    You think your wireless and other technology is safe? From Blue Tooth to automobile remotes, PCs, and "secure" credit cards, Hacker extraordinaire shows how nearly every secure system is vulnerable.
    In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

      I am not following you. A guy who think he can see what you watch on your hotel by listening to an infrared receiver aka photo diode? He seem to have some concepts but missing the details. Reading your card number using a computer is not hacking, the number is printed on the card that he is holding in his hand. As a matter of fact the CVV is printed on the card, but is not in the data. You can do card not present transactions if you have the CVV, and address in the US, but need to do a challenge response to the card to do a card present transaction which he did not and cannot demonstrate. One of the car keys that was in the photo I know for a fact used rolling codes, so the code can only be used once (practically), so replay attacks do not apply. These are pretty long codes that cannot be guessed and can only be transmitted once per second, so you have 3600 codes per hour out of billions to guess. No one code works for all. Most of what he talks about looks like stuff he has heard, or people he knows, not first hand experience, unless he just chose poor examples. Yes all those things are Crack able one way or another, but most not viable or useful. Malaria sounds interesting but one little detail again is missing, the energy of the laser falls exponentially over distance, which is why we do not have lasers burning intruders, terrorists, or prey animals on farms of farmers or governments who can afford much more than a Playstation. It is interesting thoughts, but not very useful... Other than in movies.

      Cole Slaw When everyone say "why?" Great innovators have always said "Why not?"(I'm not a great innovator BTW)
      Hackers are obviously strategic thinkers who also think outside the box. Researchers(my wife is one) are generally left brained, process minded people. A cure for cancer is allusive because the cancer hides itself from our immune system. Sense hackers are great at bringing down the defensives of highly secure technologies, why can't their methods be incorporated with that of researchers.
      Crazier things have been done.

      Cestarian Inhabitant You can state as many basic axioms as you like, it changes nothing. I'm fine with programming on any operating system. Granted, it's possible to make Linux do what you want, but it's certainly not a requirement, and it's entirely dependent on the activity you're doing; therefore, using an open source OS isn't a requirement and you haven't proven why it would be. Keep trying, dolt.

    • @Saenayil
      @Saenayil 9 лет назад +7

      Cestarian Inhabitant Are you actually trying to argue that hackers need to manipulate their computer OS in order to hack? Give me a break lol
      OS engineering is incredibly difficult and has very little to do with 'hacking' unless you are designing/securing an OS, or looking for local system vulnerabilities. I see no reason why you should ever modify your own OS in order to hack external target systems.

      Very educative video, more light needs to be shed on ethical hacking as well. An experienced hacker offered me his service through the deep web. Ever since I have been finding unsual way around everything tech.
      This hacker executed various tasks for me based on Web ( HTML, PHP, SQL, APACHE), C/C++, Assemble, Delphi, 0day Exploits, highly persornalized Trojans and boots and DDoS. You can hire him for any kind of website hacks, phone hack or phone spying, email hacks and credit card/bank hacks. All you need is to be discrete and text his email
