What is your favorite N64 track of all time? (2/2)
GoldenEye 007
Out of this list, it's On The Beach from Yoshi Story. I never beat or got to play much of the game, but that Steel Drum + Beat = Major Serotonin
i like Darkmoon Caverns - Diddy Kong Racing so chill!
49:43 Hang Glider Pilotwings 64.
Dire Dire Docks - Super Mario 64
We didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun.
😭😭😭
Beautiful
🥲
love y’all 🥺
Why you making me cry
It's really comforting knowing we all share such fond memories, even thousands of miles apart. Absolute magic.
WRONG. I do also share such magical fond memories; however I am not thousands of miles apart; I am currently hiding behind your couch
@@Nisaba57 oh no
💯
Cults feel the same way just saying kek.
And im also hidden in your closet.
The first time I put Ocarina of Time into my N64 was the most magical experience. That main menu theme will always be special to me and all the 90's kids.
We have a full blind playthrough of OoT on the channel. It was so much fun watching Dustin experience the game all the way through for the very first time.
i dont think any generation can say they hold as much fond memories as any 90s child myself included this music brings a tear to my eye ....simpler times they were
I have a distinct first memory of Ocarina of Time. My older brother got it for his birthday and I remember the first time I saw that opening cutscene. I had just turned 5, but still I remember it so vividly. Good times...
Most definitely. SO MANY great memories listening to that tune. It always takes me back to being a kid when my imagination was running wild everytime I listen to it. I was around maybe 8 years old when I played that game for the first time, I'm 36 now and still to this day I consider Ocarina Of Time to be the best game ever created.
I played a demo of it in a JCPenny and spent 45 minutes before being pulled away by my grandmother. I later got it for Christmas that year. MAgic
They just don't make video game music like this anymore. Crazy how this music can teleport me back to my childhood just like when that skinny guy from Ratatouille tried Remi's food for the first time.
I wonder if anyone who works for the government or FBI wish these games could make a comeback...... 🤔
You mean ego?
“I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.” - Andy Bernard
Nya, I say that today is "The good old days" too. We have to make the most of them before we miss them too. The difference between 2020s and the 90s is that now we are the ones who make the world the way it is. Let's make it as fun, crazy, and cool as we can! :D
Nostalgia is a brutiful thing.
Wisdom is knowing today is the good days
Today is the best day of your life.
@@NewGamePlusPodcast Brutal + beautiful?
I miss those good times, my brain knows better, it knows the HD, the 4K, the 60 FPS, but I will never forget those good times where I went to my friends, sat on the carpet, and played smash bros, mario 64, and zelda!
Can't recreate some of those beautiful moments. But we can always remember them with fondness in our hearts!
Same feelings. That's why I mostly play with my old consoles and not the new ones.
Haven’t seen you in a while:)
Absolutely this. And trying to shove the joystick on your friends controller so they accidentally say no when offered a star on mario party XD
@Some Random Guy I'm with you. I finish a modern game and I'm done with it forever. But 20 years later and I'm still playing NFL Blitz, F-Zero, San Francisco Rush, 1080, Wave Race, etc.
Please take us back to the 80s 90s and early 2000s 😢❤
RIP Josh. I will never forget my first foray with the N64. It was all because of you.
This brought back so many awesome memories. I remembered it was my 9th birthday and my dad pulled a wrapped box from the closet. My mind was racing trying to figure out what it was. As I unwrapped it I immediately saw the huge green "N" in the corner and I couldn't contain my excitement. My parents didn't have a lot of money at the time and I connected the dots on why my dad was having to work late for a few months leading up to my birthday. My parents couldn't afford to buy me games and one of the gifts from my mom was a wrapped Blockbuster bag with Super Mario 64 rental for a week. Everyday that entire week coming home from school I raced to finish my homework, inhaled my dinner, then spent the last 3 hours of my night playing Super Mario until my bedtime. I used all of my birthday money from my family and did some yard work for the neighbors so that I could buy Super Mario 64 on my own after returning it to Blockbuster. A few more months of yard work I was able to afford Mario Kart 64. Friday nights were game nights and we would all play Mario Kart together. My mom got really good and my dad's favorite character to play was Yoshi. I love you mom and dad, thank you for the memories.
