Lyrics:
This is the last day of our acquaintance
I will meet you later in somebody's office
I'll talk but you won't listen to me
I know what your answer will be
I know you don't love me anymore
You used to hold my hand when the plane took off
Two years ago there just seemed so much more
And I don't know what happened to our love
Today's the day
Our friendship has been stale
And we will meet later to finalize the details
Two years ago the seed was planted
And since then you have taken me for granted
But this is the last day of our acquaintance
I will meet you later in somebody's office
I'll talk but you won't listen to me
And I know your answer already
This is the last day of our acquaintance
I will meet you later in somebody's office
I'll talk but you won't listen to me
I know your answer already
I know your answer already
I know your answer already

The greatest female vocalist of all time.
Nothing compares to Sinead.
Absolutely
Of all time!
Agree 100%
That's a bald faced lie.
I had such a crush on Sinéad that started in 1989. I saw her live several times in Boston and New York in the late 80's and early 90's and again in Dubai in 2015.
Sinéad was loved by so many and she didn't know it.
She is the best female vocalist of all time in my view. RIP dear Sinead
I keep coming back to this performance because I think it exemplifies what made Sinead so great. A brilliant song delivered with a mixture of delicate beauty and raging intensity. Incredible!
Couldn’t have put it any better
Me too- literally dozens (plural) of times
A
100
Well said!!
What an angelic banshee.
Jesus Christ, you would have to be a rock for that not to give you goosebumps! Rest in Peace Sinead. You will be remembered as one of the very greatest vocalists of all time.
The bravest woman in music history. The world still ows an apology...!
As much of a soul shattering song as ive ever heard. that voice in this woman gives it a million times more effect. no one can ever cover this song and get its message across like Sinead. you cant know if you havent been in that office, i pray you all never do. RIP Sinead O'Connor
Poet. Musician. Writer. Woman. Mother. Warrior. Sinead, thank you.
To achieve so much with minimal music industry imput is staggering.
❤💯
❤❤❤❤❤
Grma Sinéad
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
R.I.P. Sinead... Angels will carry you home with your son....
More talent in her little finger than most so called superstars of today RIP Sinead ❤
Yes! Well said❤
Seriously!
💯
True, sorry I can not relate to Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and so on. Am sorry, but the depth there in their music is somehow missing.❤ they dont put a statement. Sinead has so much profound to say❤❤. On and off stage, no matter whrn and where. ❤❤❤
And, Sadly here we are 🥀🥀🥀
The last day of our acquaintance. Rest in Gentle Peace Sweet Girl.
There's simply no other artist like her
"You used to hold my hand when the plane took off" That kinda says it all.
Makes me cry 😭.
Sleep with a clear conscience, sleep in peace.
“This is the last day of our acquaintance” RIP sister 🕊️
R.I.P Sinead o'connor... Troubled no more 😢😢😢
Rest in peace my beautiful Sinéad o Connor fly high 🕊️🖤❤
I was a 14 yo Black kid from Philly when I got into Sinèad O’Connor. Ive been a fan for the last 35 years. Rest In Peace, Rebel! You spoke to me when I was going through one of the toughest times of my life!
I hope everything is working out for you now. Go n-éirí an bóthar leat a chara
@@peteymax It is. Thank you. I am well.
We Love You, Sinéad!
That was always Sinead's greatest gift - the ability to express emotion and connect emotionally with her listeners through her art. Over three decades I have connected with her. Rest in peace beautiful girl.
No one else in the world has that kind of control. Of her voice, of the audience, of the entire performance. RIP, Queen.
She literally got me through high school. Still remember every single word to her songs. The raw passion she had is still untouchable to this day. RIP Sinead
I was privileged to watch Sinead perform this live ... what a woman! ☘💚
Words cannot describe my jealousy my friend!!! So incredibly happy for you though!! 🙏🍻
I literally can’t imagine…She’s divine. and you are so lucky!
Omg, that must have been amazing. I'm not gonna lie, I envy you! And I'm happy for you. We will really miss her. That's real raw art, none of these pop starlettes you see now...
I had the privilege of seeing Sinead make a surprise appearance at a concert in SF. She stepped out onstage and did what she did better than anyone. It was captivating. Her passing saddens me greatly. Kids that know her only for the controversies really missed out.
