You have the auto-up/down for driver window only, not both, which you need to do this procedure. Thanks for asking! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
The window lowering function from remote only works if both driver and front passenger window are auto up/down. If driver only then it won't lower from remote. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager for Bondy's Nissan
Unfortunately, you have to use the window buttons inside the vehicle or put the key in the drivers door lock and turn and hold for the windows to go up. I wish they would go up from the remote as well. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan

Sorry it only goes one way. I wish it went up as well. You can put the key in the driver's door and turn and hold and the windows go up. If you want to reach out to Nissan maybe they'll consider it as a product enhancement in the future? - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager
Supposedly if you put the key in the lock on the door, run to the lock position and hold it, it’s supposed to go back up. I’m not sure if it works with every model but if the windows go down automatically, the should also go up.
Hi Virginia! I looked up your Sentra and for the 2016 model year and it looks like the auto-up/down is only on the driver's window. If that's the set up, then this procedure won't work. You have to have the front two windows be auto-up/down for it to work. Not sure why it's making you turn the vehicle off to roll the windows down? Maybe it's something simple to correct. Thanks for watching! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
Do you have the "A" on both windows for the auto/up down? If so and you've had your battery replaced at one time it has to (easily) be reprogrammed. All you do is lower the front two windows slightly from the driver's side, then pull up on the 2 front window controls to make them go up and then hold the buttons up for 10 seconds afterwards and it should make the auto/up down work again. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
Not from the remote. You can insert the key into the driver's door lock and turn to the left and hold for a few seconds and the windows will go up. In addition, if you put the key in the driver's door lock and turn and hold to the right the windows will go down. At any time you can let go of the button on the remote or stop holding the key either direction and the windows will stop at whatever position they are at at that moment. Good question! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager for Bondy's Nissan.
You could also buy a ODB2 adapter for your respective car and code your key to raise the windows back up by holding your lock button. Less than $50 cad, and you could also discover more features that you didn't know about for your car as well, enjoy!
I'm not aware of a way to "turn it off" on its own. You could turn off the automatic up/down of the windows themselves and then that would make it not work from the remote. This would mean even when using the buttons inside the vehicle it wouldn't go up or down on its own anymore. If you're interested in turning the auto up/down function totally all you have to do is crack the two front windows, the raise them up and hold the buttons in that "up" position for 10 seconds. That should turn it off, and back on again if you decide you want it on in the future. Hope this helps! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager
Awww man I wish this feature was on my Nissan Sentra SV. I only have the A on the driver side 😢😢 I do wish the passenger side had the auto feat tho lol

@@masonbowman5280 if you do have the "A" on both front window buttons indicating you have the auto up/down feature your windows might not be programmed properly. Sometimes when the battery is removed/replaced it resets the auto up/down feature. To reset this automation you simply lower the window a few inches, then pull all the way up on the button (on both windows if both aren't going up on their own) and hold for 10 - 15 seconds. This should reset the auto up/down feature then allowing you to use the auto down from the remote. Hope this helps! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
I'm not familiar with Nissan's from outside of the United States, but you can try. Check to make sure that both the front driver and passenger windows are auto-up/down, not just auto down or auto on one side. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
As long as you have the "auto" up down on both driver and passenger side windows it should. Good luck! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan

It won't work if you have the auto up only on driver window. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
Interesting, so an Altima that's 7 years newer, and a trim level higher, not only doesn't has auto windows for both passenger, and driver side, but also removes this functionality, entirely. That is so dumb.
I believe so. As long as the driver and passenger are both auto up/down windows. Look for the "A" on the controls on the driver's door for those 2 windows. Hope it works! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager

