“Should” is an opinion stated as the right way to do or feel about something. Subtle criticism of self or the person addressed, as it is not what actually was done or felt. Here, Mr Abhi has provided a gift. What goes on within yourself that has you believe that your opinion is the “right” way & stating it publicly is ‘right action’, rather than holding gratitude for the breathing lesson offered by a master? There is validity to the points you are making. I too heard the words "stick around to the end" but when the end came he revealed the thing he said to stick around for he had already gone over. Of course it was worth sticking around for the entire video but I was waiting for something different to happen at the end. But I had to laugh because it was a good example of how our expectations, which is living in the future, can affect our consciousness at that present moment. So here's my assessment for what it's worth. I think both Master Abhi and yourself maybe English is not your primary language and so trying to pick words that display very subtle differences in meaning, and also understanding how they are perceived by the listener, is a very delicate balance. There could have been ways for Master Abhi to say what he meant in a slightly different way to avoid any ambiguity that some people may have, on the other hand there might always be someone somewhere who interprets it in a different way than intended. Also your critique of the video could have been said slightly differently to avoid the same situation of people hearing it in a way they thought you were being a bit mmm I can't quite think of the right word, not pushy or condescending, and not overbearing, but something a bit lighter than any of those words. But we should not be judging either on what are essentially minor variations in the English language. Just to be clear on the video, I am totally ecstatic about it. Wonderful amazing, I've heard about this "mysterious" breathing for decades but never have I seen anyone demonstrate it. And this video does it brilliantly! Thank You so much Master Abhi! Thank you, @JacobSmith-hx3dv! I'm glad you appreciated the connection to the origins of these techniques. It's fascinating to see how ancient practices continue to influence modern approaches. Thank you for your kind words! ❤🙏
Wonderful. There has been some confusion for me as to what Tummo is exactly and how to practice it. Some practitioners (no names mentioned) have muddied the waters in recent years, but this, I feel, is genuine good guidance. It would be good however to know more as this is simply a guide to technique.
Now at day 11 I think. With deep respect and appreciation, I have suggestion. If ever you re-make this video stated as "beginning" level or do a feedback survey, slow down the pace of the breathing a bit. In this one, you begin at reasonable pace and then speed up faster that I'm able to correctly perform each part fully. I have hx of study of Ayurveda w/ Dr. Lad in Albuquerque, which includes lots of pranayama, which I do daily. In current version, hyperventilation occurs and actually impedes my capacity to sustain the breath hold past 40 sec., w/o improvement over the time I've been practicing this. I'm considering doing the practice w/o the video so as to be able to do a full inhalation and exhalation if I can figure out a way to create & track the 30-45- 60 sec holds I hope to achieve. Thank you for reading and also for introducing me to this practice.🙏💐

The purpose of Tummo is not to increase the temperature of the body. This is a side effect. The purpose is to bring your energy into the central channel at the naval chakra and to open the knots around the heart, throat and crown chakras. It is usually taught in 3-year retreats and requires a lot of purification practice first. When you are able to do it correctly it produces orgasmic bliss and develops the four bodies of a Buddha.
@@sumandas9487 Lama Glenn Mullin teaches it outside of a 3-year retreat. He has a number of books on the 6 yogas of Naropa. Tummo is the foundation for all of these.

I have a small creek that lives and moves through my property. During winter, which is now, I've been practicing a version of Tummo I learned from, "the art of cold." In this version you breath in tighten the stomach muscles, and those muscles used to stop the bathroom process, you hold the breath for 45 seconds of one minute, then 15 seconds you exhale and hold, then you repeat the process. You are visualizing warmth in your stomach area. I sit in the cold creek for 1-10 minutes or until the pain leaves from the icey (close) temperatures 35-45 degree's, then practice this breathing. This is different and I look forward to practicing, thank you for sharing!

