Roger Waters of "Pink Floyd" and Tom Morello of "Rage Against the Machine," played a benefit show with MusiCorps, an organization that gives veterans a chance to live again after war.
Tom Morello is a rock god and he is incredibly smart and well spoken. I am in awe of this talent.
Tom Morello is a true artist and a gentleman. The way he sings this song and shows respect @ 4:00 by turning off his pedal to let that warrior play his part is truly inspirational and says a lot about his character. Always loved Tom, but now I feel an all new respect for him...Good dude.
Definitively the best guy alive
Actually he turned on his delay and equalizer pedals. But besides that, everything else you said is correct.
Well thats just common courtesy really, isn't it? Let's not get overly emotional haha
That was very cool and full of respect!! I agree totally! Way to go Mr. Morello!
He's very good at guitar. Maybe he should talk less, because that intro was embarrassing for everyone.
I love the veteran in the wheelchair how he owned and felt the guitar solo. Awesome.
It's literally impossible not to love Morello.
It was such a joy to be on stage with my brothers and sisters that night! Thanks for capturing this and posting it- all these comments warm my heart.
greglomanmusic it was an honor to get the opportunity to film this show. I’m happy that it meant so much to you!
The true embodiment of music..And Tom Morello definitely added something To Bruce Springsteen's lament to the John Steinbeck classic..Great stuff by all up on that stage👍.
Hi greg , i hope you dig this ...we are on YOUR side , greetings from australia
ruclips.net/video/eB7E2rc3bwg/видео.html BAD UNC SAM>
this was amazing
Greglomanmusic so happy for you my love
Damn. Morello's guitar solo is out of this world!
How cool is Tom Morello? Damn that dude does it right!
When my buds and I were in Iraq, Audioslave was all over the radio, and they became our music. I love to see Tom Morello here continuing to sing with and for us.
Thank you for your service
Morello is easily the greatest guitar player of his generation. I absolutely love watching him play. Dude crushed it
I totally agree! He’s one of the best. Billy Corgan, PJ Harvey, Kurt Cobain, Mike McCready, Stephen Malkmus aren’t bad either.

Opinions boys Opinions!
It was my great honor to be one of the video camera ops on this gig. These Vet's proved there are no excuses for playing poorly...every one of them was missing at least one body part...some were missing 2 or 3...the proof is in the music. Thank you for this incredible experience.
IT'S ROCK AND ROLL
oh,i didnt notice that, thank you for pointing that out
I have no good enough words to describe the greatness i've just watched.
*One must know who Tom Joad is. He's the protagonist in "The Grapes Of Wrath." He's essential to the human existence, civil liberties and stands tall against inequities!*
great comment, thanks for the context!
Watching the dude in the wheel chair rip out that solo brought a tear to my eye! Absolute respect the a rocking guitarist.
Too True
Me too
Yeah he is living more then ....
The gentleman in the wheelchair fucking ROCKS!
Me too!
Being a radio operator,Special Forces scuba diving paratrooper, that plays guitar and piano,These guys are awesome and make me wish I were half as good as any one of them.I'm proud to have such talented soldiers as my brothers.
the one thing i love bout tom is that, whatever solo he play in the studio, he play the same ,live and sometime better.
A combat veteran salutes you all. Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking collaboration of musicians. Hooah👍🙏🏻🎼
Thank you for your service 😊
Tom Morello and David Gilmour are my two favorite guitarists ever.
2 of my all time favorites.... ❤🤘
You can't argue with favorites,
excellent choices dude😊
This is why I love Tom Morello. Got this guy in the chair jamming on stage with em. He's so passionate about these issues of politics.....I can't stand politics personally but his causes and message is a just one. I admire him as a musician but as a decent human being first. Keep fighting at making this world a better place Tom
Tom and Bruce do the best version of this but this one rocks too thanks to the vets for their service and Tom for telling it like it is
+rex s The version with Tom Morello and Jim James, got pulled down, but that was really epic to.
Nico Holst Pedersen that version is the best there is. They completely stole the show. Hopefully it will b back here someday.
THANKS!
Although the original is a great piece, RATM's cover of Ghost of Tom Joad" is the embodiment of what this song should sound like. What i mean by that is well RATM adds, RAGE and anger to it, it adds that edgy "Fuck the system" feel.
Fabian, solid comment
Rage, Floyd and vets playing Springsteen- what a great thing!

