    This game, along with other Enix games, deserves a remake.

    • @CypressDahlia

      it really does deserve a remake, considering the North American localization ruined the game balance to make it harder. I know a lot of people got frustrated and didn't give it a chance as a result

      The American version was harder to start than the Japanese version. The other heroes stats increased in increments of 7 lvls in the US version, and 9 I think the the Japanese, so over leveling early hurt you big time until the 60-70s range they would cap out and you wouldn't until 99. Something to consider when going for a 100% run

    The trick in this game is making sure your companion has died before facing a boss, then reviving your companion at the start of the boss battle so it’s always two against one. It’s a little tricky but once you get the hang of reviving before boss battles, the game gets a lot easier. Also ALWAYS shield-up and power-up, in that order, after reviving your companion. Bosses will always be a challenge otherwise. Fun game and back in the day, you got your money’s worth. Many, many towns and goodies.

    Oh man, so I rented this game time and again and couldnt beat it. Finally my best friend bought it and played it for hours and couldnt beat it. Finally he lets me play it... and I mained Wilme and had Valsu in my party... and I ran through the game like gangbusters... I get to the past and I'm going strong and he's annoyed that I'm going to get there, meanwhile I had lent him some of my games and didnt give a crap what he did, but he wanted the game back by the end of the weekend, so I speed ran through the end of the game and lol the enemies in the final dungeon are unkillable when you are 30 hours in, but the final boss... a pushover if you know the rune order...
    i called him and told him to come over and that he could have his game back.... i killed the final boss and we watch the ending while i had the smuggest look on my face. Then I popped the cartridge out of the SNES and said thx... he never beat it. lolol
    On a side note, he was the best man at my wedding 15 years later... so I love the guy... but we were dumb as teenagers lol

    I played this game so much as a kid! I beat it with every character except Olvan and Kamil. Valsu and Esuna were so OP it was nuts. To this day is still can't wrap my head around some of the battles vs other playable characters. I learned to save before every interaction real fast. This game is where I started to learn Game Genie coding. After I beat it multiple times I had a ton of fun just making new codes that did all sorts of crazy stuff, like giving +220 STR or INT with each level up. I got up to 999 points on every trait by level 12. Really killed the fun though lol.

      @drkingslend Год назад

      I think kamils the worst char to play as, mediocre in everything lol. The manual suggested playing as Kamil if u were new to the game and I think that's part of the reason ppl said it's so difficult. Playing as wilme for example, and the game was pretty easy
