I was 7 years old when I first played this game with my brother. We reached the final chapter of this game while staying at my second aunt's house during summer vacation. Sometimes, when I listen to this soundtrack, the weather and smells of that time come to mind.
The entire soundtrack screams SNES 1995. It’s awesome, reliving my childhood. Runners up: Forest Interlude In a Snow-Bound Land 🥉Hot Head Bop 🥈 Mining Melancholy 🥇 Stickerbrush Symphony
Yes, Stickerbrush Symphony is wonderful, and almost certainly the best song this game has to offer, but lets see some appreciation for Forest Interlude and Crocodile Cacophony. Both bangers in completely different ways.
This OST and other countless ones are my safe space. They bring me back to a time of joy and excitement, with no worries. Luls me back to a calm when I need it.
This is one of my favorite Video Game Soundtracks ever! I played Donkey Kong Land 2 first as a kid which has the same tracks almost, but some are missing. I checked out the Donkey Kong Country 2 Soundtrack and it is so good! My favorites in no particular order are Bayou Boogie, Mining Melancholy, Flight of the Zingers, Hot Head Hop, Forest Interlude, Stickerbush Symphony, In A Snow Bound Land, Snakey Chantey, Klubba's Reveille, and Funkey The Main Monkey.
I’m so grateful to have grown up with virtual console, enabling me to play all these great 90s games when I was a kid. These melodies are planted so deep within my subconscious, i’ll cherish them forever
same for me, when I hear the melodies I travel back in my mind to a 6-10 year old me playing that game, sitting with my sister in our room, tv was placed in an old wooden shelf and below the tv was our lego and nearby some polly pocket and the grey big nintendo game boy. A real 90s childhood
I am 37 year old, white man from Spain, this game is my childhood. It is pure nostalgia and this music makes me travel to another world. There are no more games like before, it's pure art.
I still think Cranky Kong will come after us in the future, when we are playing unreal engine 5 games, totally forgotten the skill and finesse needed for games like dkc2. Its like heaving an answering machine over a smartphone and use the slowtime to enjoy your dkc2 while wifi is not even there
best ones are (in no particular order) - Mining Melancholy - Stickerbush Symphony - Hot Head Bop - In a Snow-Bound Land - Forest Interlude - Bayou Boogie - Jib Jig

o game mais perfeito da minha epoca .
jogabilidade, cenários, gráficos e a sua trilha sonora insuperável ate os dias de hoje.
I played this game for the first time a few years ago so I can’t say it’s my favorite soundtrack of all time yet but its definitely up there with some of favorites. Yoshis island, Halo 3, Mother 3
Stickerbrush Symphony is giving me the chills man...
I got it for wii u and maybe i will play the game trough some time, although i can't enjoy the music when I'm stressing the f** out
yes gret song
my favorite super nintendo game and soundtrack, just amazing
As a kid, booting this game up always gave me a sense of immersion I never got from any other game. The visuals and the music both go together so well. The nostalgia I get from just the music and the image on this video is insane lol
I love hearing these songs, brings back memories when I was playing and then teaching my kids how to play too. Maybe I should hook it up again and make a day of it
It's genius to put sound effects IN the Music itself, making the whole Level more alive and imersive. Specialy in Hot-Head Bop or Mining Melancholy
The mind blowing part is that they managed to do all of it on 128kB of RAM.
Holy crap didn’t even see this comment and literally just made the exact same point haha
I was 7 years old when I first played this game with my brother. We reached the final chapter of this game while staying at my second aunt's house during summer vacation. Sometimes, when I listen to this soundtrack, the weather and smells of that time come to mind.
This is my jam right here 12:47. When that section of Hot-Head Bop comes in, it's perfect.
Love that part too
36:40 I still can't believe the SNES was capable of music this beautiful
The entire soundtrack screams SNES 1995. It’s awesome, reliving my childhood.
Runners up:
Forest Interlude
In a Snow-Bound Land
🥉Hot Head Bop
🥈 Mining Melancholy
🥇 Stickerbrush Symphony
Yes, Stickerbrush Symphony is wonderful, and almost certainly the best song this game has to offer, but lets see some appreciation for Forest Interlude and Crocodile Cacophony. Both bangers in completely different ways.
6:15 always loved this. Such a hopeful tune
This OST and other countless ones are my safe space. They bring me back to a time of joy and excitement, with no worries. Luls me back to a calm when I need it.
I'm 34 and listening to it cause it brings childhood memories
A Top 3 Gaming Soundtracks of all time for sure
Top 3 Video games of all time for me
Ah Yes, one of the best game songs and at the same time one of the most commonly mispelled song: Stickerbush Symphony.
Absolute masterpiece
Stickerbrush Symphony
Forest interlude
And in a snow bound land were always my favorite
Just listened to the DKC1 OST before this… Crazy how much DKC2 improved on an already strong soundtrack. Legendary game.
Its like heaving an answering machine over a smartphone and use the slowtime to enjoy your dkc2 while wifi is not even there
Oh hell yeah
best ones are (in no particular order)
- Mining Melancholy
- Stickerbush Symphony
- Hot Head Bop
- In a Snow-Bound Land
- Forest Interlude
- Bayou Boogie
- Jib Jig
Thank you David Wise for this masterpiece.
yall are so old i’m 23 and this was my favorite
bro, mining melancholy, forest interlude and disco train... my favorites :D
24 years here, and i still use DK songs to study or just relax. C'mon, this is sooo nostalgic!