I have never been so inspired to play guitar as I have by watching this video. There is literally, absolutely *nothing* stopping you from learning to play. If our wounded or disabled vets can do it, you can, too. Get out there and do it!
This was Awesome!!!
This is what humans should aspire to do with each other every day of every week of every year.

This was such an amazing and inspiring concert. The backing band were fantastic, and absolute rock stars. Tom Morello hits the nail on the head with his speech before the song.
The lead guitarist /vet also nailed the solo to Comfortably Numb. I was in tears!
Was so glad that I'd come over from the UK to witness this!

Where words fail- music speaks.
Is that GE Smith from Saturday Night Live. Finally gets to really rock out. What a great song and video.
Check him out in the Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Concert. He was the band leader
I think it is.
I swear, one of those guitarists looks like GE Smith. If it is, then he deserves credit. Smith is a great guitarist.
absolutley brilliant, thanks for posting, respect to those who gave up so much, if only those who sent them in harms way could be held accountable
This is one of the most amazing anythings that ever anythinged.
Incredible! Music heals!
Fucking ToM!!! That was epic, That one was for the people!!!!!!!!!!!
Tom one of the best guitar players
Love a good and well-played/emotionally charged and sung Ballad. 🌿💜🌿
World's greatest living guitarist.
Respect from Norway!!!! Had to shed some tears... :-)
Me too, definitely... respect from Germany
WoW!! Great song.
Of course they're a great band. They have G.E. Smith as musical director, clearly.
Awesome version!
Springsteen is a sickass genius. This song is fuckin unbelievable yet it wouldn't probably make his top 20
So good.
well done good song
Fantastico Tom!!! Bravo !! Bravissimo!!! 😅😅😍😍😍😘😘💔💔💋💋💘💯
Beautiful. Just beautiful in every way. Thank you thank you.
Bow down and confess your sins to Tom Morello. An alien sent to earth to smoke all guitar players. Eternal thanks to the vets for their service -- what incredible musicians they are.
+Steve Lee
Zero tone boring posturing if you ask me, but to each his own.
+Josh Smith Incredible tone and brilliant mind. Sorry that you don't understand anything about music.
+Fuzzy Dunlop Are you by chance Tom Morello, or maybe his mom? I've noticed you refer to him as one of the top 15 guitarists of all time on another post, a POV no one with a rational mind would agree with. The shitty overwrought, boring solo he performs here, along with the self indulgent posing are utterly inappropriate for a pseudo folk song referencing the Grapes Of Wrath. Did I mention his singing sounds forced and fake as well?
+Josh Smith Did i mention you're an idiot who doesn't understand anything about music? He's AT LEAST one of the 15 beast guitarists of all time, if you knew anything about actual music you'd realize that. The solo here is fantastic as usual, nothing boring unless if you have a crappy hear that doesn't want to listen to anything other than Hendrix. No self indulgent posing here(you're giving away you're pathetic hater nature). It must suck to be you, you're really dumb.
Praising Tom Morello and putting down Hendrix in the same breath...great look kid. Go do the dishes or you won't get your allowance.
awesome show. thanks.
Just amazing! Gives me chills.
This is wonderful :)
Awesome - what a guitar player 🎸🎸🎸
Fucking A! This is the alchemy of flipping negativity and pain into a beautiful, raw human experience! Bravo Music Warriors!
Hell man, I cried thru the last half of this song. I can't figure out if if was Tom, The Band or just seeing the wonderful act of humanity come together for this great song. God Bless Em All !
Great!
This is bloody great!!!!!
This song would have fit Roger's voice really well. Maybe he'll sing it with Tom or Bruce someday.
Ahhh! U r an antichristian??
