- Last week I mentioned some foods and drinks that you should try to avoid before bedtime, so this week I thought I would take a look at what foods you should be eating and why they can help you sleep better.
Plus, I recommend my 5 favourite evening snacks which help me to get a better night’s sleep.
Blessings!! ❤
Wheat bread with a little of peanut butter works for me. Switch my starbucks coffee to decaf, 2 cups a days only. I'm 57 years, so far so good 👍.
Brilliant, Loida, sometimes it's the small changes that can make the biggest difference!

Really appreciate your hint/tips I love your show.fantastic. Lots of joint pains just now? And very tiered come 4pm not good for work.real struggling .🌹🌈
Hi Tupelo, our Menopause Support can be a good all-rounder for a number of symptoms including joint pain and fatigue. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/soy-isoflavones/ Extracts of Devil’s Claw can also help with joint pain more specifically: www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/devils-claw-menopause/ If the fatigue persists it would also be advisable to have a check up with your doctor as a nutrient deficiency or thyroid disorder may also be having a part to play.
Thank you so much for your great advice I will certainly check this out.so appreciate it thank you. 🌹

Hi Chirpy Cheza Nomad
Great to hear that you've found us, welcome, and Happy New Year to you too!
One of my friends was in your situation and found that she needed more protein so now eats fish and eggs. Best fish for supporting the bones is, believe it or not, sardines but these are not to everyone's taste!

@@AvogelCoUk Thanks eileen !
Thank you for your advice, it's really clear and helpful. I'm just a little confused about the dairy products which you recommend avoiding, but then recommend greek yoghurt as a snack before bed to help sleeping.
Hi Melissa
High consumption of dairy isn't recommended but real yogurt has specific health benefits in helping to maintain a good level of friendly bacteria in the gut. Having small portions regularly of organic yogurt containing live bacteria is a good idea if you can tolerate milk.

I'm so glad I found you here. Your advice has been really helping me cope with peri menopause. I'm almost turning 50 tbus year and I get bouts of hot flashes lately and this is really disturbing my sleep. Could you please suggest something that I could take for this. Otherwise I eat healthy, exercise and I'm keeping happy and busy with yoga and meditation, cooking, gardening etc. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you so much. God bless.
Hello....any advise please on what product I can use to help with hot flashes. Really troublesome 😔
Hi Mal
Great to hear that you are finding the advice helpful!
For flushes and sweats we recommend the herb sage, which usually works quite quickly. If you are in the UK or Ireland you could try our Menoforce Tablets, one with your evening meal.
Well done for looking after yourself well, as this is really important too!

What we women have to go through.. 😢
Hi Nazreen
Thank you so much for your kind comments!
A probiotic may be of help generally for your digestion but I would suggest the herb Centaurium as this is traditionally used to help with heartburn and acid reflux. Please see this link for more information.

4oz water and apple cider vinegar helps me alot
Thanks Eileen, this is helpful information. As for the cocoa powder, i thought it was something to avoid at night time because of caffeine in it.
Hi Penny
There is a small amount of caffeine in cocoa but this doesn’t usually cause a problem as you are only using one tsp. However, if you prefer not to use it you could try carob powder instead as this is caffeine -free.
I like it alot
You rock mommy
Thank you!
Thank you i will try it later god bless

Yes, joint pain is really common in the menopause but it is still a good idea to get a check from your doctor just in case it isn’t related.
Sage tablets are often sued to ehlp with hot flushes and night sweats. With our product Menoforce you take one tablet daily with food.

Hi Jean
You could try a horse chestnut gel, especially if you keep it in the fridge; this is known to help with hot tired or achy legs. www.avogel.co.uk/body-care/horse-chestnut-venagel/

how bout milo can or not?tnk u..i thougth cannot eat at middle of the nigth..tnx😊
Hi AurA
Sorry, I don’t know what Milo is, thanks
Milo is not a healthy. It has a high sugar content which spikes insulin and does not help to get a good night's sleep.
Check labels for the amount of sugar in the foods you are buying. Keep in mind 4 gm of sugar = 1 teaspoon.
Can I take the Coco powder in milk at night ya anyi time because I have never sleep early every day thank for this video
Hi Alka
Yes, you can take it at other times of the day, I often have the yogurt and cocoa for my mid morning snack instead.
Best Wishes
