🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:00 🛌 *Understanding the root cause of fatigue involves the mitochondria, the energy factory inside cells, responsible for producing ATP, the body's energy source.* 01:53 🥦 *Food quality matters for energy production; nutrient-dense foods supply essential vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B12, etc.) crucial for the assembly line in making ATP.* 04:39 🔄 *ATP, the body's energy currency, is continuously generated on demand and isn't stored, relying on processes like the Krebs cycle for its production.* 06:27 ⚡️ *The ketogenic diet promotes better energy generation from ketones and fat reserves, beneficial for sustained energy levels.* 08:02 🧠 *70% of ATP is used by the brain; insufficient ATP can lead to various brain-related issues like mood disorders and cognitive decline.* 09:26 💊 *Statin drugs inhibit Coenzyme Q10 production, vital for ATP generation, leading to muscle issues and decreased energy levels.* 11:46 🍔 *Nutrient-dense foods like red meat provide essential energy-generating factors crucial for sustaining energy levels.* 13:34 🏃 *Regular exercise is key to producing more mitochondria, crucial for enhancing energy levels and countering mitochondrial damage-related diseases.* 14:00 ⏳ *Intermittent fasting triggers autophagy, recycling damaged proteins and mitochondria, aiding in creating new and functional mitochondria for increased energy.*
Here are some key takeaways: 1. Fatigue and low energy often stem from dysfunctional mitochondria. Mitochondria are the "powerhouses" inside your cells that produce energy in the form of ATP. 2. Things that support healthy mitochondria include: the ketogenic diet, nutrient-dense foods like red meat, exercise, cold therapy, some phytonutrients, avoiding refined carbs and sugar, managing stress, and avoiding toxins. 3. Coenzyme Q10 is an important nutrient that supports mitochondrial function. Many common medications like statins can deplete CoQ10 levels. Supplementing may help increase energy. 4. The brain uses a very high percentage of the body's ATP. Boosting mitochondrial function can have profound effects on brain health and mood disorders. 5. Making more mitochondria (through exercise) and repairing existing ones (through fasting and phytonutrients) is key. Damaged mitochondria produce less ATP. 6. We have only a small reserve of ATP available at any one time. The ketogenic diet allows us to tap into larger fat stores for fuel when needed. In summary, supporting mitochondria function through diet, lifestyle, and strategic supplementation can have a big impact on fatigue and energy levels.
Whatever FDA says I try to avoid it. I found myself in this rabbit hole of so many industry lies when I read "The 23 Former Doctor Truths". Its no wonder why Doctor left her career.
A great teacher is not one who is just knowledgeable of the topic, but one who embodies, really lives it, and therefore can explain it in a relatable way. I believe this is the key reason why he is such a great teacher.
A while back, I told someone that I didn't go to the gym just for LOSING WEIGHT... they laughed at me like I was insane for saying such a dumb thing. I live a busy life.. and exercise gives me such energy as nothing else. I feel great!
LOL what? I don't think ANY experienced Weightlifter, Gym-goer or Athlete goes to the Gym to lose weight. People are there to build muscle, and as you said to be healthy and feel good. It's only the inexperienced newbies who go there to "lose weight". You diet and fast to lose weight.
Exactly! I’ve done CrossFit for years and still do as much as o can during my pregnancies (the last one and my current one). Which is a whole other discussion. My dad doesn’t think I should be working out at all. Firstly, I’d go crazy after working out all those years- secondly have no energy and not be strong for labor. Labor is athletic! Take so much strength and energy. Most people are so uneducated on all this
For me : Read the Bible Walking Sun bathing Eat super foods Take nap Sleep well Gardening Take supplements Drink teas ginger , garlic, whole lemon , turmeric, cayenne, cinnamon, clove Green tea I grow many herbs in my garden , I use each one to make tea
The bible and super foods are both fantasies so they won't help you. If you're eating right you won't need supplements unless instructed by your doctor. Sun bathing though great for vitamin D can quickly be a negative if you do it to much. Nothing wrong with tea unless you put a sweetener in it, but I don't think it does a ton to get your daily nutrients. Maybe swap out some tea for a fruit and vegetable smoothie.
This to me, this is one of the most important videos that Dr Berg has shown. I'm a 59 year old from the UK, still learning, but all I can say is, God bless Dr Berg who freely gives via RUclips, his knowledge. Once again, many thanks for keeping ordinary people like me informed 🙏🏻😊
As an engineering student, I used to completely abhor biology and similar topics but Dr. Berg is the only person who is able to pique my interests with that particular area. That said, he has also inspired me to live a better lifestyle just by following his war on all things sugar. This man is literally trying to save humanity, I hope people realize that.
This gentleman changed mi life, I was overweight, I was a busy mom but didn’t exercise, one day I bend to grab something from the bottom shelf in the store, I screamed bc i felt I was flying, unstable, my kids got very scared asking what is happening ( Thank God I started to feel better, from the vertigo) I knew it was time to change, luckily I found Dr. Berg and started fallowing I changed my diet, exercise at home, I haven’t felt vertigo in almost 2 years and my weight I feel very confident.
I had the flu thing for like 5 days or so, after that it was fine but then I ate garbage again for a bit and then I got the flu thing again. I found out that eating mostly meat and limiting carbs works best for me, so I am essentially not in ketosis but still feel much better.
My fatigue disappeared when I tackled candida. I realised it was that the whole time. Do the spit test in the morning by spitting into a glass of water before eating or drinking and see if some sinks to the bottom - if it does it means candida is in your throat/tongue which shows its been in the body for a long time. I started taking Candidase and my sugar cravings went away, then I noticed I didn't need my infrared light box and was waking up feeling clear and alert, all by day 2 of the treatment.
I did everything you said and I am not tired through out the day anymore!!!! I even stopped taking sleeping aids, sugar, processed foods, gluten free, corn free, soy free. And I’ve been feeling so much better!!! My diet is cleaner and I can sleep 7-8 hours now! Thank you again ❤❤❤
It all points to the reality of God, and how he designed us. Look into prophecies (Isaiah 53, Psalm 22, Micah 5:2, and many more you can find with a little research) about Jesus Christ if you want some evidence. Hope God blesses you, and once you come to find out that Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (if you're not already a Christian) than start reading the scriptures and pray for God to guide you by the Holy Spirit.

