FINAL ASSEMBLY Of My WRECKED Copart KIA Optima *Almost Perfect*

- My 2016 Kia Optima LX I bought from Copart is just about done! After getting it pulled back into place on the frame machine the doors are lining up very well. Now that the body work is basically finished I can reinstall the interior. First we'll need to reinstall the airbag module and seatbelt pretensioner installed.

Also, never noticed the dead pixels, and the lighting was perfect inside today - excellent work.
Laying here in the hospital with a 104.7 fever. And you upload a video! Thank you! I needed this. Your amazing and love the positive attitude you always have! Ever though about a collab with samcrac?
damn boy you need a fan
@@brysonshires9742 I'm in a ice suit and in my underwear. They have currently put 3 iv bags in me.
Be well soon!
Jesus dude thats terrible! I genuinely hope you get better soon

I am amazed at the job you've managed to do. The amount of trash, dirt & glass in the original one to being transformed into this.... AMAZING.
I feel like video quality is alway good on the channel. Really enjoyed this watching this Kia from start to finish.
John, watching you work one handed reminds me so much of watching my neighbor when I was growing up. He had lost his arm in a logging accident fairly early in his life. He made a point, after that, of doing anything a two armed man could do, but doing it better. It was a hoot watching him roll his own cigarettes. Anyway congratulations on working so well with one arm. :)
I missed this fix and sell videos. Looking forward for more flipping car videos.
So amazing guy!!! I really enjoy watching you put the car back together. Outstanding work!!!
Im still not used to seeing the R8 gone from the garage. I can't wait to see it return from Heffiner performance all tuned up.
I thought it was just a talking piece for a while!
Dude, how do you always know how to fix EVERY single thing on a car? I’m always amazed how easily you work on these cars like it’s second nature lol
Hey JR, if you can, can you please let us know when you sell the KIA? I’d be interested to find out how it goes! 😁😉
Such a great project. Instead of being junked, it’s a useful machine that will serve someone well.
Thank you for showing the airbag module and seatbelt process it helped cleared some questions for a car I’m rebuilding:)
JR you are the world's greatest one armed mechanic!
Car looks good JR. Looks almost original. It is very interesting how you can hold the camera in one hand and fix with the other.
I just love the way you do everything one handed. Great job 😀
LOVE WATCHJRGO!!!!!!! You have the best content, and it’s always a pleasure to watch!!
We don't have those stupid 'inspections' here in Montana. That's one of the MANY reasons we move out of Libafornia. Nice job on the car JR!
This makes me super happy john ross.
I love you channel whilst its fun watching supercars being rebuilt I loved this build
I like your videos but see you doing everything one handed stresses me out
These optima’s have super comfortable seats and a compliant ride.
Okay you convinced me that you once worked at an automobile assembly plant before. Thumbs up pal.
It's looking good honestly, good job
That was a good idea to take it to the car wash, it also showed that there were no leaks on the doors.
Thanks for putting out videos on Sunday.
Man, I enjoy when you tell us how much you spend.
Can't tell difference in camera! Thanks for video!
Would definitely get more views if the airbags popped lol
Then it will be watch JR rage lol
That would be an expensive fuck up lol and hurtful
Funny, but cruel.....lol
I kind of wish I was there behind him with something to pop loudly when he turned the key on.
Camera looks good man!!!👍
When you're so early that there isn't a thumbnail yet lol
Only Toe Nails
@@Abdullah..S When your only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a thumb nail.
Super interested in seeing what a salvage inspection is like. Fingers crossed they allow it.
Looked at all recently w/ Kia... Curious what you ended up getting for it? $ A beautiful car... the transformation is amazing!!! Nice job!
It's still for sale 😂
Great work, you have a reliable daily driver, for the long term.
Man you've gotten good at functioning with one hand
John R, young man, you NEED A TRIPOD!!! PLEASE don't make me send you one...and you know I will if it comes down to it! Watching you fumble with one hand trying to do some of the work is driving me (and other commentors) CRAZY!!!
