills, let alone the ability to be comedians.
Then again maybe I'm stereotyping right now :\
xbb1024
Wishnu Grover wisch you.