@@k.o.5041 Apparently it was a really bad image to start with, or a really bad photocopy. Considering all the failings and health issues humans suffer from. So yeah, probably not! The gods and goddesses are nothing like humans at all.
This was the very video I needed! I'm 23 years old, and currently struggling with fatigue. All that is expected of now is to organize myself and take action in each aspect.
Start Fasting it will heal you I had same issue, Its your microbiome issue, Start Grounding walk barefoot on earth daily , Stop eating Garbage food like fast food , dont eat out , dont drink coffee thanks me later
@philippeb4126 Me too. I was wondering if working kind of forced me into intermittent fasting. When not working, I seemed to eat a little bit throughout the day. Being at work, I was more thoughtful about what foods I ate so my energy stayed up.
I’m tired ALL the time but can’t sleep all through the night. 3 hours and I’m wide awake but still tired. This has been with me for 20 years and has gotten worse since I retired.
Me too, it was 4 -5 hours for many years, but much worse for the last three to four years..the fatigue is horrible. Finally got almost 4 hours sleep last night...up from the usual 2-3 hrs.
Look into iodine. I have been suffering from chronic fatigue, insomnia, brain fog, anxiety/depression for about 4 years. For the last 1.5 years I have been working on improving my health with regular exercise, healthy diet, brain retraining, and different supplements. Nothing seemed to work until I added Lugol iodine. Please look into it. Remember to take iodine with unrefined sea salt. I mix the unrefined sea salt with 2-3 iodine drops in a 40oz glass water bottle and drink it throughout the day. I drink about 120oz of iodine/salt water (8-9 drops of iodine total per day). I kid you not, this has been the missing link to my health. These are the supplements I take daily. Zinc, natural Vit C, Unrefined raw cod liver oil for Vit A and D, B-complex, and Mg and iodine/unrefined sea salt. I wish you the best of luck in your health journey.😊
Thank you Dr. Berg. It's true, exercise increases energy. It's the cure to getting out of the tiring cycle of having low energy, eating comfort foods, getting lazy and feeling depressed because sluggish/out of shape. Daily exercise is a must and a life hack!
I can't say it enough: YOU'RE THE BEST DR. BERG! The simplicity in which you explain complex science amazes me every time. Thank you so much for sharing such interesting info about how our bodies work. ❤
We are tired, because our jobs don't end. It isn't an 8-5, though it is supposed to be. Work occurs all the time with no real time for lunch or breaks. Horrible.
Have you read the book statins how they kill us one cell at a time? There is an interview on RUclips with a gal who is interviewing the two Drs that wrote the book. Very interesting. In a nut shell It seems statins do take the cholesterol out of the blood, where it's tested for and it shoves it in the closet!!! , Which is our cells. So it's still in the body. It's like a hoarder cleaning the house and stuffing everything into the closet until the door falls off or the walls bust out. And that's what happens in the cell. They stuff the cells with cholesterol and the cells rupture and that causes the muscle weakness and pain people on statins experience.
GAME CHANGERS FOR ME..I've been eating all whole foods, high protein for years...but what REALLY helped, cold showers (which aren't fun in winter for me) and intermittent fasting of 14 or more hours. Thank you Dr. Berg.
Yep, all about the fod. Look how strong silverbacks and grizzlies are eating their perfect, natural foods. Humans eat the worst diets in the animal world. We are so far removed and so weak compared with our humble beginnings.
It’s not true what you’re talking about. I am eating sugar all entire life and I’m strong like a bear. I don’t sleep more than six hours a day and still I feel strong. But every human body is different.
Yes sugar also cause body and joint pain. When I stopped my sugar intake I saw a huge difference in my body and joint pain and had more consistent energy
Thank you so much for this! I have extreme tiredness (poor sleep, stress, and diet are part of it) but I never knew why I have extreme drowsiness in my eyes. This sheds some light on that!
Wow! Best video! I started fasting and not even on a full KETO , with light exercising, and I feel and am healthier, lost 33 pounds in 4 months, got off metformin. Many thanks for the help Dr. Berg! From your videos I have more understanding and knowledge on how the body functions and what I can do to become healthier.
So knowledgeable!! I got sick in the past with IBS following his anti aging advice. I now live moderately, listening to my body, not the self proclaimed experts, and have made a full recovery!
One size fits all doesn't apply in medicine ,each person different .Did you go in person to be treated by dr. Berg ? Then he would have a better understanding of your unique situation and treat you accordingly. His advice is more general for most people .His advise is free , he is a great Dr. But it is up to you to decide if you will follow hi advice or not and to what degree.wishing you great health.
I am working on your advices like taking the lemon water 30 min before the breakfast and doing intermittent fasting of 7 to 8 hours believe me I feel more energetic and focused now Thanks for helping me ❤
I'm with you, Doc. I wish I had learned this stuff in my 20's. But, in my 60's and never too late, they say. I feel like I'm on a road to recovery after all these years. Love the content of this video, thanks.
This is probably one of your top five videos of all time, Dr Berg. It’s so clarifying, even with all the technical jargon, and incredibly motivational. I truly didn’t grasp in a concrete way how important exercise is until I was about halfway into this video. Great work, and thank you!
This was a good one for me. I have been tired all of my adult life. Also type 1 diabetes for 54 years. A few years ago I started taking glutathione and it saved me from having to retire early and go on disability. But now I’m still tired. I think a lot of our fatigue is caused by depression, being too busy in life, bad diets, and lack of exercise. Guilty!!!
@@masonmurphy4978 really? Yes it’s in your head - specifically in your mind - and it’s really there. I don’t want to be depressed but it just doesn’t go away
@@SheilaMcDonaldbeingmeIf you type words like type 1, depression, stress relief, ect, in the search 🔎 area of this channel, you will find videos Dr Berg made to help with these situations.
Great video. I'm 47 and have been exercising (weightlifting and cardio) plus eating a healthy diet for almost 29 years. I rarely eat processed food, mainly on vacation. My daily energy is off the charts. I wake up instantly like hitting a light switch and never crash. Zero stress, anxiety, and perfect health stats. If you put in the time, it does pay off in the end. I always find it amusing when people think my brother who is 4 years younger is the older brother. They think I'm in my 30s and he's in his 50s. He has a high stress job, ex wife, kids, never worked out a day in his life, and eats a terrible diet.
@@DUBLL100they seem inspiring to me. Change your mindset and you won't have to look for the worst in others actions when they share something positive they are proud of. That's a you issue. Only you can change that. To the original comment that's a great thing to read.