🥰
🥲
Well this gave me goosebumps. I'm happy you have such fond memories
♥
Thanks for that, buddy. I sincerely hope that you and your parents are doing well by today.
I also remembered my good old days with my siblings and friends. We played it back in the late 2000's, a friend introduced it to me. I used to play it 2-hours/ day when not on school examination period, and then my sister after me, and then my brother after her. We got instanctly addicted to it, and after that, I introduced it to other friends who got all excited as well to play the game. Mario had a huge impact on our lives. And after that, a year later to be precise, I discovered my greatest passion in the gaming world: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I remember things such as getting with a ton of its music (Windmill Hut, Sun's Song and Forest Temple, for example) stuck into my head for hours; remember that me and my brother played it together and grew Link up on the same day. We were genuinely enraged against Ganondorf. I remember when I first headed to Lake Hylia with grown Link and exclaimed to my brother: "Look what this bastard did to the Lake!", and then to Zora's Domain, and everywhere else on the game... Thanks, God, for these days..
"Nostalgia is the best, and the worst, emotion a human can experience."
there is a decline in modern gaming, it's not like how it used to be. having limitations created art. now games look beautiful but are empty
@Joeh Productions I agree, we haven't quite tapped into it yet. VR is gaining momentum now that it's affordable. Wait until we start using gloves, boots and belts for it, the experience will just get better depending on the directions it goes.
@Joeh Productions Witcher 3 might make you feel a little better about that.
@Joeh Productions I realized I meant to reply to Poopie Pants with the Witcher suggestion haha
Now that is the title for an essay worth reading!
Fuck man, I miss those days, I hate being an adult, everything was so much simpler, all you needed was a small tv, your console, and hours of gameplay without internet, micro transactions, or life issues. If only there was a way to go back in time and relieve those happy days.
Now I have all the consoles, the internet, my own money power to buy games, yet I only turn my consoles on once in a while...
In the words of Andy Bernard from The Office - "I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you actually left them" :'(
though we can never go back, its good you haven't forgotten those days. To the old school John *raises a controller*
youre always in the good old days
This comment got me all choked up 😢 so true, well said
There’s just an incredible melancholic feeling that I get when dire dire docks plays just unreal.
I remember being so impressed when the percussion dropped in and out depending on whether you were in or out of the water. A simple touch but simply magical.
I remember being so impressed by the music that I actually avoided doing that level because it made me feel some type of way that can definitely be called melancholic.
Yes yes yes!!
Yes!! That and Princess Zelda from Ocarina of Time
I miss these days...no worries, no stress, no real cares. Just a time where you could actually relax and enjoy life. I remember the smell of my room, the joy I felt, and the stress free environment. I so wish I could go back and stay there...if only...if only... Feeling the wind blow through my bedroom window, the sounds in the room, the smell of food my mom is cooking and hearing the noises from outside.
those of us who actually look back and say we had a good childhood, good parents; we're a fuggin rare commodity these days. Its like its fashionable now, to compete for how bad you had it growing up
You have stress and worries now? What about?
If only
Damn, man. You're right.
On point man. 👌🏻
My mother passed away a few weeks ago.. she bought me my first n64 and drove around trying to find me 007 at blockbuster, I miss these days and her.
We have explored the realm of fantasy together and share in the common memory of our own never land.
Edit:Though we may never return to that time, we can close our eyes for a moment and let the music bring us back. I appreciate everyone’s love and support, it means a lot.
I'm glad this playlist could bring back some fond memories. ❤️

So sorry for your loss, Will.

Nostalgia!