Not upset, just informing, my door has the A on the driver front toggle but not the passenger front toggle.
Does not work on my 15 Altima. Wish it did
Do you have the "A" on both windows for the auto/up down? If so and you've had your battery replaced at one time it has to (easily) be reprogrammed. All you do is lower the front two windows slightly from the driver's side, then pull up on the 2 front window controls to make them go up and then hold the buttons up for 10 seconds afterwards and it should make the auto/up down work again. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
How sanity if it says Auto on both main window switches
But can you make them go back up?
Not from the remote. You can insert the key into the driver's door lock and turn to the left and hold for a few seconds and the windows will go up. In addition, if you put the key in the driver's door lock and turn and hold to the right the windows will go down. At any time you can let go of the button on the remote or stop holding the key either direction and the windows will stop at whatever position they are at at that moment. Good question! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager for Bondy's Nissan.
I'm in the UK and literally just bought a Qashqai (one below top spec) and you can on mine. You just hold the lock button instead and they go back up.
You could also buy a ODB2 adapter for your respective car and code your key to raise the windows back up by holding your lock button. Less than $50 cad, and you could also discover more features that you didn't know about for your car as well, enjoy!
@@fertiml wow! Thank you!!!!
How do I turn this future off?
It's something small, but can help a lot, especially in the summertime heat! Make sure the next Nissan you buy has the auto up/down on both sides and you'll be all set! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager
@@bondysnissan7943 I definitely will. This was my first time purchasing a car so I'm making note of all the lil things I want for my next vehicle. Thanks
why won’t the back go down
I tried... It dnt work... 2017 Altima
Doesn’t work on our 2020 Altima S or our 2020 Sentra SV
Or my 2015 pathfinder and I have auto windows like she said
@@masonbowman5280 if you do have the "A" on both front window buttons indicating you have the auto up/down feature your windows might not be programmed properly.
Is this available in Nissan Magnite India
I'm not familiar with Nissan's from outside of the United States, but you can try. Check to make sure that both the front driver and passenger windows are auto-up/down, not just auto down or auto on one side. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
@@bondysnissan7943 Thank you
Does it work on 2013 Nissan Altima
As long as you have the "auto" up down on both driver and passenger side windows it should. Good luck! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
Doesn't work on my 2020 Altima :-(
Interesting, I haven't tried it on a 2020 yet, but I will try to check it out for you here on the lot. Just make sure they have the auto up feature on both driver and passenger windows. It won't work if you have the auto up only on driver window. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
@@bondysnissan7943 yes, there is an A on both window buttons. I have the SV model.
K3AFV Ham Radio Operator same with me, I have the same exact car and it does not work
Interesting, so an Altima that's 7 years newer, and a trim level higher, not only doesn't has auto windows for both passenger, and driver side, but also removes this functionality, entirely. That is so dumb.
Can i do this on my 17 sentra SV
I believe so. As long as the driver and passenger are both auto up/down windows. Look for the "A" on the controls on the driver's door for those 2 windows. Hope it works! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager
Probaly wanna make a point to say it doesnt roll up too
That's a good point. So many people (myself included) wish this trick made the windows go up! Thanks for watching! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
Doesn’t work for my 2015 rogue
I researched your year model Rogue and it looks like the auto up/down feature is only on the driver's window. For this function to work you have to have it on both driver and front passenger. This video is from 2014 and at that time was a feature found on more models than the newer ones moving forward. Sorry about that. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
Ok and how do you bring it back up remotely?
Unfortunately, you have to use the window buttons inside the vehicle or put the key in the drivers door lock and turn and hold for the windows to go up. I wish they would go up from the remote as well. - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan
Ok yeah, but you didn't show how to roll them back up, using the intelligent key😮
There's no up, just down
Unfortunately yes. Only down from the remote. You can insert the key into the driver's door and turn and hold and the windows will go up, but that's the only way outside the car you can make them go up. Hope that helps! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager Bondy's Nissan
They need to update the title of video. It says up/down.
how it goes uppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp????????????????????????????? ffs
You can only put the window down from the remote. You can insert the key into the driver's door key cylinder and turn and keep holding and the car will lock and windows will roll up. I wish they went up from the remote too. Thanks for watching! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager
It'll do that when i am trying to heat my car up in the winter 🤦
My car does not do this .....2014 Nissan rouge
Make sure you have the "A" on the windows buttons for the driver and passenger side windows in the front. If you only have the "A" on the driver's window it won't work. What trim level is your Rogue? S, SV, SL? - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager @ Bondy's Nissan

I am so going to get a Honda next year..SMH...2018 Nissan Midnight SR Edition. Cant roll down windows, cant use the Nissan connect app. My girl has a 2018 Nissan Sentra and she can use the Nissan connect app. Plus I cant have what ever is needed for the Nissan Connect app Service to work. Plus it says Nissan Connect but its many meanings for that...SMH yes I am a lil salty my girl can use it and I cant..
My nissan Altima has A sign only on the drivers side and I tried to lower the glasses using the unlock button but that didn't work.Is the above feature not applicable for my car then?
Sameem Nazir correct. It has to have the “A” on both driver and passenger window to work.
Didn't work on my 2010 Nissan rogue. What a crock of crap.
Didn't work on my 13' Versa ☹
Nissan has more features than Mercedes.
Neesaan wtf?
Very stupid feature to till windows down but not back up. These videos have made my situation infinitely worse
I don’t need this feature
That's ok! Most people don't even know it exists. But, if you decide to sell the vehicle on your own it could be an added selling feature to the next owner. Thanks for watching! - Mary Baker, Customer Service Manager for Bondy's Nissan
More hp right?
NO THEY DONT GO UP you can only roll them down by using key fob,,,
Why people gotta be so misleading and complicated
BS feature. Who wants their windows down out in public? This happened twice without my knowing on rainy days and where anyone could get in. I hate your cars.
had my nissan maxima for 10 years and just found this out smh
