    Here in North Carolina it's been cloudy, raining, and overcast for months. I can't tell you the last time I saw the sun for more than a few minutes here and there. Maybe that's why I've been so moody and agitated lately.

    I get a new skin cancer every year or two from my years of over exposer to the sun even though it’s been years since I’ve done it. My dermatologist, after removing a squamous cell cancer from my nose said ‘ everyday you wash your face. You brush your teeth. You put your sun screen on’. Year round. Now I struggle with low vit D and am currently on a weekly vit D supplement for a total of 12 weeks. I will implement more of these suggestions. I love the sun 🌞 But should I not expose my skin to it dr berg?? I know that you feel it’s important.

  • @lat21degrees
    @lat21degrees 6 лет назад +1

    Okay. Thanks. This is good to know, however there are exceptions. Many obese and overweight people live in sun drenched regions of this world too. Some people even gain weight even AFTER a move to a sunnier climate. Thanks for this info any way.

      Steven Marchant probably because they stay inside in AC sitting all day and go out only in the evening!!! Just because they LIVE in sun does does NOT mean they get ANY or ENOUGH sun!!

    • @lat21degrees
      @lat21degrees 6 лет назад

      Christina Bernat , I hear you. Thanks for your input.
      We need compassionate and objective research on this complicated issue and we need clarity on the statement that ‘exposure to the sun can cause weight loss’.
      As instances. Here are some questions.
      If the claim is true that ‘exposure to the sun can cause weight loss’, why are there obese and overweight people who have outdoor lives in sun drenched climates? And why are there many slender people who live in sunlight deprived climates? And why can many people lose weight in sunlight deprived climates? If we travel to a sun drenched climate for a short term visit, will we lose weight because of only having more sun exposure, or will there be other factors that cause us to lose weight? And. How much sun exposure do we need to lose weight? If the above claim is true, will I need more sun exposure than you, and how much is enough exposure precisely?
      There are other questions to ask before jumping to a conclusion on another way to lose weight. My initial comment and this second comment are a reminder to do this.

    I have a question, I usually break my fast with some greek yogurt and a handful of veggies to help reduce the sensitivity to insulin and then a few hours later I'll have my main meal. The problem I'm having is that I usually crash after my main meal and want to nap. What are some ways to counteract this? Keep in mind I crossfit 5 days a week while fasted, am a student, working, and have quite a bit of weight I'm trying to lose.

    • @Deckard-N
      @Deckard-N 6 лет назад +1

      Dexter Morgan: I understand. But wouldn't that initial spike of insulin be what is causing me to crash? I feel great after my morning work out and have tons of energy into the afternoon, then I eat and feel like I lose all my energy.

    • @christinabernat9681
      @christinabernat9681 6 лет назад

      Marcus Hunt sounds to me you are running your body too hard - it takes energy to digest food - that's why in many countries people have siesta or family time after their main meal!! Don't you see how much you are doing??? Take an hour after you eat and DO that nap! Slow down the cross training daily too - Give yourself a little more down time than you seem to be getting now.

    How long does one have to stay under the sun to get enough vitamin D daily? I suffer from hypertension and when I feel too hot my BP goes up. I live in a tropical and hot country the Philippines.

    • @christinabernat9681
      @christinabernat9681 6 лет назад

      Marylou Andrews take a clue from your own body - you just wrote "when I feel too hot" - GO INSIDE JUST BEFORE YOU GET TO THAT "too hot" FEELING, at least until you get your bloid pressure to be good again.
      Also, you need to learn more about health and taking great food grade supplements because high blood pressure usually means you are deficient in certain nutrients and minerals.
