Watching your video gave me that extra push to start making tumblers ! I’ve completed my moms cup I made her for Christmas it looks so good 💙
OMG...what a great tutorial! I usually use the epoxy method but I would like to learn the modge podge method also. Thank you
Thank you so much, your videos are so easy to follow and understand. I did order glitter from you. It's gorgeous,
You do a fantastic job of giving all the details of what you are doing!😉👍
Class act! Love watching you both
Best tutorial ever
Thank you for this video!!! Want to try my hand at one of these!!! Best tutorial I’ve found so far.
Thank you for sharing this. Lots of great information/tricks/tips!!! The cup turned out beautiful...but what was really impressive is how you used that glitter and and your work area didn't look like a unicorn exploded on it. LOL!! THAT...IS IMPRESSIVE!! I thought for certain it would happen when you brought out the big jar f glitter...but nope! LOL... Great video!!!
I’m just getting into tumblers.. thank you so much for this video you helped me out.
I love this information i have been looking for so many videos and i finally came up with this one can’t wait to start 😊
You are amazing!! You save my life with the spray adhesive!! I will follow you always!
Beautiful job, congrats!
LOVE this color! ❤️
Thank you! Very informative.
Wow Great Job love the glitter ✨ + you made look so easy
Loooove that color!!!
Lady you are talented.
Hey do you have any ideal as of what I can do,I put 2 layers of modge pod and glitter on my tumbler, and 2 layers of epoxy, and as I was trying to peel the vinyl up to fix it,the modge pod and glitter wanted to come up,and I really don't want to script the tumbler,do you know anything I can do to keep from scripting it
So glad I have all these supplies you used . Thank you for video . I have had a hard time with my mod podge cups then sealing with epoxy . The glitter comes out spotty to me when finished it’s super weird . I know it’s dry when I seal with epoxy can’t figure out my problem . Thank you
You're right, that is a lovely color! You made this look so easy and it turned out beautiful. May I ask how many spinners you have? Multiples make it so much easier to do more at one time. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you so much!! I currently have 12 cup turners :). I’m running out of space! Lol.
@@MissKissKreations Your work is beautiful. I'm new at epoxy and want to know where did you get the cup turner?
I loved your video of the Mod Podge method. But would you please share a video on how to do the plaid tumbler? I would love to learn how to do that! Thank you.
Forgive me if you mentioned this in video and I missed it, but I’ve been watching so many different videos and get confused.....but.....how long should a cup stay on the turner? How long before you can sand without ruining epoxy?
Sorry I’m trying my first glitter tumbler as we speak.
What happens if my glitter dried in clumps because my mod pudge dried to fast for me. Can I sand the glitter to fix it? Thank you for this video. Keep them coming!
Thank you for this video!
Can you make a video on your tumblers? How you made it, etc. 🤗
Barb Randazzo I purchase all tumblers from stainless steel depot or Wal-Mart. I try to make a video weekly on techniques and crafts for tumbler designs. :)
Hi. Does the mod podge method for applying glitter work if you want to do something like your snowflake tumbler using vinyl?
Beautiful
Beautiful!
If your not putting a decal on the tumbler, how many coats of epoxy should you do?
Hi, thanks for your videos. I have 2 questions and hope you can help me. #1 if the first time I put the glitter it did not cover the entire tumbler, can I do a second time? #2 if so how long I have to wait in between glitter coats? THANKS
Yes you may wait and about 45 minutes-1 hour. This all depends on how thick you apply your mod podge
Iridescent or translucent? Transparent, maybe? Beautiful cup. Love that rose gold glitter!
That color! ❤️
What do you use to spin them?
Thank you for the video! This is my 3rd attempt of trying to make a tumbler but first with mod podge method (other two were expoxy) this is such an easier method! I'm on day one of curing but the cup feels bumpy from the glitter some parts feel smooth but not all. Do you have suggestions o getting the bumpiness out? Thank you!
When you finish doing the mod podge and then doing the glitter wait like 5 minutes for the mod podge to dry a little then press down on the glitter with your gloved hand that worked for me hope it works for you
What mask do you suggest when using epoxy?
