Probably the greatest moment of my live music life. Generations coming together, being there with my entire immediate family, it's hard to top this. And I've seen Paul and ringo do songs together.
I love Bruce's solos so much, he's clearly not the technician Tom is but he makes every note count, wrings every drop of meaning and emotion out of it.
Very true. I was watching this with someone and they were asking why he was sweating and acting like he's hurting. Like you said, it's because he's putting everything he has into every note. A master at work.
This gives me goosebumps everytime. Especially when bruce´s voice cracks a bit in the very beginning of the song. You hear how he´s singing against the injustice in the world.
Same, amigo. I always get teary eyed listening to this song, especially heartfelt renditions of these beautiful guitar solos (even though the original has a harmonica in their place).

Fantatastic. I love the original but this arrangement takes it to a whole different place. The solo from Bruce is great but Morello's two are out of this world.
Aside from the amazing musical talent... This song means a lot to me. I lived it. Quite literally. I mean we all take music and we make it our own one way or another. But this song is relatively literal. I was a strung out homeless needle using shitbag junkie. Speaking of which by the way today is my 2-year mark. To the day. Anyway... This song still brings me to tears when I hear it. It speaks volumes. I love the guitar work. The first time I ever heard this I wasn't watching the video I was aware that it was Bruce Springsteen and Tom Morello but as I said I wasn't watching the video I was just listening to the audio in the guitar work I did not know that they were going back and forth. I thought it was just Tom Morello. I mean he does have a very very distinct sound. Which brings me to my last point... He hits a couple notes in the second solo that he does.. Tom Morello that is.. It's very nostalgic. Listen for it. Even the crowd gets louder when he hits those notes. It's very very very nostalgic of the raging against the machine days I recognize those notes the moment I heard it. I love it when artists take a handful of notes from another song and they incorporate it into something different decades later. At any rate.. Happy new year to all of you. Stay safe and God bless. ❤️

Then I heard the Howard Stern interview with Tom. I love Rage and Audio Slave, so I was curious. When this started goosebumps started to pop up throughout my body. When Tom did that solo at 6:27, I noticed my tears drop. I hope if things open up, I will get a chance to see the Boss

Random dude on the internet about RATM: "Another successful musician instantly becomes a political expert" Tom Morello responding: "One does not have to be an honors grad in political science from Harvard University to recognize the unethical and inhumane nature of this administration but well, I happen to be an honors grad in political science from Harvard University so I can confirm that for you." He is a pretty decent guitarist too, by the way.
@@johnfrancis4882 What worries me is that Steinbeck's book was written 80 years ago. Crying for justice has always been loud but can't crash the system.
and signing a deal giving billions of dollars to banksters like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan that ruined the people that Springsteen wrote about in Ghost of Tom Joad in 2008 (it was Obama) is ethical and human ? he should know about this, there's plenty of assholes graduated from Harvard that are destroying the society at Goldman Sachs right now, maybe Tom could call his former prom camarades to talk about ethical and human conceptions, and maybe give them Wrecking Ball album (with Jack of All Trades and so on).. Or maybe it's better to tax people with Biden
Mark Music Yeah, and over half the country makes 30k or less. All that wealth is concentrated at the top, hence the "high times on Wall Street and hard times on Main Street" that Bruce said at the beginning. Wake up, brother.
I'm 36 years old and think it's unbelievable how much I've witnessed in this lifetime already. Anyone in their 30's could say the same thing. In the music category, my #1 is being 19 at Woodstock 99 seeing Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine and Metallica; in that order on a Saturday night.
Yup... Summer after my freshman year of college. The energy was off the roof for Limp Bizkit, which kind of sucked because everyone was beat by the time Rage came on... Another thing that sucked was having 2 MAIN stages with headliners performing on both at very same time... Made for some tough decisions. For example, I think Rage and Chemical Brothers were both on at the same time. Overall, the 3 acts that tore the place up were: Limp Bizkit, Korn, and Kid Rock. Watch the video of Korn playing "Blind" and look at the crowd... Absolute MAYHEM!!! Was the best.
I think we're safe to say that this is "The Ultimate Rock Experience" You got: the songwriting, the musicians, the performance, the whole thing is outstanding, and so heart-blowing. If your soul doesn't filled up with this magnificent energy probably nothing would
I bet this completely made Tom's year and then some. Springsteen has been a hero of his for a long time. You killed it Mr. Morello!!!! And the Boss... what can you say!?!? Awesome!!!

This song the lyrics break my heart, and that guitar breaks my soul.. love it.. why don’t politicians listen to this and other songs? Don’t they have kids who listen to music... can’t they hear the cry of humanity...
this is the best live performance that was ever performed till theese days. and the song. dont get me wrong. this is just the same as a lot of shows performed till now. but this one is for me no1
Random dude on the internet about RATM: "Another successful musician instantly becomes a political expert"
Tom Morello responding: "One does not have to be an honors grad in political science from Harvard University to recognize the unethical and inhumane nature of this administration but well, I happen to be an honors grad in political science from Harvard University so I can confirm that for you."
He is a pretty decent guitarist too, by the way.
The cruel barbarism of our ENTIRE SYSTEM is what this performance protests
Marxists and anarchists are a danger to America and need to be treated accordingly.
@@monikaszymanowska5142 the system compromises itself. People just need a good alternative.
Hard to find a better guitar solo ever, truly amazing no matter how many times i listen to this.....
This song should be the anthem for whats going on in America right now.
What?? we're the most prosperous country in the world. You most be stoned
Most prosperous country in the world? That would be New Zealand. The USA comes in at a whopping 17th, friend.
I'm talking real countries numb nuts NOT countries that have 5 people. What a moron
Mark Music nah
Mark Music Yeah, and over half the country makes 30k or less. All that wealth is concentrated at the top, hence the "high times on Wall Street and hard times on Main Street" that Bruce said at the beginning. Wake up, brother.
Possibly one of the greatest guitar solo' s of all time imo.
😅
I'm 36 years old and think it's unbelievable how much I've witnessed in this lifetime already. Anyone in their 30's could say the same thing. In the music category, my #1 is being 19 at Woodstock 99 seeing Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine and Metallica; in that order on a Saturday night.
Crazy Comments dam you were there????
i have seen that limp bizkit performance like 200000 wishing i were there. how was the energy
Im50....yes this is at the TOP
I think we're safe to say that this is "The Ultimate Rock Experience" You got: the songwriting, the musicians, the performance, the whole thing is outstanding, and so heart-blowing. If your soul doesn't filled up with this magnificent energy probably nothing would
Tom should be required to appear at ALL concerts. It
should be in Tom's contract. "You are to appear at every concert."
.
Bruce puntea con todo su arte de gran guitarra y Tony Morello, simplemente es un ángel de la guitarra.
Awesome....no other words can describe this performance
Probably one of the amazing guitar playing
the single greatest performance at the single greatest concert in all of rock history, in my estimation
I bet this completely made Tom's year and then some. Springsteen has been a hero of his for a long time. You killed it Mr. Morello!!!! And the Boss... what can you say!?!? Awesome!!!
