    THANK YOU FOR BEING SO CLEAR!! I'm new to this craft and I've watched dozens of videos. None have inspired me more. I had no idea that you can use epoxy and mode podge to apply glitter! I only saw mod podge as the adhesive and epoxy as the sealant. I'm getting to work now! 😁😁😁

    Started my first cup, a tiny 16oz. Didn’t even cover the whole cup, a little over half. I got more glitter on me and my floor than I did the cup! 😭 So, messy is an in understatement! Of course, I think had I not sat in the floor at my coffee table I might’ve done a TINY bit better. At least the glitter is gorgeous!

    I am thinking about getting into this as a hobby and I'd have to say that this video is the best tutorial I have seen so far! I do have a few questions, if you don't mink helping me out , please... 1. Can you use plastic/acrylic cup or does it have to be stainless steel? Do you have to seal a rhinestone cup and if so, can you use mod podge to seal or does it require resin? 3. Do you have to seal a glitter cup? Mod podge or resin?

      I’m in love with KS resin and CCDIY they both have great products. But there are plenty of good ones out there. These are just ones I’ve tried and loved. What you will know about me is I’m a loyalist if it works the way I want it to why would I venture out. If it works it works. With epoxy finding each epoxys temperament is important. Each epoxy works and cures differently I say try them all and you will love each for what they bring to the table. Hope is helps. If you try KS resin use code Glittaful for 10% off

      You can seal a cup with mod podge but it doesn’t have the same durability and eventually the design will start to come apart.

    Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. It's definitely educational. I haven't started yet but will keep this in mind. I do have a few "built on" plastic tumblers with the stainless steel on the rim of the tumbler. What would you recommend for this type of tumbler?

    • @GLITTAFULLLC
      @GLITTAFULLLC  4 года назад +2

      Hi thank you for watching! If you’re using for practice that’s fine. I would however encourage you to use the dollar store tumblers like the one in the video so that you can see how properly adhere your design to the cup. Plastic tends to warp a little.

    I wanted to epoxy some pens but I started watching videos about epoxy and now it scares the living life out of me. How do you know that your epoxy has cured completely?

    • @GLITTAFULLLC
      @GLITTAFULLLC  3 года назад +1

      Epoxy can be scary and dangerous if you don’t take the right precautions. I use nitrile gloves. I work in a well ventilated space and I also wear a mask. Each brand has a different dry time and cure time. So you’ll need to check your brands cure time to ensure it’s safe to use and or give to a customer. However the “dry” to the touch also depends on the epoxy brand but it’s usually about 6 hours unless it’s a fast setting resin. Hope that helps. Don’t freak out about using epoxy just be safe. ♥️

      And what about the chunky fine glitter mix? Lol. I’m so mew I’ve never even used resin but I did buy some finally. I’m just still trying to get the most knowledge before I start! Thx

    • @jessicamarsh9779
      @jessicamarsh9779 3 года назад +1

      @@GLITTAFULLLC I actually took the plunge and purchased some. I attempted a couple pens. I have a bathroom that’s upstairs that we use for “storage” that has a window that I used. But it was still really cold outside and I know it said 70* or higher so I used a little heater next to it. The first layer was great! But it was the second layer, I didn’t put the heater far enough back and my pends got to hot and the epoxy was to heavy so they kinda curved 😂. I’m gonna try again this week since it’s warmed up a LOT where I live. The epoxy I got says non-toxic but I still used a mask & gloves.
