    It's just dumb that they didn't make it so holding the Lock button for 5 seconds would roll the windows back up. I have just as much need to roll them up, as I would to roll them down.

      It's a safety issue. It's possible for a child or dog to stick their head out the windows and get choked to death. I GET IT, there should never be a child left alone in a vehicle but as we all know stupid people are everywhere.

    ok that was stupid. you can roll them down remotely, but then you have to go up to the car, disasseble your key, insert it in the door and turn it. ok Im that close, ill get in, start it and roll them up from the inside. the whole purpose is to do it remotely.

      @@babyluvjr they do it this way because of safety regulations. It's enabled in certain countries. In NA if you do it remotely the manufacturer will be responsible in case of injury, but if you have to have your hand on the "switch" (in this case the keyhole) you will be responsible

    For all the people comparing about the lack of ability to roll up the windows remotely, it's a safety thing. If you are not in line of sight to ensure someone isn't in harms way of the window rolling up, then there a potential to be injured. So don't blame the car manufacturer, blame stupid people. I had an aftermarket alarm system on my Lexus that allowed me to do what I want because I assume the responsibility. So it would open and close all windows and the sunroof. Was a great feature during nice weather.

      My factory Toyota remote would open and close the window from the remote. Only the driver window had auto up/down (and the sunroof), though.

    The button gets pressed in my pocket and i find my windows down a lot. If its raining I cant raise them back up with the remote. Bad feature for me. Is there a disable for it?

    • @driveawaywithmark5353
      @driveawaywithmark5353  6 лет назад

      It's programed into the cars computer, I imagine someone could disable it but not easily or cheaply. I'd recommend getting a key fob cover like this one I linked below. It should help with the accidental pressing, because the silicone covers the buttons and protect the key as well. Make sure you get one that matches the buttons on your key (like whether you have remote start and/or a trunk release).

    Not sure why this was recommended, and even more confused why I watched it - I never owned or wanted to have a Nissan. Furthermore, I'm about to comment... Just to say that they did a really good job with making a simple function very complicated. On my car you just press and hold unlock for a few seconds to open all windows, press and hold lock for a few seconds to close them.

    Seems pretty stupid to me that there isn't a remote roll up function. That to me would be even more important than a roll down. Nobody forgets to roll their windows down. Plenty of people might notice once it's raining that they didn't roll them up and may desire to fix that without... Going outside? Not sure why they cut corners even with such a simple feature like that. Typical Nissan

    • @Rachel-lb5dh
      @Rachel-lb5dh 4 года назад +3

      The only reason they made the roll down feature is to let the heat out of your car before you get in. They assume once you'r in the car you can use the button to roll them up.

    • @devongee1776
      @devongee1776 4 года назад +6

      @@Rachel-lb5dh yeah but that's stupid dude. 80% of people go and put an auto starter in their cars anyway (Nissan too cheap to do it themselves until recently). And even if they don't, anybody CAN just go out to their car and open the door, or two doors, and let some heat out. You know what people DONT wanna do? Go outside in the snow/rain because their windows are cracked... Just a half assed job no matter how you look at it. It's a feature that could've been great. Instead, you can't even reverse your own actions. What if TV remotes only had a volume down button. You had to go up to the TV anytime you wanted the volume up. You'd think that'd be retarded , no?

      I was having ignition key starting problems on my '07. Accidently hit the sequence on the fob button and the two front windows partially rolled down. Window buttons on the door were inoperative. Huh? WTF! Sequenced the fob buttons again and they both went all the way down. Had to use the key to insert into the door lock twist to the left and was able to roll up the driver side window but there was nothing I could do to roll up the front passenger window and it was below zero outside and I had this stupid inoperative window. What's the solution to get the passenger window rolled up?
