When I was in my early 20's i went to a catatonic state for what seemed a lifetime, I was given tons of meds that made me sleep all day and the few hours I was awake I spent them crying. I really thought I would never see the light of day again, I was dying inside. And then I heard Sinéad's voice and it felt like an awakening, I heard her pain and recognised mine, I heard her strength and it shed light on mine, I listened to her music more and more and each day I found the courage to come back to life, it took me all I had but I managed to do it. Until one day I said "enough of that, I am taking back control over my life", threw away all the meds in the trash, went back to college, got my degree and I've been doing my best to stay alive ever since. Sinéad, if for some reason you ever read this, you are a beacon of light in my life and your music saved me. Don't give up, we're here for you the same way you were here for us for all these years. You are a saint for me, a positive energy on this horrible world we live in, a constant source of resilience and one of the major artists of these last few decades. Tomorrow I'll go light a candle in church for you, hoping its light will somehow reach you the way your music enlightened my darkest days. Thank you for everything that you've done for the world.

I grew up listening to this marvelous person. Her music chills me to the bone, everyone has a point to make and I do not hold hers against her. My only regret is that I never got a chance to see her live!!!
