So my 2009 Saturn Vue shift lever is stuck on park but my car is actually on Drive. So for now I have my emergency break on, I turned off my car with the break still on and tried turning it back on, only for it to not even try to turn on. Is there an emergency switch where if the car is on Drive then it won’t turn on? I’m gonna look at it more tomorrow, but for right now I am unable to turn it on and that shift lever is not budging!
I for certain you will some kind of code related to shifting console. Please check for code even the check engine light is not turn on.
How did y fix the cable my Saturn has the same problem except the shift lever won’t move. It is stuck in park but the car is actually in neutral. When I took out the center plastic around the shifter I noticed the cable was doing the same thing as in the video
I think your collar that holding the shift cable is loose or came off. If your cable doing the same thing as mine in the video, I replaced with the new shift gear assembly, just as I did to this one.

Hi yes that worked I was able to get the gear in park and it then lined up correctly so I could put the orange collar back in place.
Hi the collar came out again after driving it for a few days. Can I just get a new collar? Can you send me a part# for a new collar or if I would have to replace the gear shift assembly can you send me the part number for that too
My 2008 Saturn vue is having water leak into the floor I’ve checked the heater core and checked for a stopped up hose. I’ve tore all the seats out and the main carpet but the carpet under the dash is still wet and ideas?
Did you replace the heater core yet? If water found under the dash and on the carpet is very likely a bad heater core. To verify you can pressure test the coolant system. I hope my direction helps you.
@@autorepairprocedures see that’s what I was thinking but heater core is good I was wondering if it’s coming thru a rubber body garment or some crack leaking thru
@@kodymartin6475 ok, heater core is good, that is good news.
I can think of is the rubber grommet is for A/C is partially plugged, this can be a reason you see water under the carpet. Solutions are easily as follow:
1. You can use mechanic wire to fish out debris from that grommet.
2. You can blow shop air but not too much, then the water will drain out. I have done this a lot.

Do you have a sunroof? My wife's Saturn had the same problem and it turned out to be the sunroof drain hose came unplugged and dumped in the floor instead of the ground. It was pretty easy to fix.

You meant “dash break and won’t shift into gears”? If so, something is either break or not align inside. I did my best to guess your writing. Working on center console is not easy job, you can bring it to a repair shop so technician can diagnose and work on it.