I absolutely love your Channel! Keep up the great work!
The car really looks good!
When I was rebuilding my civic I had the same nightmare with the seatbelt! I had to take it out and put it back in like 4 times over
Bending the door frame to make it fit and/or seal better is done all the time at dealerships. Hell, one time we had a Honda service bulletin for a creak in the bottom of the B-pillar where we had to use a hammer & chisel to separate the 7 thicknesses of sheetmetal spot-welded together behind the pillar cover. It made a mess but it worked. Unless the door frame is actually loose, I wouldn't sweat it.
Quite the transformation! Nice work, JR! 🇺🇸🚜👍
In at 43, earliest ever!! Always enjoy JR!
This went pretty well.. Can we expect a return to copart?
Absolutely! 🍻
Really loving the music in this episode
Amber? Loved the video of you guys when you test drove that super fast Audi
Whats all over the back of the passenger seat?
no dead pixels! that's much better. But I have a question, JR can replace an entire engine from an Audi R8 but took his BMW M6 to the mechanic? I feel like he could do that kind of work no problem maybe a little help from a friend. I feel like you save so much money doing the work yourself.
Maaaan it’s looking gooood! Excited for the numbers break down. I’m flushing my old inventory now (all old $500 beaters ) and want to start doing one nice car at a time. Learning a lot from your videos. Appreciate it.
Will you be showing how the bowed out window frame on the driver's door will be fixed, on the next video? I have a slightly bowed out driver's door on my car, and I am interested in how you will be fixing it on this Kia.
Yo! JR! @730, is that dried blood on the back of the passenger seat?! LMAO!!
Enjoy all your vids! Keep them coming!!
Dried blood would have more of a brownish tinge to it, even on that dark surface. That looks more like soda.
You did a great job as usual. What is the splatter all over the back of the passenger front seat?!?!? Looks like a soda got sprayed all over it!
Still loving that Gold Wing
Great content as always. John Ross, you should consider using a head mounted camera for vlogs like this one.
Great little flip!
Great job John👍hope you make big bucks👏
A few drops.... due to the door frame being bent out and not sealing, easy fix, great job JR!
But is the entire effort and Costs really worth it?
That KIA looks nice! Thanks for sharing everything!
Good luck JR. I hope you sell it quick and turn a good profit.
Looks great! It also has important window working again!
7:30 What the heck blew up all over the back of the passenger seat?
Semen
Looks like some kind of drink. But JR said he’s getting this car detailed so I’d imagine that would be gone by then. I doubt that he’d sell the car with that stain on the seat. Wouldn’t give a good first impression to the buyer.
Pop, probably some huge cup in the accident. Will be gone tomorrow! 🍻
WatchJRGo cool! Car is looking great! 😁👍👌

I've owned more Kia and Hyundai than any other brands and man they're honestly a great deal for the price you pay. About 3 weeks ago, my daily ( 2009 Kia Spectra5 SX 1.6t) ended up having some issues that unfortunately didn't make sense investment wise fixing. I've owned it almost 5 years, put 80k miles on it, bought it back in early 2016 with only 70k miles on it right after the previous owner had done the timing belt service for $5K OTD and that thing has been such a great daily. It was full of features with a super nice interior and GREAT factory sport tuned suspension. That thing handled like a champ. Horrible gas mileage tho lmao. Well, I wanted a 2020 Kia Forte GT2 package but there were none in stock near me so ended up going with a 2019 MK7 Jetta which has been great but seriously the handling on the Spectra5 felt so much more dynamic and solid lol. The Jettas at Ziebart currently getting ceramic coating, sound deadening, and detailed and the dealership lent me a 2019 Kia Optima LXS and even this car fucking kills it! I stg no other manufacturer gives you the amount of features for the price you pay like Hyundai / Kia. Anyone should definetly look into one for their next car. It isn't the 90's anymore, South Korea is putting out some quality cars man!
My family just got a 2020 Tucson and it is incredible. The engine is smooth and surprisingly peppy for being the base engine, and it's stupidly comfortable and quiet.
