This is an odd sense of nostalgia, I haven’t played some of these games but I still feel a nostalgic feeling, like I see myself from years ago playing these games, but I don’t have any memories of playing them.
I knew I couldn't be the only person who's felt this way recently! I felt that way especially with Resident Evil 4. The entire soundtrack and the menu sounds feel like things I should've grown up hearing but I was stubborn because I liked the older style and the demo for 4 when i was a kid was too hard lol. I played and beat it 5 years ago finally and was like wow, i really missed out with this game! It is strange though that you play a game in your 30s and realize you could've lived years knowing songs or vibes and had memories with those but you didn't have a specific console or didn't like rpgs at that point.
I would say Dire Dire Docks is the og of relaxing Mario themes. I used to go to sleep all the time to this after I got home from elementary school. Good times man we had it good in the 90s...

tostarena ruins from super mario odyssey is sooooooo so good. I feel like music from the mario games has a way of making music sound like its environment (might be bias since ive attached mental images to the music haha) but this sounds like youre in the ruins. And super mario galaxy 2 world 6 music sounds like youre surrounded by lava. Thank you for making this!! I listen to this video so frequently just to get my assignments done. Cosmic cove Galaxy was my favourite. I really loved to play those maps and enjoy this harmonious music, back when i was in elementary school and middle school

It's unusual to have a few Zelda soundtracks for a Nintendo playlist but it's actually refreshing: I often listen those music and it's nice to hear something else for once
I really appreciate how this mix isn't stuffed with random Pokémon songs. I respect the fandom, but most of their songs just don't fit the nice calm vibe of Mario games! It would be awesome if Xenoblade got some love as well!

tostarena ruins from super mario odyssey is sooooooo so good. I feel like music from the mario games has a way of making music sound like its environment (might be bias since ive attached mental images to the music haha) but this sounds like youre in the ruins. And super mario galaxy 2 world 6 music sounds like youre surrounded by lava. Thank you for making this!! I listen to this video so frequently just to get my assignments done. The nostalgia is so comforting.
Cosmic cove Galaxy was my favourite. I really loved to play those maps and enjoy this harmonious music, back when i was in elementary school and middle school