I am currently using the half face mask from counter culture diy
Can you just use the spray adhesive and then apply the glitter overtop? Does it matter if you use the mod podge? Thanks!!
What are fish eyes?
When epoxy spread on the tumbler or doesn’t stick in certain areas
Hi ! Love ur videos! Do u make ur own turners or buy them already made ?? Love all ur videos !
Do
You know of the mod posh glue works on headbands ?
What turners do you suggest because the spin it and the one from Amazon are not it please and thank you
Check out Etsy. They have great turners!
Could you use the mod Podge spray and apply over 1st coat of glitter to put 2n layer of glitter?
Yes.
Thank you x
Why do you use the sealer if you are going to put a few layers of epoxy on it? I am just learning so thank you for explaining.
This protects the glitter from moving around when you apply the epoxy. You apply the epoxy with your finger, this causes the glitter to move around. Unless you use a spray sealer. The glitter is on the tumbler with the mod podge but not sealed or stuck on the tumbler.
You should answer questions in the comments 😥
And less UMMMM while talking...
Noel Noel and less whining from the comment section.
How long do you let spray paint dry before doing mod podge?
Hi , any way to apply epoxy without Turner 🙈
Yes I need to know this!! I watched Jennifer Maker-or something like that-do the “lo-tech” way...meaning just a pvc pipe with 2 small foam footballs on the ends, sitting in a box. She said the 1st 30 mins you must turn it (she said babysitting it) slowly but steady.
Then after that you can turn it a little and 2-4 mins come back keep rotating and make a full circle every few minutes. Then after that you can do it 2x hour and by the time ur at the 5th hour you more or less don’t have to turn it. Unless u notice dripping still.
Idk I’ve never done this. Never made a cup becuz it seems uneasy, even tho most videos Ive seen they make it look easy. And very time consuming. And I’m not comfortable using resin inside my house bc my son has asthma. But if I could figure a way to just use mod Podge and a sealer-like polycrylic or something but nothing that most use up tot the lip line. (For me and my fam.)
@@allijmccoy Thank you sooo much for the reply, really appreciated 😊
@@tharwajawad2124 Of course! I hope I was of help. And I’m sorry for the long reply. But I wanted to let you know that I’ve asked 5 different pros at this tumbler epoxy method and just waiting on a reply. But if I find out I’ll be sure to let you know what I learn. And if you find out definitely let me know too!
My husband said that the most affordable way for us, since we are on 1 income currently, is to use an older fan motor. But since I’ve got no clue if this would work, I still wanted to share it with you! Anyways take care and stay safe🥰🥰🌸❤️
@@allijmccoy of course its helpful , thank you very much , but because of my limited working space and my kids around it won't be practical in the time being, I got my self busy now with the surviving board with resin 😅 things going fine , thanks again🥰
Can you use this same method for stainless steel ?
Do you let the epoxy go in the cup. Or do you tape it off??
Can I use acrylic tumblers with epoxy??
Why use mod podge as the first layer instead of just using epoxy all the way?
Can i use mod podge matte clear acrylic sealer in place of the adhesive you use?
Yes
Does this work on acrylic cups as well?
I'm new at this and I'm watching so many videos before I attempt, but does the epoxy make the cups dishwasher safe? Or do you still recommend hand washing?
Hand wash only also don’t leave in heat for too long if you can avoid it. Epoxy doesn’t make it dishwasher safe.
Great video..
But I thought casting epoxy was for making molds?
Yes I'm a Newbie 😆
Sandra Lea Melendez you can make molds as well with epoxy :). I use the two part epoxy
Could you make two of these for me but not sure how to get in touch with you about it
So I put mod podge then glitter. My glitter is dried now, so I have to spray that sealer? Or can I just go apply the epoxy
Seal then epoxy
💗 glitter colour
love the video, how much epoxy do you put in the cup? I believe you said 1oz but is there exact measurements of both A and B that you mix together?
About 1-2 ounces. That’s 1 ounce part B and 1 ounce part A
Very little. I tend to do the epoxy method when I have left over epoxy from my other projects
Did you sand this at all? If so how long do you let the epoxy cure before sanding?