Takeaways: 1. Mitochondria is the root of the many problems like fatigue ( very tired). 2. Mitochondria is a battery making machine . That battery is ATP. We get energy from it. We can't directly get energy from food. 3. Kerb cycle ( occurs before energy prepared) it takes electrolytes , minerals and vitamins which are helper molecules that are essential for making these battery i.e ATP enzyme. 4. There is something like engine in Mitochondria which rotate very speed. Each rotation is 3 ATP. 27000 ATP per min per mitochondria. There are 1000 to 2500 of mitochondrias in each cell. And there are 10 trillion cells. Healthy person makes massive amount of ATP. Weight ATP you produce per day equivalent to weight of that person. Which equivalent to 1200 watts which is 282 AAA batteries. Seems small but body uses efficiently and it is not stored but generated on demand. Once used ATP converted into ADP and again recycled to ATP. And ADP can be stored and recycled thousands of times per day to ATP. When we exercise, we generate so much of ATP. We store two fuel resources. a. Glycogen - sugar stored in muscle or liver - 1700 calories. b. Fat -we use it ketosis and become very efficient at using fat. 1000000 calories fat will be there in our body. Here what happens is when we out of calories in glycogen, we ran out of energy. We completely depend on mind. We should tap into ketosis for constant energy. It will continuesly generate ATP on demand. We should get into ketogenic diet for it. It also depends on co factors like Leakage of oxygen and electrons from mitochondria. Coenzyme Q10 nutrition is important for increasing Mitochondria. We can get it from food or our body can make it. Generally people with diabetic as less Q10. Overall, we should exercise, good food, sleep, fasting can tap into autophagy which recovers damaged cells also mitochondria. Cold showers also increase Mitochondria. Building muscles means we have highest amount of Mitochondria in muscle.
Can't hardly do much exercise for having no energy after being on carnivore diet for 4 weeks. Started off feeling a lot better then than now. Having horrible time with little to no sleep. Drag through the days with having to force myself to do house chores, much less exercise. Diet is no problem. BP hS improved. No problem with hunger. Just feeling very tired. I'm 77 years old. Ery discouraged.
This is probably one of my favorites of your videos, Dr. Berg! I've always found it very ironic that putting in work and exercising results in feeling more energetic, when you would think logically that it would tire you out more. I think your average person, and even myself in the past, fails to understand these complex systems in the body. Understanding these processes is nothing short of a life changer.
To whoever is reading this keep going, you're doing fine! No matter how slow your progress each new week is filled with tiny steps forward. Be proud of yourself you got this!
It's great that RUclips exists. We studied medicine and got our “ famous “degrees, but medical schools seem to be influenced by big pharmaceutical and food companies. We have found an alternative perspective to understand fatigue. Thank you, Dr., for your significant achievement in helping millions. It speaks volumes. Thank you so much! 🙏🏾
Thanks for this great video! Another big factor for tiredness these days (which you didn't need to worry about in your 20's), is us being constantly bombarded by EMF from mobile phones, wifi and masts. This is hugely exhausting us day in, day out....
I’m surprised Dopamine wasn’t mentioned here. The No.01 thing that makes me or anyone else tired is the use of modern technology and screen time. Because it hard wires your brain and depletes your dopamine level. And dopamine is your energy driving force. It’s like the steering wheel form to rest of your engine
i can easily play 24 hours if i can sleep 8 hours afterwards (inbetween) for multiple days. in fact gaming keeps me awake. listening to stuff without acting myself, e.g. my prof at university though....:D makes me feel like i need to bite my tongue to stay awake. though i use darkmode in about anything, maybe that helps.
In my case, it was carbs, high carbs. Including sweet fruits, potatoes 🥔 low stomach acid, false data on saturated fats, ect. Didn’t have much contact with modern tech, beside the very basic.
Dr. Berg, I like your detective work in the health field 👍 Since I eat almost no carbohydrates and no processed foods, I have energy all the time and don't get tired. So it works for me
In a world flooded with processed foods, this video is a refreshing reminder to savor the nutrient-dense delights and dance to the rhythm of our mitochondria. Cheers to unraveling the mysteries of fatigue and embracing the electrifying energy of well-nourished, well-exercised cells!
5:00 - 7:00 is the most utterly important part imo. Really the crux of the underlining problem it seems. Ironically exercising *gives* you energy, not depletes it. Not instantaneously post workout but in general throughout your week through "recycling". My question is Eric, how long can ADP be stored to be recycled? When do we see ADP expire if we suddenly stop our weekly exercise routine? Does it expire exponentially or consistently?
My energy levels, diet, and overall health and well being are improving thanks to your videos and nutritional advice. Thank you very much! I appreciate you!
Thank you Dr. Berg for putting together this video! Just when I thought I understood the benefits of keto and IF, you come up with a better, deeper explanation. Thank you for all you do!
Adequate sleep is probably more important than anything to not feel tired. Being regular and waking on the cycle naturally rather than ten alarms forced waking with inadequate sleep.
He's talking about people being chronically tired no matter how much sleep they get. I can't even function with fewer than 10 hours of sleep. I've tried so many health and lifestyle changes over the past 30 years and so far nothing has changed the constant feeling of zero energy. Getting rid of grains in the diet and sugar has made me feel the best but it still doesn't help with more energy.
Yes, I have more than 15 years with this account and never seen you in a recommended video. I can relate with everything you said, the biochemistry is sound, the video as a whole makes sense, so thank you.
My mom is 77 and started IF and prolonged (3- to 5-day fasts) for the past year. She's at her high school weight and even 8 years post stroke she's got more energy than before it. Her skin is tightening and cellulite mostly gone. I don't think age has to ruin you.
Last Time i was in ketosis i had so much energy in my body and brain. Feeled really good and energized! Brains worked like a charm! Highly recommend! ❤
I moved off my cpap and switched to mouth tape, it works as well as the machine did. I'm starting to try moving to sleeping on the floor now, I was on the floor for like 40 minutes 2 days ago trying to sleep and I felt both of my ears opened up while i was on my side, usually its just one ear, but now even the one in the air opened up. idk if that was my Eustachian tubes opening ( I have underdeveloped ones) cause i saw this vid 2 days ago " Why I stop sleeping on beds and went to the floor instead" and now I searched "sleeping on floor mewing" and it seems its best for keeping the tongue on the roof of the mouth during sleep / sleeping posture.