Always all the rawness and passion, heart on sleeve and emotions ripped to the nerve ends. Sinead never 'just sang', she lived every syllable. Her incredible voice was as much her instrument as Hendrix's was guitar.
Like no one before or after 🙏
@fennytall I've got blurry eye's as it's 2 am but your name looked like the drug-name fentanyl, do you use it, if so you won't for long 'cos it's a killer. Just warning ya, if I'm wrong Have a nice day!
We are all much different from what we used to be: older, heavier, and more tired. This is what happened to this extraordinary woman, she got... older, and had to make so many hard choices dealing with life and health as do we all. She does her best, all the while being honest about herself, her life, her music, and uncomfortable issues like abuse in the RC Church. Her reputation never recovered from that issue, but she was SPOT ON!
She was and still is of the rarest of talents: a treasure!
Well said. She is never scared to speak her truth
Respect.
She was proven right about the church abusing children. When does she get an apology from everyone who disparaged her protest?
She was f**ken right - let’s not forget that
Heard this on the radio this morning as I was driving home. DJ came on at the end to announce her passing and I just had to pull and sit for a while.
😩🙏
I feel you..🙏 I wasn’t driving when I heard the terrible news.. but I stopped all I was doing .. it was really upsetting.. She was an angel.😇🥰🙏 May she rest in peace.
It's like she's performing an emotional exorcism on stage. Powerful. Real.
It’s like she’s channeling the simultaneous pain, anger and heartbreak so many women have experienced …. Deeply. She IS the eye of the hurricane.
❤Stor saknad fantastisk sångröst from Sweden ❤❤❤❤❤RIP 😢
I love how Sinead goes from sadness to anger here. OMG I'm hearing the most outstanding voice of a legend. Sinead Forever.!.!.!.
Wholesail! Sadness and thoughts of past goodness and thennnn... The amazing snap to a whole different plane. Absolutely magnificent 💥🎶💥
She sings with such Beauty and passionate intensity.
Yes. You can really feel it... just swelling up. Oooomphh!
I feel like her every performance is one big group therapy session. RIP, my love.❤
so incredible to see her stalking around the stage like an angry, beautiful, wild animal, howling out her anger and sorrow. miss her so much.
A truly truly beautiful rendition of a stunningly gorgeous song.
When i heard the news of Sineads passing i swear i cried.
Probably my favourite female artist of all time....
The voice, the person, the whole package.
This song is one of the best... Especially this live performance.
Thank you Sinead, i miss you more every day and to know there will be no more of this breaks my already fragile heart.
Missed more than you already know.
Love always xx
This is one of the best versions of of the the top 15 most gut wrenching songs of all time...and im old
I feel so many emotions when I hear her voice.
Her death hits different. That voice & mind. Defiance. Truly sad.
Still love listening to this... Anyone else??
Yes, me too!

I love Sinead, what a beautiful soul, and strong with it. This Song says so much about her.❤
I love her and miss this wonderful being here.
Miss you so much my daring Sister.... You were and still are a Warrior Sister. They never could and never can silence you. Rest in Peace - You don't carry the burdens of this world now. Im happy for you not to witness the crazy destructive world that you warned us about for decades. God bless you with Peace ease and LOVE. 💜💙🤍🤍🤍💔❤🩹🤍🤍🤍💚
A unique performer, her passion is so visceral & raw & she manages somehow to inject theatre into her interpretation.
Not acting, her passion is Art &
The way she expresses her emotion can be alarming but its
Compulsive, you cant take your eyes off her.
I have always loved her music & words & lyrics & empathy, but
She was NEVER appreciated!
But, she didnt care, she didnt care what anyone thought
I still think she would have been touched by our thankfulness that she gave us her whole self
She came with laughter, strength, fragility, and translated all her emotion into
A scared & torn musical tapestry
For us to devour.
I shall miss her, but i see her beyond the earthy life & shes laughing at our requiem for her,
Calling us stupid C*nts
I want to say my thank you for the pleasure & pain her words regurgitated from within me
I know she wont rest in peace
And why would she start doing that when she never rested in peace in life.