Done a great job dude. Love the car! Also love that tune by Sarah Instrumentallist too.
Be interesting to see if the airbags would truly deploy if you were to swap the airbag control module with one from a car that was in an accident.
Great stuff you do sir!! Thanks for sharing what you do.🙂
I like the fuel tools. I am thinking of changing over .
I want this Kia!!!
If I could help Watch JR Goes work on the Kia Optima I would pack up the Hash Pipe with Rocky and get all schmoked up.
Looks like good car
Pause at 12:42 I can see the driver side door is not aligned perfectly or is the door just not fully shut?
The door was became like that during shipping, they said they were going to fix it in the previous video
My WatchJrGo video "fix" is satisfied! And I even learned something....good info brother!
John, the Qeustion is now will you be attempting project no 2 from Copart , would you do a Copart or IAA walk around... Video
What pixels? Nice repair job on the Optima.
Great video JR.so..what did the car cost? How much are you selling it for? I need a car like that one for my son. Thanks
Has Amber’s green tracker gone away?
I thought he had sold the Goldwing? Hmm maybe he just said he was going to sell it. My memory isn't what it used to be.
Never listed it, just mentioned it in the video. Everything is for sale! 🍻
How much for your reliable Chevy Volt?
Probably would take a hit on depreciation.
How much for the Porsche?
@@WatchJRGo How much for the dead pixel Camera? Lol
When you mess with airbags, you put the key in the run position, walk around front THEN connect the battery. :)
Looking good!
With the Veloster and now this, seems that Hyundai/Kia vehicles are pretty easy to work on.
i have replaced those air bag modules and it always made me pucker because of the replaced air bags.. dont know why but it always did to be honest. the car looks amazing always loved working on kia and hyundai those cars to me and what i noticed are supper reliable to be honest
Is the window leaking because the door repair isn't quite perfect? I'd hope you fix that before selling. 5 drips in a car wash may not be a big deal but that car on a long road trip on a rainy day could get real annoying.
Congratulations
JR complete the IronButt!
Was hoping to see the window frame fix 😔
So what's the grand total? How much are you into it, and then what's the blue book? Vs how much will you list it for?
Nice job so far !
Nice! Congrats and hope it passes!!
Amazing work. How much will it sell for?
Can we see amberghini some more?
I could be wrong,but I don't think they're still seeing each other.
Awesome work, great looking car. What's the music you're using in this episode, it's really good.
Are you going to get that door window frame bent back so it lines up?
What do think you'll be asking for that? Turned out great.
Nice job. If you can film the process at DMV to pass inspection, it would be a good learning experience.
Camera works great very good sound as well just wish you would use both hands when needed LOL
I can’t wait to see how the door jams come out. If the factory stickers were messed up from the grinding and welding, then it will always look like a hack job. I am upset because I think they were messed up in last video. Just a thought.
One of your best progects I enjoyed it. Needed a bit more Amber effect tho
I’m amazed you can make a profit on a salvaged car. Nice to see you do it right!!
I had a 85, 88, 89 K5, and I loved all of them, and they always needed something. I’d love to buy one from you, already patched up legit, as You been doing.
I also bought a 95 Ford Contour V6, and _nothing_ ever fixed it. I loved the lay out of that car, at the time. I always wished I could fully restore it, but I think it may have been crap out of the box. Out of curiosity I’d like to see you fix one.
IF you find one, I guarantee it needs work, or otherwise not running.
That’s just it dude .. if he makes a profit it’s purely because he’s on RUclips.. the value according to him is 13k but that’s almost certainly with a clean title
I have a Kia like this. These are nice!
nice car buddy love your videos
Wonder how long it will take to get the issues ironed out with the BMW M6? Still in limp mode and the used power steering rack he bought leaks.
Turbo it! Watch JR really go.
Things are looking nice! I just hope you'll detail the interior before selling it; the back of that passenger seat looks like someone had multiple accidents involving lots of bodily fluids all over it...
Or maybe it was a "handmade" problem
Great job