When it come to food, i eat as usual 😂😂.. after watching this i do understand. thanks doc for this explanation..
Love this. The dedication it takes to stay energized is so amazing, yet paradoxical. It’s so easy to make poor diet choices, stay up late surfing the internet/media and not exercise. But those temporary dopamine hits just make things chronically worse. You would think preserving energy means you have more of it, but that’s only true for animals who live to survive. Humans have to stay stimulated or productive to maintain high energy because our basic needs are met (in most places)
I don't do Keto but I do have a lot of energy. My diet consist of mostly fish, some chicken and lamb, barely beef and rarely pork. I do munch all day long on fruits and veggies. I do have my junk food junkie days. I take a multivitamin every day. I do eat liver. I have a habit of taking a tablespoon of honey and one of peanut butter daily. Why? I just like it. I like making food from scratch so when I can I will do it to include pasta my sauces from scratch as well as homemade tortillas. I always have a cup of tea and it varies. It could be green tea ginger or turmeric and once in a while I even make this tea that has those things including clothes and a lot more stuff in it that I drink through out maybe the day or into the next day. I sometimes don't know why I have so much energy because I tend to sleep for 4 hours here and do power naps there and I am still trying to figure out a guess why I still have so much energy. I do some exercises I guess you can say moderate I know I do not go to the gym to do them I just do them in my house for a couple minutes. Tea is my main thing that I do drink it's rare when I drink coffee oh and my tea is decaffeinated but if anybody wants any tea recipes because it is soothing and I do wake up before anybody in the house to have that quiet moment to myself feel free to let me know. This video though it's so informational and whoever doesn't listen to a lot of the stuff that he says is losing out because I've seen every single one of his videos and it's a lot of stuff that has to do back in I guess the olden days that I still do and people around me my age are so exhausted and they barely have anything to do compared to my days and they're like how do you do it and it's just the way I approached things in life what a lot of old-fashioned stuff approach things with a lot of old-fashioned stuff
I just clicked on the link and subscribed to your HTTP link 😊 On a life-changing journey with health and fitness and find your content, the most informative that I’ve run across
Maybe it's true for some poeple, but not for everyone, there are some people brains of whom are very resistant to any form of help. I've tried keto diet, currently I'm on low carb diet, in the past I've been diagnosed with depression and took some ~30 various antidepressants and various forms of psychotherapy over years - neither helps with fatigue. After years of trying I learnt to force myself to exercise at gym 3 times a week - fatigue is reduced for some 30 minutes after exercise and returns to the ugly "norm" after. At my age of 42 I should have family and be pretty rich (I'm a computer programmer), but I'm alone and rather poor because od depression and fatigue (and frequent job absences or changes because of that).
@@bmyo-e4n Of course, all my blood test results are good, however head MRI and neuropsychological tests aren't - issues with prefrontal cortex which in my case happened to be drug-resistant and therapy resistant; for no obvious reasons like another disease, poisoning or accident, most likely poor genetics. Genetics is the king - just like no dog will be smarter than let's say 3yr old kid, no ape will be smarter than let's say 7yr old, similarly here, almost 50% of human happiness levels is in genes, and in my cases it's even visible in MRI 😞

