She did a lot of great tunes in DKC1, like the map theme, all the snow and forest themes, and the temple theme, and I love the atmosphere that DKC3's OST creates. It gives a sense of exploration and the unknown that I think resonates through DKC3's world. Definitely not as melodic as Wise's tunes, but I'd say overall I prefer the SNES soundtrack.

IMO Aquatic Ambience will always be #2 and Stickbrush Symphony #1. I MAY accept the vice versa of that but nothing more. At the end of the day, this is still a classic chimp list and I love ya for making it!!!
I would definitely have Fear Factory and Gangplank Galleon swapped with Bayou and Water World and not have Snowbound at 2, but this list is about how I would break down DKC music
I'm rather disappointed with the choices for 7,8 and 9 considering tracks like krook's march barely made the list. Fear factory should be so much higher. Number 2 wouldn't be in my top 20. The track from the first level in the original dkc is an anthem and the treetop theme.
21:21 gang plank gallian by far the best one I remember getting to this poin in the game after all those hours of playing just to get to this song. Its a memorable song and a sad one indeed becuase you knew that the game was going to end and finally aftrr all those stages you finnally get to beat the pirate who has been trying to stop you. Teaching you that everything must come to an end although might be sad but you have the power to make it as memorable as ever Love this song. A lot of my childhood memories come rushing in listening to this song
My memory was "beating" King K Rool (would have been first time I ever beat a video game) and me jumping around yelling "I beat Donkey Kong Country!". My sis looking at the credits and being like "Um, Richard?", then I died xD.
Great compilation! There are very good ones from DKC3 that I missed: Rockface Rumble and Nuts N' Bolts. But it's my personal choice, the ranking is really good!
12:37 Krook's March, such a hip-hopable track. Honestly it's begging to be remixed into a sick beat for commercial hip-hop. But it's also SUCH a Rareware track! It really makes me think of both DKC and Banjo Kazooie and just seems to have all the elements of Rare-ness to me. I think a very overlooked track too. It's very good. I wanna hear a bunch of reinterpretations of this!
Yea David definitely hit the pirate vibe but he did so many tracks with heavy percussion they sound like modern rap beats. If you’re really into this stuff. A lot of people on SoundCloud have ironically rapped on DKC beats

Flight of the Zinger is a hit. I need to finish this series all the way through. I've only played DKC for SNES but not 2 or 3 yet. I played DKCR for Wii and 3DS and also played Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze on Wii U and Switch but I never played 2 or 3. They have been on my backlog for a long time and now since they have been on Nintendo Switch Online for so long I have no reason not to play them besides having too many games. In a way I'm glad I haven't played them yet because I love the original SNES game and have heard that 2&3 are just as good and better.

Great compilation! There are very good ones from DKC3 that I missed: Rockface Rumble and Nuts N' Bolts. But it's my personal choice, the ranking is really good!
12:37 Krook's March, such a hip-hopable track. Honestly it's begging to be remixed into a sick beat for commercial hip-hop. But it's also SUCH a Rareware track! It really makes me think of both DKC and Banjo Kazooie and just seems to have all the elements of Rare-ness to me. I think a very overlooked track too. It's very good. I wanna hear a bunch of reinterpretations of this!
Look up Crazy Piano Trio on iTunes they cover full DKC soundtracks on piano. They do a lot of other old Nintendo games on Piano aswell. There amazing
Yea David definitely hit the pirate vibe but he did so many tracks with heavy percussion they sound like modern rap beats. If you’re really into this stuff. A lot of people on SoundCloud have ironically rapped on DKC beats

BaRdOk LoRd is it a coincidence that stickerbrush and forest interlude are most peoples favorite? those 2 have always been my most memorable partly cuz they felt trippy to me, I'm just shocked to find everyone else love them too! Its pretty cool

Flight of the Zinger is a hit. I need to finish this series all the way through. I've only played DKC for SNES but not 2 or 3 yet. I played DKCR for Wii and 3DS and also played Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze on Wii U and Switch but I never played 2 or 3. They have been on my backlog for a long time and now since they have been on Nintendo Switch Online for so long I have no reason not to play them besides having too many games. In a way I'm glad I haven't played them yet because I love the original SNES game and have heard that 2&3 are just as good and better.