I tend to like that year for some reason too.
I was a year old. I played most of these around 2003 when I was old enough to remember
When the Main Menu Theme for Ocarina of Time started, I literally stopped what I was doing and closed my eyes. So GOOD.

They were the best!
Yup. Miss the good ole days. I was born in 92' brothers
Born in 86, I feel like I was the perfect age to experience the NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis/Megadrive era. The golden era of video games if you ask me. The music is so special... As music gets more detailed/advanced, it loses a very certain something that the 90s melodic loops had.
@@InvisibleMangoYeah it was great! I really feel for the kids today, they do not know how bad they have it. 🤔
The 90's where a teenagers paradise!
Two years later, I'm still here for the vibes.
Thanks for sticking around!

Dire, Dire Docks is the PERFECT song to start this off with
Kind of just the perfect song period.
@baileysmithful to me is "water level", don't remember the names, dont care enought to remember them.
@@fernandomartin9190 I personally hate water levels.. But god damn do they usually have some of the best music.
I was seaching for this comment! :)
@baileysmithful Because that's what the actual track is called?
The first track was instant nostalgia
It hurts how much nostalgia I get
the 64dd bootup sound?
Fascinating.
I didn’t expect this video to hit me like that right from the go
Yes it really was..
I can't even count how many times I've listened to this playlist. As most of us here, I grew up playing the N64 and absorbing so many incredible songs that became a part of who I am. Even the songs from games I didn't play are somehow calming and nostalgic. I mean, look at all of us. Sharing memories and unique stories. Being brought together by one common thread.
Never underestimate the power of nostalgia.
Thank you New Games Plus for the best N64 music playlist, period. Not to mention the visual aid. Nice touch!
Thanks for taking time to leave a kind comment. We’re glad we could reminisce together!
This is by far the best playlist to chill, work, throw yourself into the nostalgia realm. I'am 32 years old, with a lot of good memories from the n64 days, as today almost everyday working at home i listen to this soundtrack and i can focus and relax as i doing my work. I can't describe exaclty into words what is the feeling of confort and coziness. At this point in my life i have a wife and a 2 years son, very diferent from that time in my life that i didn't have to work or have responsabilities, but with this type of music i can feel the exact same familiar ambient that i have when i was a child. I found myself truly happy, because i have a family that i chosed to have, with the same vibe as those that i played n64 with my father and mom together, and a healthy relationship with my brother.
It's nostalgia. And this is a very healthy way of using it. Instead of longing for the past, you're appreciating what you used to have while also appreciating what you have now. That's what I do. I'm going to look back on my life now with the same nostalgia as I'm feeling for my N64 days. I'm in a very similar position as you. Mid 30s, 2 year old daughter.
so wholesome ;-; you gonna make me cry
music is powerful, it can store some of the most irreplacable memories and feelings. i'm glad to live at a time where so many adventures from my childhood can be saved in a touching song or two. peace and love to you and your family!
I have a daughter on the way and can't wait to introduce her to some of these classic games.
congrats on your life accomplishments so far, friend. see you on the other side
This is when video games were made for enjoyment, and relaxation. No DLC, microtransactions, intentionally addictive qualities to make you waste your life and your money; just pure enjoyment. These will always be the golden age of video games in my eyes. ❤
not wrong man, back when publishers wanted nothing more then people to just enjoy themselves.
Yep. Youngens don’t know what they missed
Oof. Got me.
It was the end of an era. Our new era is all materialism and selfishness. The 90’s/early 2000 was the peak of modern society. Change my mind

Dude, Im a 2000's kid. Never had a Nintendo64, but I do understand how amazing this is. The nostalgia that this brings to people its a sentiment so precious, that even thought I do not share it with the Nintendo64, I do feel it with the PS2, and other stuff of course. This give me chills, and its amazing
This reminds me of getting up early on Saturdays and firing up the N64, no school, procrastinating on homework 🙃, going to get groceries, having a home cooked meal from mom, going back to gaming all day and not having to worry about bills, work, and adulting. Back in the good ole innocent days. 🥲

Hearing the Ocarina of Time flute kick in on that title screen music brought tears to my eyes
So good
Me too, I cried.