About 15-20 hours, epoxy again after sanding
How many coats of epoxy was on this cup
One thin (very thin) coat for glitter to adhere. Then you can add three more after epoxy. 1-2 coats after glitter. Then one more over a decal
@@MissKissKreations thank you very much
Can you use mine podge instead of post?
What is the epoxy used for?
To seal in the glitter or design on the tumbler.
What are the blue mats under your turners?
Probably silicone mats.
Hi I am curious what you used to seal the glitter? Did you used epoxy or still the mod podge? What kind of mod podge to seal?
Kyrlon sealer is mentioned in the video, also posted in the description 😊
@@MissKissKreations would that apply on wood also ??
So you don't have to sand before putting the epoxy on the first time, after sealing
Correct
@@MissKissKreations I applied modge podge, glitter then epoxy. When my cups cured overnight they were really really bumpy. What have I done wrong?
Question: I waited about 15 mint minimum each coat then I spray the acrylic seal pray over and wait for 1 hour just like you said. But it not dry 😔
U have to let it dry for at least 8 hours
Why do u have so many coats of epoxy what kind do u use do u wear a mask?
Why do you have to spray it with acrylic sealer? Can I skip that part?
If you don’t seal with sealer, you can put another coat of mod podge over the last coat of glitter. A sealer helps the glitter stay in place so when you epoxy, the glitter doesn’t move around and smear on the tumbler.
Question? Do you have to you use the epoxy? I’m iffy about epoxy iv heard so many bad things about how harmful it is.. i don’t really know much more about it
Until it's dry, it's toxic. Use a respirator and in a well ventilated room to protect your lungs. I'm not sure why so many people leave that part out. There are alternatives to epoxy. Although I love the results from epoxy. There's Brite Tone or CrystaLac in place of epoxy.
I like this method better
What’s inside the tumblr inside the cup
Where can I find one
Small nerf football
Can u flood coat your tumbler instead of doing several layers of epoxy?
Make sure you don’t add a lot of epoxy then decal then add more.
Don’t want to add too much. I like to add some. Decal. Then add more.
Where do you order your tumblers from?
Hey there. I am a new subscriber and see your question. Thought I'd let you know that she says in the video she buys her tumblers from thestainlesssteeldepot.com . If you click on the "show more" underneath the video info, she lists every supply she uses and where she gets them from. :-)
I want to make tumblers but I get scared about using epoxy since it can be toxic I am going to purchase a mask for it though
Obviously this is not dishwasher safe. But I can hand wash it right?
Yes you can! 😊
is the epoxy fda approved? Food safe? dishwasher?
The epoxy I use is FDA approved. Please research your epoxy seems label or website before assuming yours may be FDA approved. It is recommended not to dish was your tumbler. Hand wash only.
You may drink out of your tumbler with no issue :)
Are they hard to make?
No. I have plenty of help videos to help you along. 😊
@@MissKissKreations they are so cute and I can’t wait to try making one for myself
What epoxy do you use?
Amazing Clear Cast
Do you have to spray paint every tumblrs if you are doing glitter?
Hi. Thanks for the video.
But what Epoxy are you using that dries in 6-8 hours?
When I use the spray it turns my glitter white even through my epoxy
It have never done that to me. Maybe try giving your bottle a good shake before you spray.
It will leave a dull or foggy finish to your tumbler after you spray. But, when you apply the epoxy, it will shine right back up!
why wouldnt you just use epoxy both times?
Do You have an Etsy Store??
I don’t. I am no longer on Etsy. You can find me on Facebook at Ms. Kreations and on Instagram
How long does it take to drink from the cup? What is the cure time of mod podge. I want to start selling the baby bottles on my etsy but want to make sure i do it right. I don't want to use epoxy so I have brute tone polyurethane instead
I am sorry, I only seal with epoxy after I design my tumblers. I don’t have your answer.
How did you make your spinner that your holding?
My husband made me one juat like this with some wood, pvc pipe and a microwave motor you can get them on Amazon
