  • In this video I demonstrate how to wrap an elbow joint with an elastic bandage. Elbow joints are commonly wrapped after an injury to aid in healing such as after a sprain or strain, for stability during repetitive movements, and also for chronic pain relief. Wrapping an elbow joint properly will provide support and compression to the joint and provide increased comfort during healing. In this nursing skill tutorial, I walk you through how to wrap an elbow step by step so that the elastic bandage will stay in place and provide the most benefit to you or your patient.

This helped me I was having trouble with overlap and gapping. The figure 8 took care of that. It was just a forearm wrap. Looks very neat and tidy esp if you have to work with Public. Less attention the less questions you get!

A dr rx'd a wrap for (hinge area i think) my elbow on a 3 month old fall injury wherein i hit a metal object. There is still pain & some inflammation/swelling. I am now considering slinging it to help fluid reabsorb faster. Thanks for sharing/caring💖🙏

It is better to start with two stacked dressings, then continue to form a figure of eight, and end with two stacked dressings
