  • Offbeat Outlaw is back with another annoying build and this was is so annoying he himself has banned it! Well not really Offbeat Outlaw allows all dungeons and dragons builds at his table, but this dungeons and dragons build is deeply annoying. The entire purpose of this build is to ensure that nobody other than you gets to do absolutely anything. You wanna play? Not when this guy is on the field.

MISTAKES: naturally I made a few, here they are
BLADESONG: you cannot activate bladesong while wielding a 2 handed weapon. So our AC is a lil lower.

Hey could you make a high mobility build that allows you to use both vertical and horizontal movement to choose who to fight and reposition them for forced 1v1s?
The idea is you choose who you are fighting at any single moment and at the very least have enought mobility to always maintain yourself on favorable positions to use things like cover and so on. Ideally you can reposition an enemy and then you have the ability to fight them then one on one while still controling their position so that you don't just die alone because of it.

It's cute that you have 10 different reactions, but you can only use one per round.
So if you have more than one opponent it falls pretty short.
    Alright, hear me out.
    Race: Halfling
Class: 18 Levels into Wizard (Divination); 2 Levels into Cleric (Order)
Feats: Lucky, Bountiful luck, Warcaster (We need to hold our concentration)
Spells: Shapechange (into Marilith for a reaction each turn), Silvery Barbs (at will, with the Spell Mastery feature from taking 18 Level Wizard)
With that you get as many reactions as there are turns in a combat.
You can basically cast silvery barb on enemies attacks (in the enemies turns) or enemies saves (in your friends turns), give your friends advantage, and because you affected them with a spell, they can use their reaction to attack the enemy instead (via the Voice of Authority feature from the Order Domain Cleric).
With your portent and lucky dice, enemies are (basically) bound to miss / your friends are (basically) protected from rolling natural 1's.
On top of that you have some new resistances and advantage on all saving throws against spells and other magical effects, your weapon attacks are considred magica, even if you don't have magical weapons, truesight within 120ft. and a free 120 ft. teleport as an action that doesn't cost you any resources other than your action and that can't be counterspelled.
Just in case someone manages to damage you out of the marilith form, you keep some Shapechange spellscrolls at the ready.
You basically decide the dice rolls.

Level 15 is needed, 7 in psi warrior, 3 in hexblade warlock with the pact of the chain wizard 2 for war magic, int helping the initiative and a +2 to ac or +4 to saving throw, 3 in artificer battle Smith for the ability to use int instead of strength or dex with weapons. Point buy 14 for dex int and con, 13 for cha, and 8 for str and wisdom. Choose gnome for +2 to int and use one asi for int, and the other for a feat. I haven't decided which would be best, but you could also feasibly use it for another asi to int for a +5. The number of psi warriors special dice is based on prof bonus as well as several other abilities from the various classes calling on this as well, so many abilities will scale with total level.

Personally id go with Divinitation wizard and then eldritch blast(crossbow expert) for opp attack. Divinition wizard is just a free action reaction. which is just better coz you get an extra reaction. PLUS 4 eldritch blasts with that pushing invocation, lets you just push the creature 40 feet back... Which is in most likelyhood behind where he started in the first place

I just thought of something that will make this build even more annoying and broken. Tunnel Fighter fighting style. Now you have another thing you can do with your reaction, and don't have to weight the cost of taking your opportunity attacks when they come up. It does require the permission of using UA, however, but if a DM gives the approval, it can be done.