Just wish I could go back to that time... relive it.. just for a while.
Thank you for this little gem.
I miss playing the N64, whoever is feeling nostalgic I think we can agree we had the one of the best childhoods a kid could ever ask for.
I got to go see The Legend of Zelda Symphony recently and it brought me to tears. Felt self-conscious for a moment until I looked around to see half the audience tearing up as well. Caught me off guard. So many good games from the SNES and 64 era. I was the prime age for all of it at the time
No doubt!!!💖

Zelda Ocarina of Time - Song of Storms
My first thought when I heard Dire Dire Docks was "Man I just got punched in the face by nostalgia".
I wasn't even close to even being born when the N64 was introduced but I'm still so interested in every game, soundtrack. I've been saving money so I can buy old consoles such as this one and I'm so excited. I love seeing everyone feeling all nostalgic and that I, someone from another generation, is still enjoying these games and songs!
that rules! the music is so great
Goddamn, take my like.
I'm 40, so I got to experience the golden age of gaming from the start and the N64 is still one of my favorite systems. It had some of the best damn games. I started to tear up a bit at the Donkey Kong 64 tracks. My sister and I put in so many hours on that game and we'd always leave our character in the main area if we needed a break, simply because the music is so calming. I didn't play all of these games, but a good majority of them.
I was 14 when it came to the US and my mother got the bundle pack from Costco that came with Mario 64. That Xmas, the whole family sat in front of the living room TV to play it. I think my mom still has a poloroid of that day.
Around the year 2001 or so, the Pikachu system was on clearance at TRU (rip) for $50, so I snagged one. I still have it. 💛 I wanna play my old games again. Emulators are great, but there will always be something irreplaceable and special about playing off those bulky cartridges and the rumble pack. And let's not forget the expansion pack you were forced to get in order to play DK64. My mom was so pissed. 😅
I'm always grateful to have grown up in the 80s and 90s. Amazing decades to be a kid.
I'm right there with you. It was something else. I forget how much the world has changed until I stumble across things like this and it takes you back to something beautiful.
@@lordbarberwigg oftentimes when I'm watching compilation vids of old 80s and 90s commercials or games, I get so lost in the nostalgia that I forget everything else around me. It feels like I'm a kid again watching TV or playing video games on the weekends or after school. Good times indeed.
DK 64 will always have a special place in my heart even though I know it was an uncreative cash grab built on the Banjo Kazooie engine. I received this game in the fall of 1999 when it came out. My brother was 11 and I was 7. I used to watch him play this game in our basement on our old Zenith tv. It was from the 80s but our Dad somehow rigged an N64 up to it using a VCR, I honestly was too young to remember how the setup came to be. Anyway we made it all the way to Hideout Helm but ended up getting stuck since we didn't have the rare coin. My brother heard from a friend then that you needed to beat the arcade game in Frantic Factory to get it. He never did end up beating the arcade game and eventually we moved on to different games. Fast forward to 2010 and he died in a car crash so he never will get to beat the game. In 2014 I plugged in the same N64 and started a new file on the same cartridge. I finally beat it for the two of us at age 23.
I'm in Tears! 😢 the story is just too tragic
your story is moving. personally i never got past that part of the game either .. those arcade games were no joke. im happy you decided to go back & complete it for the memory & honor of your late brother .. im sure he was right there w you cheering you on :) god bless. 🙏🏼
Holy shit.. that's almost exactly what happened with me. Me and my older brother could never beat that stupid mini game as kids, and he passed in 2013 in a car accident. I finished the game very shortly after his passing, but Im sad just thinking about it cuz I used to yell for him anytime I beat anything big/significant in the game, and I still wanted to when I finished that damn game..