@@TheSchoolofBreath today I did tummo like 5 times and it generates more heat than Hof's method. That 1st chakra feeling is life itself imo (luckily I did taichi for 2 years as a teenager). I now have a cold water soaking tshirt and AC running. This is becoming a tool. I can now choose to make more heat or not.
Yes I would try this in combination with the primary pranayama and alternate nostril breathing. Try it out and allow your body to guide you.. Cheers Abhi 🙏
Any breathing that deals with Fire element such as Tummo breathing can be quite intense and may not be suitable for everyone, especially if you have high blood pressure. This type of breathing technique involves forceful breaths and breath retention, which could potentially raise your blood pressure further, rather than lower it. I would recommend go very slowly step by step. Initially, it might be beneficial to explore gentler forms of breathing exercises, such as Alternate nostril breathing and diaphragmatic breathing or guided relaxation techniques, which are often more suitable for individuals with high blood pressure. Cheers Abhi
Thank you for this video. Probably the best I've seen. However, it isn't Tummos (there isn't an s at the end of the word). It is pronounced Dummo with the D pronounced as in 'this.' दुम्मो in Sanskrit. Also, as I breathe out, I plan to use Ujjayi breathing and not using pursed lips. I tend to have cold feet so I badly need to work with this. Thanks again!
Do you have a release technique for the diaphragm? I haven't been able to breathe properly for the past 2 years and it thrown my entire life out of balance. I miss yoga nidra every single day.

So powerful, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Please let us know if you have any questions along your breathing journey. Sending much love and blessings. Cheers Abhi ❤️🙏

Maestro I still haven't gotten to the point I can hold my breath longer than 30 seconds. I still do other breathing exercises. And I cannot remember the proper name but I also do the "3Lock Box" if you will. Doing the root lock you showed us today plus solar plexus and throat locks. I will continue practicing the tuommo breath exercise also. I'll return. Thank you for your time, knowledge, and compassion to help others. Thank you very much. 😊
You are most welcome! Thank you for letting us be part of your journey 🙏 Sending many blessings for your practice
The breath holds should feel natural, without forcing. Listen to your body and take it easy, let the breath holds gradually increase.
Namaste wonderful practice thank you
Wow i do meditation too , this was extra work which i found a challenge which I'm now working on ..Thanks
You are welcome Linda. Thanks for joining the challenge! Take this practice slowly at your own pace you will still get the benefits. It's very important to listen to your body. Hope this helps. Thanks for connecting. Sending much love and blessings 🙏

Yes. Thank you. This I understood. I feel better from this one video i did with you. It's just the speed I needed at this time. I love the empty vessel and lighted candle. I have a beatiful vision. Thank you. Today I have been shined upon in great ways and it's still leap year day! Happy
You are so welcome. Remember to keep your own pace. The practice should feel comfortable and as you progress for several weeks you will be able to increase the speed naturally. Thanks for sharing your experience. Sending healing energy and blessings 🙏
Thank you for this video. Is there an optimum time to do this routine? I usually begin my day with a large glass of water. Would it be ok to do the routine after this? Namaste

Hello Sir glad to see your video. One question can we start the inhale-exhale process slowly because as a beginner it is difficult to do the process at your speed. Thank you
Thank you very much! Namaste 🙏🏻

I've been meditating for years as part of a pain management programme for rheumatoid arthritis, but I've never tried this particular technique. So here I am. I'm actually surprised at how easy the 60 second breath hold was. I could have gone for longer. I'm assuming the breathing technique floods your blood with oxygen. I was light headed when I started the breath hold. I don't usually get light headed when meditating. Very interesting.
Thank you.Good Man.
Thank you for the beautiful vibes and connecting here. Sending much love and blessings. Cheers! Abhi 🙏
Have an amazing day everyone :) Much love and blessings Cheers
To you too.
No one ever explained the proper sequence of pranayama to me ever after four years of practice. I thank you for that Abhi.
When I first did the sequence video I cried from sheer bliss. Not sure if that beautiful piano music did it or not.
Can some tell me where I can find that piano piece.
Many thanks col
Thank you very much. I would love to learn more!