Wherever you journey onto Sinead, take all you need & never look back.
Peace & Love
🇬🇧👧
So beautifully put.. 🙏 🥰
Her *POWER* is completely *OVERWHELMING* …I can’t.
❤️🙏😭🍻
Like some drama/talent/genius junkie, I scurry back here yet again to re-watch one of the most hypnotic and pulse-raising musical performances ever. I am smitten by the sight, sound and sincerity of her.
As one would or otherwise, should be.
I have not been able to stop listening to her since she passed. Brings up so so many feelings of my youth , her voice, teaching me that that inner rage is ok and perhaps even warranted. It does not manifest in violence or self destruction. It manifests in the fierce courage to love and express one's self.
She is pure magic. One of a kind. RIP warrior queen, strong yet vulnerable. 🙏
The studio version of this is spectacular, but this performance is just straight-up empowering!
Loved this album when it came out. I still do, but all of it hits so much harder since my marriage ended, in the worst way possible. We met right as The Emperors New Clothes came out. Couldn’t listen to it at all until recently. What a great performance. It’s exactly how I felt walking into that lawyers office after 28 years.
PRINCESS
SIN..
BEAUTY..
🧡
Too many people claimed to be a huge fan because of 'Nothing Compares to You' but most of them can't name one other song. This is definitely one of them people should know. And Black Boys on Mopeds, Three Babies, and about 50 others ✌️ I hope you found peace with your son 💕
This still gives me goosebumps. Made a comment here 8 years ago that the 'stuttering film effect’ they used was annoying as I just wanted to see her perform but now just grateful for any footage of her singing live. Such a joy to see her performing here but so sad she has gone. What such a talented, humble, brave. and caring person. She was also full of fun, very intellligent and witty.
Here in 2022 & as long as I am alive, I will continue to listen to her music. When this song came out I had just broken up with my fiance & he was the one that got me into her music so every time I hear her on the radio I have to pull over & bawl my eyes out. It is so incredible that a song can bring you back in time & really make you feel like it is happening right in this moment in time. I love her now just as much as I love her then, a true legend! I shaved my head just like hers & my Mom flipped out LMAO!
Gone, but never forgotten. What a talent, what a voice, what a woman. Dis manibus, Sinead. May you be at peace at last.
She was searching for peace for so long, I hope this lets her soul rest (and be damned with the church disapproving of S) 🙏😩🇨🇦
I always loved her music and views even when society didn't
I miss her so much. she was such a voice for us... i loved her, and lost her... I want her back..
She had enough... no one listened, they made money off her..... Thats all they wanted.. she structured it for her 2 kids, they will benefit... if they follow her advice. She was so beautiful....
Punk as Fuck.
What can you say?
Sentiment Driven home hard.
A song with Meaning and Purpose.
Gotta Love Sinead.
Luv and Peace.
amen
How is this women not musically revered just baffles me
Yep. That’s what you get for speaking your mind- and against the Catholic Church!! She deserves a mass apology. As she said, to speak your truth is to dig your own grave
I miss you Sinéad
Always loved you and still do your so beautiful ❤
My favorite Sinead song since I was a kid and I'm now 38... Please tour girl x
Agree, brilliant song IMO
My God, she was amazing.
I listened to this over and over when my ex and I split. While driving truck i used to scream this out at the top of my lungs. I still get tears of joy and freedom listening to it.

The last day of our acquaintance sinead o Connor original
...and 8 years later I'm going through the same thing. Wish I knew 8 years ago what I know now.
Same. Got me through some dark days, screaming it out. Cathartic. Especially the end from the live album: "and you can shove it!!!!!!"
Eu sou sua fã curto todas suas músicas elas me acalma meu nome é Maria de presente prudente beijos
Watching some clips from this concert. WOW! I always knew she was an incredibly talented writer and singer, but I never knew she was such an electrifying stage presence and performer.
RIP Sinead. You were a beautiful but troubled soul. I hope you are at peace now. Your music got me through a lot.
Me as well ✌️
So many times…she was there singing to me also.
Biggest regret I have is never seeing this legend in person,
her voice is scary good. Rest peacefully Miss. O'Connor 🙏🙏
RIP Sinead, devastated
May she find peace in her rest.