Dk64 was so iconic to us, especially since we had that green dk64 edition console. We wore that thing to the ground.. and the amount of controller thumbsticks that were broken. Lots of memories with it all.
This has honestly been the only time I got emotional reading/writing something online. I'm truly sorry to hear you had a similar experience, but I appreciate you saying something. It brought back alot of memories, I just wish it didn't have to happen this way.
why... am i crying. oh yeah, because im an adult now and i dont have friends to play video games with anymore lol. Zelda title screen did it for me. ugh miss hangin out in my friend's basement playing N64 at 3am, eatin ramen noodles, trying to stop the microwave before the timer went off and woke up her parents...
Crying with you! 😭😭😭 We're trying to relive those moments with our podcast.
I now know why vaporwave- and retrosynth-esque playlists resonate so much with me. It’s not only because I have been blessed to have been born in the eighties and got a good grasp of the nineties. Of course, there is a melancholic and nostalgic vibe that is responsible for my initial interest to listen to this type of music. However, there is something more. A feeling which may be hard to describe, but I’ll try. It is a feeling of isolation, solitade, loneliness. When me and my little brother used to play games on the N64 or Gamecube, it was just us on the attic of my parents’ house. Games were developping very fast back then, from 2 to 2.5 and 3D. All these changes were coming to us at a rapid pace and we just strapped in and enjoyed the ride. Kind of like the feeling you got when you first watched Jurassic Park. It was insane. This was the futute? I’m all-in! Me and and my best friend used to play goldeneye for hours on saturday evenings, just us. No one else. We would even skip school dances to just play this game we loved. There was nothing weird about it, we just liked playing games more than going to parties where hormones prevented you from even thinking clearly. I was and still not am ashamed of it either. My girlfriend is pregnant and we are expecting our first child. Meanwhile, a couple of weeks ago I completed Resident Evil 2 on the gamecube. Might be a strange period of time to do so, but I still long for that feeling games used to give me when I was young. It was simpler but so much more pure. No on-line lobby with a bunch of people screaming profanities or whatever. Just a solid game you could play and enjoy with a friend or a brother.

I just beat Ocarina of Time for the first time since I played when I was a kid on my N64 ~24 years ago. Even though it had been so long since I played it, everything came back to me as soon as I heard the title song. Every time I hear the music I'm transported to a simpler time, sitting in my room with my little brother playing video games on our small TV. What a beautiful game, definitely ahead of its time.
It's Friday night. You've finished your homework and chores and have the whole weekend to spend playing your N64. Your mom lets you invite some friends over for the night(s) and orders pizza for you. You all take turns playing your favorite games, or you play some games together.
Or maybe you were the type to play video games alone as a way to escape the harsh, bitter world, immersing yourself into another to forget and smile.
All the same, no system could truly illustrate these quite like the N64.
Thank you for the nostalgia trip.

@@samuelneese482 good on screen game play but those controllers if only they had ones like game cube back then.
I listened to this whole video while cleaning my house. I wanted something different. Not music of today. Not oldies. Not my favorites list. This popped up on suggestions and I said why not! This was perfect. Thank you!
So glad we could help you clean the house! When you need to again, check out our PlayStation playlist. Just as good!
This is actually super good with nostalgia. Brings back so many memories. It's interesting how we lived as a child and moments to share.
Wow this is exactly me some 24-25 years ago, i had a small Sony TV small like this one in the video. Playing Zelda OoT, Mario 64, Blast Crops, Wave Race, Bomberman, Mischief Makers in my cozy room at 21:00. Nostalgia bruh..
The Zelda OOT opening song is a childhood classic
With a capital C.
Still the best zelda to this day
Best game I've ever played
Holy fudge this takes me back! This background reminds me of Friday and Saturday nights when my mom let my brother and I's friends over for a sleepover. They would bring their N64 controllers and we would be up until midnight playing Mario Kart, Mario Party, Smash Bros, Pokemon Stadium, Didddy Kong Racing, Jet Force Gemini, Banjo Tooie multiplayer, and Goldeneye. Man I miss the 90s...
