What a life saver! The right side window on my 2015 Altima would not go up. After watching your video, I was able to lower the drivers' side window with the remote, and after that, I was able to raise both. I had just scheduled an appointment for tomorrow at a shop to see if they could fix this. You saved me a lot of money. Thanks.

Start with the window fully up, press AND HOLD the window control down and CONTINUE to hold it down after the window is fully down for 10 seconds. Likewise press and continuously hold the window up and hold for 10 seconds after fully up. This often clears the auto up/down control problems on many vehicles...like my Hyundai and Nissan cars.

Nice feature. I'm in the UK, we don't have the best summers in the world here...lol but still warm enough for cars to be too hot to drive away in when they've been sat in the sun all day. I had a Nissan Juke with leather interior before the Qashqai and I felt like I was sitting in an oven with all the doors open on a hot day waiting for it to air out. It's not the most groundbreaking invention in the world but it is definitely the little things like this that make Qashqai's great cars.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with your Nissan's! We are located in Alabama in the southern part of the united states so it gets VERY hot here in the summer time! This feature is nice to allow that excess heat out of the vehicle. According to the owners manual you should let the windows down after you get in and start the vehicle, that way on extremely hot days it doesn't put as much of a strain on the air conditioning system to cool the car all by itself. My dad came home from the store today and he said "this is the 2nd time I came out of the store and both windows were half way down". It was driving him nuts, glad I found this vid. I guess he was holding the unlock button a little too long. It would've been better if they made it so the other button made the windows go back up remotely.

Technology has advanced and change numerous times over the years, it's hard to keep up with it most days! Your service tech might not know about this if they haven't been in the business for many years. This particular feature isn't seen as often b/c Nissan isn't putting the auto-up/down on driver and passenger side as much as they used to. Still powered, but auto-up/down only on the driver's side in most cases. Higher trim levels such as Platinum and SL's will have this on them such as Armada, Pathfinder, Murano and Maxima just to name a few. I have a 2019 Rogue and this doesn’t work at all. I have an A on the drivers window button only. And I have looked in every owners manual I can and it says nothing about this option. I think that in 2019 and 2020 they have removed this option. But I have also found bubbles in all windows which blinds me when I drive on sunny days. My Speedometer is 3-8 miles an hour off depending on how fast I am driving, and transmission is nit shifting right. Today I almost got crunched while loading groceries as the rear door just started shutting on its own , and Also the stereo and all electronics in car short our periodically and reset everything. There are still 6 more things wrong but I figured y’all get the point .I bought this car with only 20,000 miles. So I believe that this car is a lemon straight off the assembly line. I will be making an appointment with Nissan to get car looked at, but truly I have never been so disappointed in a new car as I am with this one.

Do you have the "A" on both windows for the auto/up down? If so and you've had your battery replaced at one time it has to (easily) be reprogrammed. All you do is lower the front two windows slightly from the driver's side, then pull up on the 2 front window controls to make them go up and then hold the buttons up for 10 seconds afterwards and it should make the auto/up down work again. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan

Not from the remote. You can insert the key into the driver's door lock and turn to the left and hold for a few seconds and the windows will go up. In addition, if you put the key in the driver's door lock and turn and hold to the right the windows will go down. At any time you can let go of the button on the remote or stop holding the key either direction and the windows will stop at whatever position they are at at that moment. I'm not aware of a way to "turn it off" on its own. You could turn off the automatic up/down of the windows themselves and then that would make it not work from the remote. This would mean even when using the buttons inside the vehicle it wouldn't go up or down on its own anymore. If you're interested in turning the auto up/down function totally all you have to do is crack the two front windows, the raise them up and hold the buttons in that "up" position for 10 seconds. That should turn it off, and back on again if you decide you want it on in the future. Hope this helps! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager

    • @bondysnissan7943

@@masonbowman5280 if you do have the "A" on both front window buttons indicating you have the auto up/down feature your windows might not be programmed properly. Sometimes when the battery is removed/replaced it resets the auto up/down feature. To reset this automation you simply lower the window a few inches, then pull all the way up on the button (on both windows if both aren't going up on their own) and hold for 10 - 15 seconds. This should reset the auto up/down feature then allowing you to use the auto down from the remote. Hope this helps! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan

I researched your year model Rogue and it looks like the auto up/down feature is only on the driver's window. For this function to work you have to have it on both driver and front passenger. This video is from 2014 and at that time was a feature found on more models than the newer ones moving forward. Sorry about that. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