DR BERG! You have always been my diet coach, and you will always be! Thank you for your contribution to society, I hope your prayers are always answer.
My problem was too much caffeine... I would wake up tired, and therefore drink a lot of caffeine to get through the day. By bed time, I'm too wired and don't get a good night sleep, thus I wake up tired again... and the cycle continues.
I fixed my insomnia by getting up early and taking the morning sun. It does a few things for you. The early morning sun is of a different quality and has lots of red light which is good for your eyes, and reverses macular degeneration. It also stimulates your cells to produce melatonin -- which is a bit odd because at night your pineal gland needs Darkness to produce it the early morning sun resets your circadian rhythm so by 9 you'll start feeling sleepy again

I’m knackered CONSTANTLY. I’m healthy, exercise every day, play sport, eat sensibly, have no unusual stress. I usually sleep reasonably well but none of it makes any difference. I had a very bad accident aged 19 (I’m now 44), I was in a coma and have had many surgeries etc. I was full of energy before that. I have had this lately, I have been poor at keeping up with my Keto regime, too many invites to friends for dinner, it was amazing how easy it was to get out of my keto routine. I gained 3 kg. So I am very annoyed with myself. I'm back on one meal a day, 24 hour fast, plenty of meat, salads and eggs, I felt great when i was down to around 76/77 kg, lots of energy and more motivated too. Definitely those carbs and in particular sugar is really bad news, avoid at all costs!
Not easy to be surrounded by “friends” lol. You may want to bring some Dr Berg’s recipes next time, so much so that their tables won’t have space for their own foods…😊😊
I really needed to see this video today, it helped me understand more in depth and detail how to get my energy back. I am so grateful for all the health information you share with us, thank you Dr. Berg.
It is very important for people to understand that no stimulant -contaning beverage or food substance produces " energy". Stimulants cause the body to tap into reserve energy. That is why they ultimately deplete you. It is quite literally an illustration of the old adage " burning the candle at both ends". The only energy our bodies can create is the energy derived from the metabolization of calories from food. Manufacturers should be prevented from using the word " energy" anywhere in their marketing of beverages containing stimulants.
I have been sleeping 18-20h a day for over 3 years and I have gained +60lbs.. I finally have some extra energy and got rekomended your channel by RUclips. I will give it a serious try and I hope it work because I don't have a life right now.
You have to change your diet. I used to be in bed for 20 hours a day and could barely move. I ate one burrito a day and some chocolate. I was severely depressed. I went to many different doctors and was prescribed antidepressants but the best thing you can do for yourself is tell yourself you are the only one who can make the changes needed and go walking every day and eat nutritious food. Don't buy any processed food, sugary drinks, fruit juice, fast food, etc. I still struggle with low energy every day and needing to be in bed a lot(not as long anymore though), which is why I am watching Dr. Berg's videos. But I know what it's like to be in bed 20 hours a day and everyone expects you to work full time and have a positive attitude just by thinking positive and heal yourself in two weeks. It's very hard but you have to make progress or you will still be in the same condition one year from now. I've hiked the entire Appalachian Trail being dead tired and walking slower than everyone else but it was my dream and I did it. No one had sympathy for me. To them I was going slow on purpose. It's a massive struggle going through life chronically fatigued and hear other people tell you to just sleep less and move more. There's a deep issue going on in our body and we need to address it. It's not purely a mental imbalance like so many people want to say it is.
Huh. Apparently, CoQ10 may also get depleted by corticosteroids, a common treatment for asthma. While people with asthma are usually already very low on this co-enzyme. This may explain the past twenty years of struggling with fatigue.
Hi Dr. I'm Florence, I suffer from insomnia, either not falling asleep or waking up at 2pm. I don't snack , I take two meals per day. I'm not diebetic but a bit of high blood pressure.
So helpful. I’m in my early 30s and energy levels are going downhill but they shouldn’t! Soo hard to get through the day and feel full of energy like I used to.
I can't even watch the whole video,, that's how much I feel tired all the times