She put so much real passion & emotion into her music. I could always feel it in the pit of my stomach. RIP you beautiful soul 💚
I had the honor to see her live. The power and emotion filled the whole audience. The best and most genuine show I have ever been to
Same here. Paramount Theatre in Denver Colorado.
Definitely!!
Me too !
Rest in peace beautiful lady...I will miss you always...Canada loves you!
She was so f@#%ing fierce.
In the best way.
She still gives me chills and tears.
Sinead your music is so powerful and has so much meaning to me there's just so much emotion in spirit and heart into it goddamn you're so beautiful RIP.
Beautiful, fierce, insanely talented. One of the greatest singers/songwriters of the Western world and probably the most important Irish musician along with Van Morrison.
Dolores O’Riordan?
🇮🇪💃🇮🇪🤷♂️🍻
@@js70371 Dolores was great too. However, she was not a solo act, as far as I know.
Makes me cry my eyes out! Oh my god she was so frigging passionate and real. I miss you so much. My heart hurts.
Sinead is the best female vocalist that I have ever seen.
What about Patti Smith?
i agree. sydney opera house around 2014. best i've seen what a voice.
RIP and thank you.
Sinead's little smile in response to the crowd said it all. Remarkable performance while she looks absolutely incredible.
A beautiful animal. Rest peacefully and in Power goddess. Thank you.
my most favourite song by Sinead EVER! The strength and power of her voice makes me crumble.
She was so talented and smart .rest in peace dear sinead and Shane
Nothing compares to your voice, darling!!
On the scale from 1 to 10, I give this live performance a 12! 🤩🤘🔥🎸
A 12? A 126. You will never ever hear a better live performance. This is so fucking good, to say it in Sinead's words. Beyond words. I keep on watching.
RIP 😢 one of my favorites
Can anyone forget this angel voice????
Never.
XxX Her fighting spirit lingers, always. Rest in Peace, Sinéad O'Connor. Maybe you'll see your son again. XxX
Hope she' gets better love her music
A melhor cantora de todos os tempos é única. Você não será esquecida principalmente pelo legado lindo e incrível que nos deixou. Adeus minha Irlandesa Sinéad O'Connor.🎶🙏🕊
She is so beautiful, and to sing like that with her soul, wow man.
gives me chills...
Masterpiece… my favorite
Hey isn’t it just?!!! Pure sublime masterpiece! Me too! My favourite also!!
Wishing you peace, now. Thank you for sharing your ethereal voice with us. The world is a better place because of your music, courage, and strength. ❤😢
now this is how you ROCK a fucking song!! RIP Sinead 💟 i heard you girl💟
It's hard to beat that. Take a bow young lady...
Such loss. She was absurdly talented. One of her many seemingly effortless gifts was the way, here, she had the audience in the palm of her hand. Look at the first half of this performance ( one which I would call unimprovable). There are several points where she EXPERTLY, whether by intuition or design, stops the audience cold in their noise-making so that they will be sure to hear the whispered verse that is coming next. (Slapping the guitar at 2:51 is just one example of such a technique, and you'll notice others.) It is our privilege to witness such charisma in the service of art.
This is a remarkable live performance in every way!
AGREED! She looked AND sounded amazing here! 😍👍💪🔥
A powerful natural resource!
Thank God for the time she shared with us. Let Your eternal light shine upon her and grant her peace.
Bring serenity and strength to her family and friends. Amen
"I know you don't love me anymore" Absolutely crushing.
Repose en paix 🥰
I can't stop crying since I heard she died yesterday
Wish I was their ❤
This is why we need time machines, such brilliance needs to be enjoyed over and over again especially for us unfortunate souls who never got to see such an amazing talent, human , musician, rebel and truth teller in person.
Oh to see her live during her prime years, what an absolute privilege.
Whatever year she is in is her prime year. Sinead is the one. She's outstanding.
It certainly was to me. She was a beautiful person inside and out. In Pace Resquiet Sinéad 🌹
Saw this tour in Boston. Whole show was like this. Imagine just one “star” of today taking the chances she took here.
This loss hits me to my bones. Oh what her music means to me.
