Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just had a flat after 1550 trouble free miles and this was perfect. I'm mechanical but all these screws are intimidating.
Thanks for making these videos Albert and Alberts assistant 😀 Very helpful for everyone. About the crossthreading of screws. I always use handtools first and turn the screw the 'wrong way' first, until I can feel the screw click into the correct groove, before I screw it in.
I saw your message. We didn't measure all the different screws unfortunately. Perhaps ECODRIFT.RU may have that information. Our content is more focused on the average person, whereas ECODRIFT gets very technical.
Nice video 👍 Pour debrancher et rebrancher les cables batteries rouge et bleu il y a un ordre ? On ne voit le rebranchent de ces cables dans la video .
Yes they do, the wheels that are air shipped cannot be shipped with batteries. But the normal boat ship for wheels that people buy, do come with their batteries. Pre-installed
There was a really cool street tire that came with the commander mini, but if you’re looking for one readily available now - there are the street tires that came with the v12 and 16x that will also fit.
This is my goal. I'll make the niche-boring videos that will prove helpful for years to come. Instead of focusing on the videos that will garner huge view counts off the bat.
I think it will over time - but the people who will watch these videos are the owners of this specific wheel. Compared to new wheel videos that can be watched by the whole community of riders.
@@2cells1pack I think videos like these also helps in determining if you want a specific wheel or not depending on how easy it is to work with and how bad/good it's made.
@@2cells1pack ewheels recommended the same torque as the axle bolts on those smaller bolts… I don’t think that’s right😅 I’ll try different torque levels on the old piece to see when it strips and report back🫡
Heads up for anyone intending to do this, if you only want to disassemble one side of the wheel make sure it's the left side as the mudguard bolts can only be removed from that side.
@@2cells1pack Funny I never noticed that quite a bit more consequential detail. xD I guess I was too busy being annoyed that I had to remove the other side too. But hey, at least I managed to repair the damn thing after a single ride in the rain killed it. Thanks for the assist!
Hey guys, thanks so much for the video- an you please do a rim swap for the wheel? Or a short video on key points, I bought the wheel, and have dented the rim 2x at 35 psi, its ok for now, but i don't have much faith in the rim longevity. Please and thank you...!!!
How long is the disassembly/reassembly ? I have a Kingsong KS14S right now and no joke it takes me 2 hours just to change a tire. If it's better i might consider upgrading.
honestly, it's hard to say on an individual's basis as everyone works at different speeds. I believe most EUC's are around the 2 hours mark comfortably.
2 hours is not that long for something you might only do once a year. Better to be slow and careful than speed through the process and make mistakes or have lots of screws left over when the wheel is assembled 😀
I changed my rim on the Patton, and after putting it back together, it wants to take off full speed, and I have to lay it down, instead of balancing. Any idea why?
@2cells1pack I didn't mess with the control board wires (not sure if that is where the phase wires are). Just unplugged the battery wires (red and blue). I was able to change the rim with the control board still attached. Do you think the motor could have been put on backward? I kept the wheel wires on the same side as the control wires? The wires come out the left side of the motor, and attach to the left side of the control board. Thanks. I'll think more about the phase wires.
patton is a good wheel....but definitely two issues here.....changing tire is so cumbersome....secondly, it s so hard to find street tire for this size :(
These vids are so valuable! Awesome work!
Thanks for the support!

this is absolutely the right way to do it.
9:55 To be mention, one of the bottom bolts are a little shorter
Do you know which ones exactly ?
Great video and useful content. Very well explained. As already said a great new channel 👍🏻
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback
Nice video 👍

On ne voit le rebranchent de ces cables dans la video .
No order needed
I counted 58 bolts and screws 😲
it is a lot ! ahha
excellent video really clear and detailed it will be very useful. Thanks
Thanks!
Do you happen to have the torque specs for the screws on that clamp?
I do not unfortunately. Manufacturers as of right now - do not publish any articles with that info.
@@2cells1pack that's unfortunate, if you get the chance maybe you could shoot that question to LeaperKim representative? Would be great to know!
I asked ... and they said there is no torque spec. We tried.
Great video thanks so much for this share
You are so welcome
Does the Patton not come shipped with the batteries installed? What a pain in the butt if true!
Yes they do, the wheels that are air shipped cannot be shipped with batteries. But the normal boat ship for wheels that people buy, do come with their batteries. Pre-installed
Solid video! Thank you.
Thanks!
Hoping batch 1 will be shipping soon Weather is getting really nice here. 😊
I believe batch 1 is getting to eevee's VERY VERY soon.
@@2cells1pack oh good!!!! Yeah!
Thank you very much for making this video! Great work!
Do you know of any specific street tire for the Patton?
There are a couple options out there. I'm pretty sure most 16" tires will fit.
Thank you very much!
Love it, thank you
no, Thank yoU !
They should add more screws
Hey, Albert! what street tire would you recommend for Veteran Patton? Thanks!
There was a really cool street tire that came with the commander mini, but if you’re looking for one readily available now - there are the street tires that came with the v12 and 16x that will also fit.
@@2cells1pack I was looking into Michelin City Extra 90/90 -12 54P
won't that fit?
I'm not too sure, the 90 profile might be a bit tall.

That's a very good point that I did not think about.
This is great, thank you so much : ) What torque setting do you use on your drill?
Weak setting! It’s a ryobi after all (brushed motor non HP+) hahaha
What’s the torque level on those clamp screws? Stripped one of the holes cuz I hand tightened too hard…
no idea. unfortunately manufacturer doesnt release specs.

you HAVE to do the left side, as the right side has the motor cable as well. There's no choice on this matter.

There is only one problem with that video, leaperkim has told me that they will not sell rims. Just full motors

It's definitely not bad at all. It's not like you're changing your tire every week :p
Great video! Doing a tire change in a few days here and this should help greatly! Honestly doesn't look to bad just time consuming.
It’s not bad at all. These new wheels I find much better than the older ones
Do be careful not to cross thread any screws
@@2cells1pack Missed your response till now. Will do thank you! Also would you recommend re-applying locktite to every single screw on reassembly?