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 🛌 *Understanding the root cause of fatigue involves the mitochondria, the energy factory inside cells, responsible for producing ATP, the body's energy source.*
01:53 🥦 *Food quality matters for energy production; nutrient-dense foods supply essential vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B12, etc.) crucial for the assembly line in making ATP.*
04:39 🔄 *ATP, the body's energy currency, is continuously generated on demand and isn't stored, relying on processes like the Krebs cycle for its production.*
06:27 ⚡️ *The ketogenic diet promotes better energy generation from ketones and fat reserves, beneficial for sustained energy levels.*
08:02 🧠 *70% of ATP is used by the brain; insufficient ATP can lead to various brain-related issues like mood disorders and cognitive decline.*
09:26 💊 *Statin drugs inhibit Coenzyme Q10 production, vital for ATP generation, leading to muscle issues and decreased energy levels.*
11:46 🍔 *Nutrient-dense foods like red meat provide essential energy-generating factors crucial for sustaining energy levels.*
13:34 🏃 *Regular exercise is key to producing more mitochondria, crucial for enhancing energy levels and countering mitochondrial damage-related diseases.*
14:00 ⏳ *Intermittent fasting triggers autophagy, recycling damaged proteins and mitochondria, aiding in creating new and functional mitochondria for increased energy.*