Doesn't get much better. 😭
Your comment with holy fudge took me back
You stiII can pIay these memorabIe games again, right?
@@NewGamePlusPodcast WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?!
My cousin and I did mushrooms one night and we just let Dire Dire Docks (the first track) play for 6 hours on repeat in a room with laser lights. It was a ride.
Swear to god, this video is getting me through my engineering degree and keeping me (somewhat) sane. It's the highlight of many of my days. I owe you one.
This is so bitter sweet to me... like, it brings me such fuzzy nostalgic comfort but at the same time my soul is weeping over the loss of those childhood days. There’s no going back. Ever. And it hurts so bad.
Anyway, thank you so much for this. The music selection and your custom made background is incredible. I hope you know how moving this video is to myself and so many others.
So glad that we could contribute to your nostalgia!
Oh shit!
you can always break out the ol N64 and lie on the floor in the dark with a lamp on.

Life is a resonant ring of eternal nowness. those days never ended
Man, Dire, Dire Docks… Always takes me back to my childhood days spent playing Super Mario with my mom and my brothers. It transports me to hot summer days, the a/c is on full blast, and we’re all together for those few hours when we sat around the tv, taking turns playing that wonderful game.
How much has changed since then. We’re all separated now, either by distance or just sad, unfortunate circumstances.
I hope those days were just as memorable and comforting for my family as they were for me.
I miss you guys.
Damn you just read my heart...
Same here!
You've still got all of us, your extended gamer family, lol
🧡
sigh... adulthood hit like a train. im 31 now. all separated in a foreign country..
Snowboard kids 1 and 2 are such hidden gems. I wish more people knew about it. One of my favorite series of all time. Thanks for making this.
Absolutely in the Top 10 best games on the Nintendo64, easily! The soundtracks are soooo good and the gameplay so relaxing yet competitive.
Amazing mix. I was born in 1997, and I never had a super huge library of N64 games. Most of these songs I don't have a memory of, but it's really comforting seeing all these people who do. The first track I knew right away (and it's also one of the few songs I can play on the piano). I remember being just 3 or 4 and having my dad help me play through Sm64, Ocarina of Tine, DK64, and many others. I even remember discovering Banjo-Kazooie when I was 10 and beating it myself. Great memories, super wholesome, and an incredible mix I come back to time and time again.
Memories for the win.
Nostalgia is comfort, longing and sadness all wrapped into one, complex emotions are always the most addicting
Our channel and podcast is all about that, nostalgia. So bittersweet!
One of the comfiest background art I've ever looked at. Something about it is so soothing for the soul lol
Custom made. Glad you like it!
Yesss it's super good!!!
Agreed,
The static in the tv is everything
Rika is that you?
i am not even an 90s kid but when i was a child in the 2000s my mom had a n64 and i always used to play on it, it´s so comforting to listen to n64 music while remembering all moments i used to have with this console
The year was 1999, Christmas eve. I wiped sleep from my eyes as I heard laughter down the hallway. I peered around the corner to see my uncle and brother playing Mario Kart 64. Colorful characters racing on two sides of the screen split. I was immediately enticed. I picked up the oddly shaped controller, selected a strange green creature with an abnormally large nose, and started my engine. I drove against the borders of the track the whole way. But from that point on, I was hooked.
Yoshi ❤
Adding the original title screens for each game was such a nice touch

Star Fox Select Screen has me feelin a certain way. This game I treasured, and played alone so often.
Listening to Star Fox almost made me cry. I played that game a lot when I was a kid, back when things were okay in my family. So much has changed since then. Would be nice to be a kid again.
Star Fox hit me too bro. More than any other song on this. I played that game a ton and I immediately recognized the tune when it came on even though my phone was locked. We would have been friends as kids 😁
It is the one that got me.