You are most welcome. Sending much love and blessings ❤🙏
Thank you so much for the practice.❤ I have 2 questions. 1- Do I need to continue to lock the perineum muscles up after I breath out, while a visualize the candle? Or do I lock just while I'm holding my breath? 2- Are you going to release the advanced tummo breathing video? Thanks in advance.🙏
Good info!! It could be good to have a disclaimer that this type of breathing exercise could be aggravating to peoples hypertensive symptoms. For those folks, or perhaps everyone, incorporating some Buteyko breathing exercises could be beneficial as well.
Wonderful, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it! Sending healing energy and blessings ❤🙏

You are so welcome Jasmina. Sending much love and blessings ❤🙏
Please could you explain why Wim Hof does very similar practice with breath hold on EXHALE (hypoxia) - when you show breath hold on inhale. I know how hypoxia affects the body. Could you please explain the effect of the breath hold on INHALE for our body. How it is works. Thank you.
Thank you so much, master fir sharing this.

Very useful breathing technique sir. Hat's off to you sir.
Thank you! Your message warms our heart. Sending much love and blessings 🙏
I tried Wim Hof breath for 4 years. Now I will try this one (already tried once) for a month and tell you which one is better imo
3rd times in a row. feeling let's say 25% more heat than Wim Hof breath, but WH method feels somehow healthier imo
@ONDANOTA That sounds like a great plan! We’re excited to hear how your experience compares after trying this practice for a month. Feel free to share your thoughts-we’d love to know what you think! 🙏🌟
I can now choose to make more heat or not.
tummo often gives me a single natural "uh" like a laughter at the end, which doesn't happen with WHM to me. until tomorrow
@@TheSchoolofBreath using tummo my cold showers now feel warm as I make them last longer. It's not even a challenge any more
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
Day 2... i just wondered is this exercise good for anxiety or would another one be better suited
Yes I would try this in combination with the primary pranayama and alternate nostril breathing. Try it out and allow your body to guide you.. Cheers Abhi 🙏
❤ supper effective n smuthy way
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️🙏
Wonderful..Respect..Peace . Blessing you.🙏
Sending much love and blessings back to you ❤ Thanks for connecting and joining our loving community 🙏
I have High blood pressure and am on medication. Will this tummo breathing help me enough to get off my meds?
Any breathing that deals with Fire element such as Tummo breathing can be quite intense and may not be suitable for everyone, especially if you have high blood pressure. This type of breathing technique involves forceful breaths and breath retention, which could potentially raise your blood pressure further, rather than lower it. I would recommend go very slowly step by step.
Initially, it might be beneficial to explore gentler forms of breathing exercises, such as Alternate nostril breathing and diaphragmatic breathing or guided relaxation techniques, which are often more suitable for individuals with high blood pressure. Cheers Abhi
thank u for this breathing
Glad you liked it friend ! Try the music on this channel to sync with the breath
Thank you 🌬️
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Namaste 🙏😊

Precious content 🙏✨🦋 Namaste peace and love from deep within ✨☀️🌼☀️✨🥰
Thank you for connecting and letting us be part of your journey. Namaste peace and love 🙏 Sending many blessings.
Thank you very informative, I just wanted to know may one perform this if you suffering from high blood and diabetes?
Very helpful, thank you.
You're welcome! Sending much love and blessings 🙏
Do you have a release technique for the diaphragm? I haven't been able to breathe properly for the past 2 years and it thrown my entire life out of balance. I miss yoga nidra every single day.
Sir.In our family my father grsndmaa everyone died due to heart disease. Now iam afraid .please tell me whether these exercises are good for heart.Thank you.
Thank you Good stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for connecting! Sending much love and blessings ❤️🙏
I will start today
Hi there, thank you for connecting. It's great to hear you will start this practice. Please let us know how you feel along the way. We are here to support you in your journey! Sending love and blessings
Very nice practice but i have some questions about the breathing. When we were practicing you were breathing really fast and i dont know if I should breath more slowly if I cant keep up with transfering my breath from belly to ribs or if I should just breath more shallowly.
Thanks for any answers.