Censorship is the tool of tyrants and cowards. Thank the current president admin for it
Yeah i can't believe it's 9 months old and this is the first time I'm seeing it.
Here are some key takeaways:
I heard you. Thank you for the synopsis. Most appreciated.🙏

There are many knowledgeable people on many topics. But very few people can teach as effectively as this guy. This guy is an amazing teacher
Great, kind, Doctor.
You are totally correct, exercises helps with energy, better mood, ect. It’s a known fact.
LOL what? I don't think ANY experienced Weightlifter, Gym-goer or Athlete goes to the Gym to lose weight. People are there to build muscle, and as you said to be healthy and feel good.
It's only the inexperienced newbies who go there to "lose weight".

Exactly! I’ve done CrossFit for years and still do as much as o can during my pregnancies (the last one and my current one). Which is a whole other discussion.

My fatigue disappeared when I tackled candida. I realised it was that the whole time. Do the spit test in the morning by spitting into a glass of water before eating or drinking and see if some sinks to the bottom - if it does it means candida is in your throat/tongue which shows its been in the body for a long time.

Takeaways:
It also depends on co factors like
Leakage of oxygen and electrons from mitochondria.
Excellent!

Adequate sleep is probably more important than anything to not feel tired. Being regular and waking on the cycle naturally rather than ten alarms forced waking with inadequate sleep.
...as neck position posture pillow
Yes.

How does aging ( into 70’s) factor into the reality of slowing down and the body’s natural aging process?
My mom is 77 and started IF and prolonged (3- to 5-day fasts) for the past year. She's at her high school weight and even 8 years post stroke she's got more energy than before it. Her skin is tightening and cellulite mostly gone. I don't think age has to ruin you.