For me Ocarina of time hit me like that as it was my first Video game i ever played
Bruh, Zelda got me man...That game my grandfather introduced me to back on the Nes, I think the N64 was the last Zelda he played and enjoyed. =[ Miss him so much, ugh!!
@@phazonpirate5689 not my first one but definetly the one that got me hypnotised ! the music is graved in my soul forever ! i wonder if without the music i would have enjoyed the game the way i did....MARIO 64 TOO
I used to think of the past as the best days of my life, but now, watching my son play video games, I realize that these are the best years of my life.
Beautiful man. I agree
I needed to see this comment
Well put. I pine for childhood yet as I watch my 3 year old boy, I know I'll get to live vicariously through him to experience childhood again.
12:08 Is SO nostalgic. Hell it was nostalgic the first time I played it somehow..... But now..... omg.
This brought some tears to my eyes. I just miss being a kid and how simple times were back then. My best memories were playing mario party and mario kart at my grandmas house with my siblings and cousins. Nothing but happiness. And when we would behave I remember my dad would reward us with him playing zelda on the family tv (how funny is that) and how we would just sit there watching him for hours (and sometimes trying to backseat I admit). This music is just magic and I hold onto it always. Thanks for reading my friends and have a great night
Nostalgia is both amazing and horrible. Love to go back and revisit those times, but glad to have even lived through them.
“Watch” from Goldeneye is making me feel as badass as it did 20 years ago
Always.
This one didn't relax me at all. It feels like I just paused the game while getting shot at by 15 men, losing half of my remaining orange life bar just during the "look at the watch" animation
Damn, In my opinion, best FPS game ever made.. It accomplished so much with so many limited resources.
Just got home from work, had dinner, grab a cold one and kick back in my bed with this on in the background. Cheers!
Glad we could be a part of your evening!
I'm a 2000s kid but was born in the late 90s basically 1999 to be exact but here is my story how I got introduced to the N64:
I was at my Grandmas House went into the kids room and saw my older cousin playing the N64 he shared it with me and introduced me to every game that was on it my love for Pokemon started here with Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 and Pokemon Snap, then played a Mascot Racer like Diddy Kong Racing, experienced 3D Mario with Mario 64 I was amazed by it because I only played 2D Mario on my GBA SP at the time so it was mind blowing for me,played the wacky Japanese Goemon Mystical Ninja and the other Goemon game me and my little brother played so much of it,My favorite Yoshi game
was introduced me to Yoshi is Yoshis Story many people might not like it but to me the game is just wholesome fun with fruit eating Yoshis,Played underrated 3D Platformers as well like Chameleon Twist 2 and Glover, played a anime looking Platform game called Mischief Makers that was fun,Experienced my first MegaMan game by playing MegaMan Legends, played Banjo Kazooie Spiral Mountain is and still my favorite introduction level, Played fun Licensed 3D Platformers like Bugs Life & Toy Story 2,and played Zelda Ocarina of Time my first Zelda game as kid that is what cemented me into being a Zelda Fan. The N64 deserves respect it carried all of our childhoods.
I remember playing this game for the first time. Being 18 years old. Late 1990's... Opened up a whole new world of video games. first time playing 3d games. wow... This will always be my number one game of all time.
The ocarina opening song still feels like a punch to the stomach every time I hear it...
Things brings me back to the simpler times -- no smart phones, no social media, just good ol' N64 with some friends while eating pizza on a Saturday night.
Bliss.
Man! 😞😞

It's honestly hard to put into words reading all these comments and how just about everyone here has sat down at the age 7-10, or older (if born in the 80's). And just blew on the cartridge's, put on channel 3, flip the switch and just started playing something entirely new and unexpected. 25+ years later, and here we are going down memory lane because of how much chaos is happening in the world that we just want something like this back in our lives, or give this kind of lives to our off-springs.
