- Demonstrating how to reset the automatic feature on the windows for a Nissan. Window controls. These are instructions on how to control the windows. Window operation is essential for opening and closing the windows whether it before talking out other window as in going to a drive-through restaurant or pick up. Opening and closing the windows is also called rolling up and down the windows. Older model cars had a mechanism where you would turn a arm clockwise or counterclockwise to open and close window. This was called rolling up and down the windows, allowing fresh air in or out of the vehicle. When someone approaches your vehicle to speak to you you need to be able to roll down your window and talk to them so these instructions that I get to you and the video will allow you to know how to roll down the windows or roll up the windows. In this video also go over how to lock and unlock the windows. .

Bro, if there was a medal for service to frustrated Nissan owners you would have it. I have two Nissan vehicles, one a 2013 Qashqai - Rogue for you Americans - and a 2014 NV-200 van. Both developed this issue. I took my Qashai to the main service agent and it worked for a few days and stopped. Again I asked and it worked again for a week and happened again. My NV-200 also developed this same problem after it had a flat battery and replacement. I didn't associate the two and thought it was an electronic brain or door switch problem that could be expensive to fix. I have a disability and use hand controlled vehicles. I use one hand for accelerator and brake, the other for steering and on my van which doesn't have cruise control, it's not always possible to have time to wind up my windows when using the brake or accelerator. I am away from home so can't wait until I am back to try this on my van!

I am so glad I found your video! My passenger side window would not roll up and I was trying to avoid having to bring it to dealership/mechanic for fear of how much they would charge me. Successful on my 2019 Nissan Kicks. I had taken it to the dealership for a separate repair, and got it back with this automatic feature suddenly not working. Nice to find that it was so easy to fix. Thank you brotha man!

Have a 2015 Altima. Noticed this morning that only my drivers window would work. The other 3 were inoperable. Anyway…I followed the steps in your video and all now work. I had the battery replaced last month so maybe that caused the issue. Thanks!

I drive a 2024 kicks for my security job. The auto window down worked but the auto up didn't. This solution fixed my problem.

Have a 2022 Versa had to disconnect battery to install center console/ arm rest to relocate USB ports and driver automatic window up wouldn’t work. Only going down automatic worked. Tried this trick and it fixed my problems. So this even works on the brand new vehicles thank you for the tip!

Thanks bro. Just swapped out the driver side window since there was a huge crack. It was frustrating that it would go down automatically. But not up. A week ago I installed the OEM hitch receiver and the instructions said to reset window up/down after the signal converter installation. So I found your video and now the windows work as they were meant to for the last 8 years! 😁

This was a great demonstration, even the stupid sales person at the dealership didn’t know how to reset it or even tell me that something had went off after they change my battery and I realize the window didn’t go up automatically anymore.
