Imagine the passengers seeing a pilot taking their own flight controls to the cockpit...
It's a problem especially with older airplanes since they only have the older joystick serial port. Only recently have Airbus and Boeing started putting USB Type A ports on their airplanes which allows pilots to bring their own joysticks to work.
@@blancfilms i prefer xbox controller
Imagine the guys at security who actually scan your luggage and see exactly what you bring. I typically tell them it's in case ours brakes. Imagine their faces ;-)
@@A330Driverthat was exactly my first thought when I saw the video😂
or making a PA "dear passengers, our controller broke, has somone by chance a replacement in your hand luggage? needs to be usb c"
Sim update 15 looks great
aerosoft a330 looking fresh 💀💀
How did he make the pilot's hand visible?🤭
WOW. Nice surprise to see you filming from the real deal. Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
Mann, this is what makes you so uniquenin the flight sim community.
No way he just brang his thrustmaster tca into a real a330 cockpit🤣
This is an a330 cockpit! They're pretty similar, though.
@@hypoxia_lover that's what he said
🤦♀️@@hypoxia_lover
@@britishairways744 Lmao he edited it, it said a320 🤣
@@hypoxia_lover what the heck are you talking 😭😭 why do you lie
Emmanuel this video is so cool. The stick comparison is awesome but the aviation nerd in me just wants to see more of the cockpit. How do we get more of these???
Wow, watching you in the plane is incredible, Emanuel! ❤
Who needs a home simulator when you can just fly the real thing! 😁
Do you think one day it will be possible to have a video like : POV in a day of an airline pilot ?
Amazing! I love this mix between real life pilot experience and flight sim enthusiast 😊
The priority right works with the thrustmaster in the fenix
Finally the comparison! I’ve been waiting for a long time for this one
That is amazing! I truly hope for a good Fenix level A330 in the sim. A330 is my personal favorite Airbus of all. Thank you Emanuel
Another incredible video, as always. Thanks Emanuel !
Awesome video, I love the irl content!
This is very cool! Videos like this that compare the sim hardware (and software) to the real thing is very interesting
There is also another difference, if you move the airbus stick all to one side it will come back slowly, instead the Thrustmaster one comes back suddenly
appreciate you making videos for us from the office! cheers!
This is amazing! Thanks for bringing this to us
Love the real life videos comparison!! Amazing!
I love this pilot! So much passion for his job and so knowledgeable! Would love to be flown by him!
Think his doing cargoflights so opt for the jumpseat 📦
Nice. I ordered the Flight Sim Projects stick about a month ago. Should have it this summer
Super interresting video as usual ! 👌
Awesome video! The priority button really does work with the Fenix A320! Wouldn't it be fantastic if the mechanism could be properly simulated within a shared cockpit scenario as per real world. Have a safe flight :)
Wow, sitting in the plane! Just awesome video!
Such a nice Video Emi!
Nice one. I don't think most of us were looking at the stick as much as we were impressed you were filming from a real A330. Nice!
My man, you are the best out there! thanks
great to see the how similar it looks, i hope the flight goes(or went) well :)
That was a really fun video haha! Cool to see you in the real airplane :)
This is such a cool video!
thanks ! Great Video
I didnt even know my thrustmaster stick had a button down in the front before watching this 🤡 as always love the video, short and sweet. Also interesting pushback tractor there at 3:16 😂
I didn't know that either. I just checked mine, and it does indeed!
I love it. I hope we'll get more real world videos!
You didn't mention that Airbus forgot to put in all the buttons on the left and right of the Thrustmaster stick.
Manny, You probably already know this as I think you where referring to native hardware functionality, but if you have the thrustmaster TCA/sidestick mapped correctly in the Fenix you can actually also use the autopilot disconnect button to take priority as well (: obviously it’s not a hardware function and you’re not actually taking “priority” from anyone lol, but the end result (as far as the annunciator and voice warning) is the same. Default setup is the captains side as the active sidestick but you can change to F/O side mapping/control from within the EFB.
