If I were to get a Benchmade, it'd probably be a 940 variant and I've felt that for a while. I do live in a humid environment and sweat when active, so I'd have to be aware of that but performance seems great! Thanks for following up!

Thanks for this follow-up type review, it's always nice to see how a knife has held up and performed over a long period of time. 👍 I own 3 Griptilian's currently, but not a single 940...lol 🤣I really should get one for my collection, though. Take good care my friend and Cheers!

The only other knife I like as much as the 940 is the Delica 4 in k390. I lost my last 940 I had for countless years. That cut me deep losing it. Got another one though. M4 is probably a better steel for this knife, but s30v does the job fine.

No, M4 does not have good corrosion resistance.

For EDC it's more than resistant enough if you do basic maintenance. Obviously won't last in salt water areas or in the hands of someone that doesn't care for their gear though. I've got three M4 blades currently, only my Bailout has shown patina at the butterfly logo. My 940 and Native 5 remain pristine. Patina is normal. A bit of mineral oil after heavy use and voila, rust is not an issue.