Reading all these comments made my eyes watery and really miss these days. Home from school on the weekend and just play some N64 while your parents/parent let you stay up late.
I'm glad we can all share these memories on the internet together, thank you OP & everyone!!
The N64 is currently my main console…I have it hooked up to a CRT and I play it almost everyday…2023 and still going strong!! So many games I still need to play!!
1997 to early 2000's would have had so many souls swayed by this delight. Thank you Nintendo for being a lovely colour in my early teens.
I'm doing everything I can to give my kids a magical childhood, so one day their wonderful memories can be triggered by a simple tune.
That's my goal as well, when I get to that point!
Good point, and then adults needs to never forget what happiness truly feels.
I listen to a lot of these and it's rare to find a mix where I haven't already heard 80% of the tracks. Nice selections (and original productions!). Ethereal
man those goemon games had some of the best soundtracks... been really missing those game
Wasn't expecting to get hit this hard in the feels this morning. tostino pizza rolls - kool aid- chips- sitting on the carpet playing super nintendo and n64.. good times! no ....... AMAZING times!!!!!!
We stiII have good times today, but i know what you mean
Or playing those controllers with cheetos balls dust on your hands or powdered donuts dust. It's hard man...😛
I remember growing up and just sitting in my oldest brother’s room watching him play Zelda on the original Nintendo then Link to the past on the SNES. When Ocarina of Time came out, it was finally his turn to watch me play. Some weekends after he comes home from work, he’ll ask me to play so he could watch. Crazy how fast time goes by.
Those memories are so special. Glad this could take you back there for a moment.
Warm and fuzzies😊
Wow exactly my life, amazing
My younger brother and sister would watch me play OOT for hours. My sister died in her 20s unfortunately but I am glad I have those memories.
I grew up in a life of crime and isolation and depression. My mind is so painful. Sometimes when i feel like im fixing to blow my brains out ill look up music from the n64 days and it brings me some kind of peace that nothing else in the world can provide. It's been a long and agonizing road I've been on but i still have these little memories of sitting in front of a small snowy tv playing mario/zelda
there is something just so pleasant abt the old games something you really cant get these days nothing made now feels like a treasure like alot of these were and still are i wish i had more time in life to play the games ive never gotten to play
A time when everything was much simpler. To go back and temporarily relive these times without current everyday stress would be priceless.
It was the 90s and pretty good times for most. I had the same kind of rca TV with red white Yellow aux inputs for my n64 nes snes and genesis.
Life was ALWAYS stressful.
just stop liking trump, things will get better instantly, and then politically
That title theme from Ocarina of time is still buried within my soul, no music will make me feel Nostalgia like this
Last great decade. Born 1990. I wanna go back 😢. Thank you for the memories old self. ✌🏻❤️✌🏻

It's super versatile and it can be listened to in almost any setting and its such a good mix that fills me with nostalgia. Thank you for uploading this.
Hearing this brought back SOOO many memories! Reminds me of the late 90s and early 2000s.
This video is literally a tiny piece of the 90's that is still inside all of us who were kids back then, and refuses to die. It won't die until WE do, dammit! And even THEN, it might live on because we'll tell our kids about the great games and shows from our time!
May it live on forever!
Well said. #longlivethe90s
Totally agree. I honestly wish they still made CRTV's just so we could get that same nostalgia feel. I mean I don't mind playing Ocarina of Time on a modern TV but it just doesn't feel the same. If I ever have kids they are only going to be allowed to play the N64 or older games until they are 10.
Used to talk with the gf.. idk when we'll have kids. But when we do were going chronologically.. even if its 2035 they're startin off with galaga n pong.. we'll work our way up
@@samuelneese482 While I agree with kids playing the old games we grew up in the 1990s, I wouldn't want my kids to miss out what was popular during their childhood either. Letting them play both old and current games would be ideal even before they reach 10 years old. There are still great current games right now.