🍻
Airbus flex. haha. Nice. I'm impressed how similar the TCA is visually and size wise. The lack of force required to move the stick is pretty much what I expected. If they made the Thrustmaster harder to move, it would need to be much heavier to stop you tipping it over.
Incredible video! Thank you very much! … and looks like my Thrustmaster stick isn’t bad at all 😀
Ich fand das Video super, weiter so, und für viele Unterhaltung im Sache msfs. Danke schön.
Brilliant to see this comparison. They did an excellent job for a reasonably priced stick.
I saw "Thrustmaster vs Airbus Driver" and thoguht oh no what has he gotten himself into now! 😆
Great comparison ! I think TM did quite a good job as a lot of PC joysticks are not as stiff as the TM even if TM didn't make it so you require as much force as in the real aircraft. With the companion TCA throttle you can turn a screw to make the levers more stiff, shame they didn't implement something like that on the stick, although my experience with the throttle is that even if you tighten up the screw for the throttle, the levers get looser quite quickly
thanks for the video emanuel! but i have one question about the inibuilds a320neo: ive been flying for some time and i am now flying turnarounds like LGW-COR-LGW but when i want to start my engines after the first flight (when i have started the 2nd one back to the orgin airport) i have all fuel pumps on, ing start , in the standard startup config but when i start any engine it stays at 4,6 and wont fully startup even after waiting for a long time. is there something i need to do different in order to start my engines completely? please let me know.
Very cool!!! more videos like this!!!!
Fun Fact: I just ate 2 mid size muffins while watching this video 1 Blueberry and 1 Chocolate!
when?
1:46 Why not?
Please correct me, but my understanding is that the AP DC button is a simple press and release button on both sticks, and simply holding it longer switches to priority. If I remember correctly, I’ve done this on the Fenix once (using the thrust master stick obv) and the Priority left callout did occur. So where’s the difference?
Also, it’d be nice if you could tell me what the required duration is to take priority. I’ve often heard it’s supposed to be 30s, but that seems rather long. Specifically, there’s a relatively famos video from an A320 training flight out there, where the student is about to touch down really hard, and the captain takes over and initiates a go around, also using the priority function. There’s no chance 30s could’ve passed there. You also obviously didn’t hold it for 30s in the video. So is just briefly holding it enough?
I use this TCA more than all my other controllers. Great with the Fenix.
The priority button works on Toliss and Fenix, just need the right binding. I think it's more like the problem of software and addons not the stick hardware/firmware.
Great Video
We need more Videos like this, it was just amazing thanks Emmi
Finally! a true to life comparison ;D
Passengers thinking now how extravagant pilots are becoming to take their own stuff into the cockpit. But yeah, I like the Thrustmaster a lot, I use it for flying as well (only simming just to be clear lol)
Always good to have an extra side stick on board.
Captain the priority sound can be mapped in msfs I believe. On my logitech flight stick I have the ap disconnect mapped as "AP OFF" and when I hold it, it reflects that in the game and on the fenix you can hear the priority sound.
I confirm this.
Anyone just got a nice cockpit view sample at the introduction?😂 I'll definitely use it to set up my main cockpit view!😊
Moreover, I wish you can do the same in a 737 with the Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke!
Great video
Awesome video, thanks, however, the functionality of using the a/p disco button to get sidestick priority is obviously not something that is in (or lacking in) the hardware, but in the software.
You do have it om the fenix tho
Thank you sir for this video. I have the Thrustmaster sidestick for over a year and I just realized there is a second button above the trigger !
PS. this Airbus looks like it is parked on someone's backyard, a farmer maybe judging from the tractor :)
I have the same one. But never noticed there is an upper button above the PTT button at the back of the stick
wow just wow livin the life capt !
1:44 I used the priority button a lot of times, it can do it
Yeah on the fenix 320 it is possible, You do need to calibrate the red button to JUST AP off not both
@@JoinEliteClan I think it also workes with the FBW but idk
Who are you taking priority from? Does it work in shared cockpit?