Last Time i was in ketosis i had so much energy in my body and brain. Feeled really good and energized! Brains worked like a charm! Highly recommend! ❤
I believe mine is my sleep apnea. I'm taking a lot of your vitamins as well. Also doing intermitting fasting and keto lost 55 pounds.
I moved off my cpap and switched to mouth tape, it works as well as the machine did.
I'm starting to try moving to sleeping on the floor now, I was on the floor for like 40 minutes 2 days ago trying to sleep and I felt both of my ears opened up while i was on my side, usually its just one ear, but now even the one in the air opened up. idk if that was my Eustachian tubes opening ( I have underdeveloped ones)
cause i saw this vid 2 days ago " Why I stop sleeping on beds and went to the floor instead"
and now I searched "sleeping on floor mewing" and it seems its best for keeping the tongue on the roof of the mouth during sleep / sleeping posture.
@@mysticflow467That’s really interesting. I like trying simple changes that are relatively harmless. And if I find something doesn’t work well for me, I move onto something else, or taylor it to fit my needs. That’s why I love this channel and others like it; All of the kind people helping one another. Thank you, and God bless you. 😊❤️🙏🏼
sleep apnea is a lymph system issue , and mucus , to resolve it just fast with lemon or go carnivore for a while with no diary or eggs and if you eat eggs make sure they are free pastured and gluten free
@@mysticflow467 Very interesting. I have a sleep number and I have it at like 90. And I started out with a mouthpiece as well. But that did not work very well for me. I'm a 185 pounds. And still have to use my seat bag. My doctor says that I probably had sleep bad news since I was a kid. What's definitely seems like it cause. I've never had a good rest of sleep. I was an MMA fighter and had to retire. Because of it. Start it out with load testosterone. And it went on from there god bless you
Wow 🤩 cool. Have you checked Dr Berg’s videos on sleep apnea? On breathing, ect?
Ever since I started eating only fruit in the morning, stopped mixing carbs and proteins (correct food combining) and upped my vegetable and salad intake, plus limiting sugar and NO "vegetable" cooking oils, my energy levels are high. Stress and crappy junk bring it down.
Great 👍 Some of Dr Berg’s videos /articles on stress relief and on how to stop cravings may help.
I am a caregiver And been taking care of clients since I was 51 years old. I felt good then. Now I’m struggling at 73 I usually don’t feel bad all the time but lose energy around afternoon. I do still work but not much my job requires home cleaning duties and personal care if needed. I do eat good salads ,veggies fruit so I still tired I even take my vitamins that my doctor said for me to take. Can’t figure it out. I need to take my physical in August every year I do. Dr Berg I listen to all or most of you videos I write important things down I’m thankful for your advice. 😊
Im 45 years old and i suffer asthma, bipolar and cholesterol level (warning stage). im always in fatigue mode.. my doc recommend Q10. Im surprised of my energy level, easy to breathe and last of all i cant understand i lost 15 kg. I do light exercise briskwalk and sleep early by 10 and wake up by 5am and i took cold shower.

🙏🙏🙏
Try JESUS ....that worked for me .
Have you had some blood tests to see if you're deficient in something, maybe magnesium
Genetics is the king - just like no dog will be smarter than let's say 3yr old kid, no ape will be smarter than let's say 7yr old, similarly here, almost 50% of human happiness levels is in genes, and in my cases it's even visible in MRI 😞
of all the issue that could plague a person with low energy, dr burg has narrowed it down to not being on a keto diet. Amazing!
You are so helpful. From UK woman age 58yrs
Very glad to be of help.
You can take all the vitamins eat well etc, but there a Medication for blood pressure or Diabetic medication etc which makes you feel extremely tired. .
Cut back to one cup of joe in morning, work out all day, with breaks till supper, you be out by 9-10:30 sleep 8 hrs
Dr Berg, i wanted to take the time to show my gratitude to you whole heartedly. Ive been watching your stuff for about 3 yers now and i find it very helpful and enlightening. You are a good human being who is going out of his way to get people better. sorry to hear about RUclips's taking down and blocking of your videos. Have a lovely day from Okan in London.
Haha! I will say this “I am an expert in this area because I’ve been tired”. Love it 😂 ❤️ keep the videos coming Dr Berg! Thank you. I learn something new with each episode you produce. Have helped my husband and I with navigating the modern times as it relates to diet and health!
But it’s now over 24 years of being absolutely shattered every single day.
Do you have body pain also ?
Or just fatigue constantly?
What is your resting breathing rate per minute ? Count inhalations in one minute
Walking is medicine 💊
Absolutely! You feel your body wake up. You feel energized and happy. Even on a warm or hot day.
Keto and fasting helped reverse over 30+ years of chronic fatigue
Awesome 👏 Thanks for sharing!

Stay strong Dr. Berg.
When I watch videos like this one and others that you make, I realize why I had the issues in years past.
Don't be angry just consider it a reminder.
Berg.

It is very important for people to understand that no stimulant -contaning beverage or food substance produces
" energy".
Stimulants cause the body to tap into reserve energy.
That is why they ultimately deplete you.
It is quite literally an illustration of the old adage
" burning the candle at both ends".
The only energy our bodies can create is the energy derived from the metabolization of calories from food.
Manufacturers should be prevented from using the word " energy" anywhere in their marketing of beverages containing stimulants.

Stop eating fudge rounds for meals. All that sugar added is detrimental to body.