@@cityuser idk never tried shared cockpit
I mean, not being able to use the sidestick priority function in an MSFS Airbus is more a software issue than the actual Thrustmaster stick itself lol.
Junge das ist nicht dein Ernst dass du dein Sim Stick mit ins Cockpit schleppst😹 was ein geiler Typ ey
We need more videos from the real deal, no other flight sim reviewer can do that.
My assumption was correct, I know exactly which airline you fly now :) My parents just flew on your guy's A330
Discover?
@@ceoverona1929 he won’t reveal the company he works for due to company policy so I won’t out him like that lol
if u plug that thrustmaster one into the plane can u use it to fly
Is the return to the center as powerful on the real one??
The Airbus A330 is my favourite airplane.
Question, do you memorize the flows and procedures for airplanes you haven't flown in real life on flight sim or do read and do checklists?
Thanks and I love your videos!
This might be one of the most unique reviews of all time on youtube! Now I also need a "Thrustmaster Formula 1 wheel vs Real counterpart" review haha.
This is awesome 😅❤don't use the wrong on 🛫 takeoff !
thats so weird seeing them both there together lol
I fly the Fenix with the logitech g flight yoke and when a try to fly manually the nose always goes down when keep my yoke with 0 imput. Like if the plane was not compensate. It's normal ?
May just be a issue with the Yoke not being designed for Airbus. Though you can probably tweak the curves to get the pitch input centred in the game
i forgot but i also have a Left sidestick fault calibrate null zone on ecam
I found the problem. I don't know why but my sensitivity parameters had change
If the yoke actually transmits zero input (check the calibration window in windows) then nothing should happen. Perhabs it's not calibrated correctly or needs a slightly larger deadzone.
1:28 With the right configuration the Thrustmaster can do the same thing in the Fenix in MSFS.
22t of FOB for a 1:40 flight between FVFA and FYWH😮
What sensitivity are you using for the TCA and the Fenix?
As per their recommendations. I believe that's currently -20? Not 100% sure though. It's in their knowledgebase.
Need to get yourself a proper stick and throttle. I recommend a win-wing with airbus grip for a stick (i use the super Libra and love the look and feel; and a throtteltek airbus quadrant. It mimics the real world airbus pedestal, feels great and dramatically improves immersion.
Next is MiniFCU/WinWing FCU compared to the real one ? :)
EPIC!
Hi,Emanuel!Just your Fenix settings for this JOY
Hi, as per Fenix recommendations. I believe that's currently -20? Not 100% sure though, it's in their knowledgebase for sure.
The real Airbus sidestick looks like a clutch 😂
It would be nice to compare the price too :)
Hand (+ arm) reveal ! 😂
I liked your video
Danke my German friend !
FVFA Apron 28 ?
Your voice sounds so strangely similar to another RUclipsr I watch, “mikegoesboom” 😆
I think Thrustmaster did a good job
Did I understand that correctly? The TCA is better because it has more buttons?
😂😂😂
wait Emmanuel has arms?
Waiting for the Boeing version video. Thrustmaster VS. Boeing Let's compare the TCA Yoke Boeing Edition against the REAL counterpart.
Thanks in advance ☺️
That's not going to happen, as he doesn't fly 737s anymore. Unless he has some friends that could get him cockpit access again.
Also keep in mind the TM Boeing Yoke is designed according to the 787 specs, not the 737. I doubt I'll fly a 787 anytime soon.
And it wouldn't fit inside my flightbad LOL
@A330Driver, You are already doing a lot for the flight simulator community ✈️🙏🙏
Am I the only one trying to read the aircraft reg in the cockpit ?
But the texture seems a bit blurry 😂
Bruv this is why my flight was late because emi was filming…
You have a head that you can turn :')
MSFS graphics are getting better!
This is so cool 🤣
toliss a330?
V2!
Luke, I’m your father hahaha😂. Thanks for answering how real is our stick?
LIDO charts :)
Can you so more IRL content 🙏 maybe on a new channel or on this one
